Flancer's Incredible Sandwiches & Pizza

We ate here after doing a few errands with our kids and it was really disappointing. There was no wait and at least half the tables were empty. It took forever at every single step of the process (ordering drinks, getting drinks, ordering food, refills, paying, etc) and the people working did nothing to set the expectation that there was a significant delay. We ended up hungry and eating food that was also a disappointment. The pizza was undercooked and the kids sandwich was totally falling apart. It's a bummer because the Gilbert location has been great when I've gone. I've worked in food service and I'm pretty chill, but this was ridiculous. We ended up having to prebus our table because it was so cluttered while the guy who was the food runner/busser (?) wiped up empty tables and ignored us.

Fries portion is way better. lol. We love Flancers. My mom and I come here at least once a week. Her fav is the prickly pear chicken salad and mine is the philly steak. We love it so much we always get each other gift cards for Christmas.

I've now been here a couple of times to eat, both sit down and ordering my food to go. First let me say the staff is really friendly and helpful in their knowledge of their menu. Secondly, their food is amazing. It looks awesome and tastes even better. I ordered Thyme Chicken with the Jalapeño Mashed Potato Pie for lunch and was highly impressed. I would have never thought of doing that with mashed potatoes, but I'm glad that they did. Their Dessert Fresh Baked Cookie w/Ice Cream is pictured. Thank goodness I was with friends when I ordered this, because it was definitely a 2 person (or more) dessert. I will be back when I'm in the area again. You can count on that!

We ordered the Chile verde birdie turkey sandwich, green chile phyllo, and goat cheese bruschetta. There was literally a sprinkle of turkey on the sandwich, the phyllo's were cold in the middle and burnt on the ends, and the goat cheese was burned on the bruschetta. Every time we come here it is worse, and this will absolutely be the last time. I spent $100 on lunch including tip. What a waste. Time to fold it up Flancers, you have given up.

Decided to give Flancers a try after not being a patron of this restaurant for many years. It was around 7:00 PM and besides the four of us there was one other table inside the restaurant. The waitress was very nice. However, they were very slow and the food was nothing to my liking. I'm not a big fan of this place nor will I be coming back.

The food is amazing! Unique sandwiches, appetizers and good pizza! I had the prickly pear chicken sandwich. My sister had the meatloaf sandwich and my son had cheese pizza. The bread is so fresh. We also had the fondue appetizer which was delish with a little kick!

Got Flancer's to go.... And I am usually excited about their French onion soup. When it arrived though... it was just mushy onions and mushy bread. Absolutely no broth in it whatsoever. I wouldn't even call it soup. I can't believe I spent almost $7 on mushed onions and bread. I couldn't even eat it. I also ordered my steak on my pasta medium rare.... I feel like with the amount I'm paying, they can at least get the order somewhat correct. Never eating here again.

My wife had heard about this place, and we decided to give it a try. Pastrami sandwich was very tasty but really skimpy on how much was in the sandwich. Just looked like a few pieces of pastrami thrown on a roll. And ok, the bread is really good. Tuna is a hot sandwich with chilies on it. Not great but ok. Service was kind of blah. I went to the other location years ago and it was pretty good. The place reminds me of an old diner, not bad for that part of it, always enjoy a good diner. Probably will not come back to this location.

I've eaten here before and was extremely satisfied. Tonight I was not.I ordered the BLT with coleslaw and a half baked cookie with ice cream. The BLT was practically missing the L & T.Great bacon but barely any lettuce or tomato. Pretty pathetic.The half baked cookie was burnt and was so small I was stunned. They also gave me the ice cream on the side which was already melted.Maybe it was because it was Sunday and they didn't have the regular staff, but if this is what food looks like now, I would suggest no one ever go here again!!!

I've been a patron of your restaurant for the past eight years, however, today's visit was so bad that I probably will not return.I noticed a couple of months ago that the quality of the Philly Cheese Steak had plummeted but today, I ordered the Rueben. It was so greasy that I had to grip the bread tight that my fingers penetrated the bread made soggy by the grease.It was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had at your place of business.I am writing in hopes that you will train your people such that your restaurant returns to the good food we used to be able to count on.James Olson
