Went for breakfast and did not have a wait on a weekend, which was a pleasant surprise. As a gluten-free person, there was plenty to choose from although they did not have gluten-free toast, but they did have gluten-free buns They gave us complementary coffee cake, which my husband enjoyed. I could not have it because it had gluten. I ordered a classic Benedict and they cooked it exactly as I asked, along with a gluten-free bun, and it was surprisingly delicious. I wasn't sure how it was going to be with the bun. The service was amazing. She was always there when we needed her, and she was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, including the gluten and dairy items. She was even able to answer all of our questions about the dinner menu since we planned on coming back for dinner sometime. Since the restaurant was not busy, I asked if she would be willing to mark up a menu for me showing me what was gluten-free and she was happy to. Check out the pictures.I cannot wait to come back for dinner.

I have been here many many years ago and finally I got a chance to revisit today for lunch. The venue is deceivingly big and there is also outdoor seating. It was a rainy day so we sat inside. It wasn't packed or anything but there were a few parties dining. The menu was very straightforward. A few salad options, sandwich options, and entree options. I went with a classic (and safe) steak salad. It came with blue cheese dressing (which is hard to mess up imo), candied pecans (yum!), and perfectly cooked (medium) and seasoned meat. Service was very appropriate (i.e. just right) and the prices were not too bad! My steak salad was 22 dollars which I am sure isn't too different from pre-pandemic days. Everything is so expensive now that a 22 dollar steak salad seems like a bargain! A solid 4 star venue.

Even though the steak was cooked to my liking, i was not impressed with the service and the atmosphere in this place. I almost walked out after waiting to be greeted and seated for almost ten minutes. The waitress was not very friendly. Also I noticed the decoration and light fixtures were coated in dust.

Ate there a few months ago, and food, ambience and service was top notch. Went back tonight; service was good and the filet my wife ordered was good but the Paella was AWFUL! Should have told the server, but she was so nice I did not. Nice place, nice people, like the ambience, but take Paella off the menu!

Unexpectedly I ended up at Flat Iron Grill. I didn't know what to expect except that it was somewhere I hadn't been before and the reviews were good. The reviews did not steer me wrong! Located in Gilman Village Flat Iron Grill is not hard to spot with its large sign, red siding, and large outdoor patio. As we entered we immediately greeted and seated. The hostess who did so was not seen again after so not sure if she was finishing her shift and we were the last she saw in. Our waitress Mackenzie was amazing. She seemed to be the only waitress serving both the inside and outside tables. While it wasn't super busy - three tables inside and three tables outside - it was enough for nonstop movement for her. She also was the busser and delivered the food, so she literally was doing everything. In spite of it she maintained a very cheerful disposition and was a pleasure to speak with. The food was excellent. I had the traditional breakfast with poached eggs. The bacon was perfect! Thick but crispy just how I like it! They served this coffee cake that was delicious and I ended up with a glass of port and a scoop of the whiskey praline ice cream. I wasn't sure if I would care for praline but was surprised how tasty it was! The ice cream was super good! It was an excellent brunch. I will certainly have to come back for dinner!

If you're looking for a good whiskey bar on the east side, then this is your place. They have many many rare, selections and great staff and wonderful bartenders. The food is top-notch with lots of variety, and they have a happy hour as well. We had a Sazerac, which was to die for, and we also had a flight of some of their more rare bourbons, and I did a flight of scotch, the bartender was very knowledgeable with the tasting notes and helped us decide which whiskey to put into certain cocktails. It was very fun evening again they have a huge selection of whiskeys, so if you're on the east side, this would be the place to go for a whiskey bar.

I was able to secure a same-day reservation here, which was good. At first I was a little disheartened because there seemed to be a musky smell at the entrance but once we got in it wasn't an issue at all and the ambiance was cute, I thought the venue itself could be a little warmer temperature wise but that could just be me. As far as food, and this is actually why I came here to write this review, I have never had a better chicken probably in my entire life. I got the organic half grilled chicken. It was cooked just right, stayed hot for a long time, the jus was so very tasty and the mashed potatoes were just right, as well. I normally don't eat chicken in restaurants since you rarely find organic chicken on the menu but I decided to go for it when I saw that it was organic and I'm so glad I did. Others in my party liked their food also. Overall it was a good experience and I will definitely go back and get more chicken.

Celebrated an early Father's Day brunch on the patio. Loved the warm complimentary coffee cake that was served while we were waiting for our entrees. The burger was the highlight and you can choose from a side of soup (tomato basil) or sage fries. Crab Benedict had quite a few crab shells in it making it difficult to eat and the egg was a bit more cooked than usual. Our server was super friendly and took time to explain the menu highlighting some of his faves

We had dined at the restaurant three times before and had pleasant experiences. We decided to come back for my birthday celebration. We ordered seared salmon, flat iron steak, ribeye, and bacon scallops. Not sure what the issue was, but the restaurant was so so SLOW. We didn't get our food until an hour later. Our drinks never came and we had to remind the waitress about our wine and iced teas. We got our food a little after an hour, finished half way, but our Ceasar salad never came. Our water was never refilled nor did the waitress even checked on us. Overall, four stars just for the food; our dishes were tasty and delicious. With the long wait and lack of presence from the waitress, sadly we won't be returning.
