We live in downtown Nashville and have been wanting to come here for a long time. Totally worth the visit!!!!!!!!We loved the true diner "feel" and the theme of flat tires is captured in photos on the walls and a push pin board asking where you experienced a "flat tire". So cute. Our server and every other worker we saw was so sweet and friendly. People here were actually hard at work, sweeping, prepping tables, etc... and not just standing around or looking at phones.... Imagine!! I got a veggie melt and it exceeded my expectations! There were little chopped up broccoli, peppers, onions and eggplant on sourdough. I asked for the homemade thousand island dressing on the side to dip it in- great decision. Our server noticed when we needed drink refills and I always appreciate that small gesture. The fries that came with my melt were tasty and just the right portion. Excellent meal without feeling stuffed. The restrooms were clean, the bakery counter looked enticing, and the free parking out front was adequate. Overall great experience!!!!!

A bunch of my coworkers wanted to meet up here for breakfast one day. I like that name, let's do it. I get inside and immediately think, this place is busy and I bet all of the food came out of the freezer or a can. I was right about one of those things. It was indeed busy. However, the food is from scratch and it is very well made, and priced right. I prejudged this place because most country cooking spots end up being nothing more than premade frozen beef patties for burgers, frozen country fried steak, canned sausage gravy, and in general they cut as many corners as they possibly can. NOT Flat Tire. This place is awesome and it's old school, like grandma (not mine, she couldn't cook to save her life. God rest her soul) used to make. You will be happy if you want your food made from scratch and for taste to be above any other expectation. Also, if you are a quantity before quantity person, you will also be very happy as the portions are on point. I think this place has food to make literally anyone happy. Maybe not vegans, but I'm not looking for vegan nonsense. So they may have had vegan nonsense on the menu, and I just didn't see it. Go here. Eat. Tip well because the waitstaff is amazing. And be happy. The ambiance doesn't matter here. But Yelp wanted me to talk about the ambiance.

YUMMY YUMMY!!! We left the Hermitage and wanted to go somewhere close to grab a burger, and this was the first option. We got seated immediately, our waitress was so sweet, and the food was.... Oh my gosh... obviously fresh, hot, and *delicious*. I got the Patty melt and fries, my husband got country fried steak with hashbrowns and a cinnamon roll. Portions were perfect and we left there feeling so full and happy that we gave it a try!

First stop after a red eye flight was Flat Tire Diner. Highly rated and popular with the local folks. Ordered pork chop and eggs and country fried steak and eggs. Both were okay but nothing to rave about. Service was good and very friendly and kept the coffee warm. Ambiance was clean and airy and bright. The apple compote on my pork chop was a bit sweet and to cover up the dry, lean pork chop.

Local spot that's worth the stop! Maybe I'm partial because I love pastrami so having it in eggs Benedict form just seemed like the natural next step, but it was delicious and so filling. The service was super quick and my server was so sweet. It's a local diner feel in the best way. They also have pies and sweet things so definitely stop by. No frills or nonsense. Just good food. :)

If there's ONE thing to get here.... it's without question the cinnamon roll.I had breakfast...I asked for crispy bacon but since my over medium egg's whites were not done, they had to redo them and I ended up getting new bacon too...kinda limp..But I got this giant cinnamon roll and it took all my sadness away.It was THEEEEEE best cinnamon roll I've ever tasted - I shared with my table mates and had plenty more left for me.It was so tasty, the eggs the 2nd time around were cooked properly and the has browns and bacon were just ok... (1 star removed).Had it not been for that big beautiful cinnamon roll, I'd easily be at a 3.But I'd come back and give them another shot.

Fun local place that we definitely will return to. Breakfast places can be hit or miss, but this place delivers. Yummy French toast and good service. The crab cakes Benedict was okay. If the crab cake was crispy, it would have been much better as it was gummy. Hash browns are very flavorful, and the coffee is that perfect cup you expect from a diner. All in all, nice place. Our booth was a little uncomfortable because the two beside us had been pushed giving us very little room.
