new favorite cafe!! love everything about this place, from the staff to the pastries and coffee. the girl that took my order was so sweet and when i was leaving another worker even gave me a free canele! i got the iced lavender latte with oat milk, my first time trying a lavender latte and it was so good! if you like the flavor of tea, you will love it. i also got an artichoke and cheese pastry (unfortunately forgot the name...), a nice portion of tasty artichoke and warm flakiness that made me want more. theres a small nice seating area on the main floor and i spent an hour getting some work done, there isnt much noice or chaos so its a good place to relax or bring some friends. as i was leaving, i took two passionfruit tarts for my family to try. i will say though the pastries are a bit pricey but the pretty presentations and ingredients make it worth it i think, especially if youre just treating yourself to something good. also consider parking because most of the spots around the area are full!

My partner and I came here on a rainy Sunday afternoon and upstairs was closed unfortunately. After hearing so much about this place I was excited to come. It was charming inside, and had inviting atmosphere. The array of baked goods definitely caught my attention.I got the strawberry shortcake. It was visually appealing with golden buttery shortcake biscuits and vibrant red strawberries with a dollop of whipped cream. The biscuit was crumbly and tender with a buttery flavor. The strawberries were macerated with sugar and sweet. I don't know if it was worth the price though. My partner enjoyed her latte. I'd come back to try their Parisian sandwich and cannelle.

Are you looking for Chicago's best canelé? Canelés are custardy, vanilla scented French pastries. They're made in a fluted mold that has been brushed with beeswax. They're crispy on the outside and moist inside. They're my favorite! Not all canelés are created equal, and I found Chicago's best canelé at Floriole Cafe & Bakery.Floriole Cafe & Bakery1220 W Webster Ave, Chicago

Cute cafe & bakery in west Lincoln park! The main thing that sets Floriole apart is the amount of interior space. For a cafe, there is so much great seating downstairs, upstairs, and outside (it looked like they have a small rooftop porch in the summer as well as seating outside the storefront!). 8 of us were able to sit comfortably at the large table upstairs. I offered a cold brew and a chocolate croissant. The croissant was flaky, light, and flavorful but I wish it had more chocolate. They had a nice variety of other tarts and breads too. My friends got a variety of things and everything was enjoyed. I'd like to come back and try other things here! For a bakery it is a little on the expensive side (I think my coffee and croissant was $12).

What a charming little bakery, delightfully crafting both timeless classics and intriguing surprises that cater to those seeking unexpected flavor combinations based on what ingredients are in season. Personally, I love this because I can always walk-in expecting something new on their menu! In addition to their pastries and breads, they also serve coffee for those looking for a caffeinated pairing. Stepping inside, you're embraced by a warm and inviting ambiance given the wooden interiors, high ceilings, and natural light that comes pouring in from their windows. The space can get quite busy especially on weekends and may be hard to find a seat. However, the space extends both downstairs and upstairs, so you can try your luck. For those seeking a place to do laptop work, I would not recommend given that they do not have public wi-fi, nor outlets to charge up. It can also be noisy on said weekends--definitely more of a place to sit down have a coffee and pastry and catch up with others. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

Glad to have finally paid Floriole a visit after many recommendations! With so many interesting flavors of pastries, it was hard to decide on just a couple. The seasonal apricot rosemary scone and the raspberry rye cookie particularly caught my eye. Although an intriguing flavor combination, I felt that the rosemary overpowered the apricot and brought too much of a savory profile to an otherwise sweet pastry. I loved how the thumbprint cookie's dough was delicately infused with raspberry, but I was not sold on the large chunks of sea salt on top. The interior is charming and staff was extremely friendly and patient. Overall, Floriole offers high quality pastries and I would recommend giving the shop a visit. Next time, I will definitely try the sandwiches or quiche!

the kumquat and almond tart is delicious, sweet & refreshing, although i didnt taste as much almond as i would have liked. the shell of the tart itself is perfectly baked - not too soft but not too hard, an immaculate texture with a perfect bite. one thing to note here is that the coffees are a bit on the sweeter side, according to a friend who got the lavender latte. you might want to request a reduction in syrup if that isn't your thing.I love the upstairs seating and at 9am on a Sunday we were able to very comfortably seat 8 of us at a table, and it started filling up closer to 10ish. it wasn't too loud, either. I also love all of the unique pastry options and how the menu changes every time you come in. we all agreed this was a beautiful spot and I'll definitely be back!

One of my favorite coffee shops in the city. The staff are so kind and do a great job. Even if I'm there for breakfast, I will grab a sandwich to go. The mustard that comes with is so so good. The flavor profiles of the desserts are a little unusual so I have not branched out to try many of those. The space is clean and inviting. Most people are there for a nice quiet coffee date. To top if off you can usually find free street parking on weekday mornings.

What a gem of a bakery! My friend and I split the butter croissant and quiche and all I can say is chef's kiss...it's no wonder they sell out so quickly. The service was phenomenal, especially considering how many questions we asked. They close at 2 but by that point they're pretty much almost out of everything anyways. The iced chai is also amazing, I could've sworn I was drinking ice cream :) there are two floors, but there's no Wi-Fi! So no opportunity to co-work here. My ONLY complaint is I wish they had matcha lol but it won't stop me from coming back

The pricing at this place is pretty steep and definitely irked me but I find myself coming back a good amount and would still recommend this place to anyone wanting to try some yummy pastries. They do classics and usually have at least a few special rotating items - would say the rotating items don't always hit the spot but they're fun!
