Maple Glaze Doughnut: Five Daughters Bakery is a family business in Franklin, Tennessee. The bakery is owned and operated by the Meek Family, which includes their five daughters. Their signature item is known as the 100 Layer Donut, which is a hybrid of a croissant and a donut (basically their version of a Cronut). 100 Layer Donuts take up to three days to make and once cooked, they're rolled in sugar, filled with cream, and topped with a heavenly glaze. Seven staple flavors are offered year-round along with limited time flavors that change from month to month. Unfortunately, I could not visit the bakery myself, but my parents were nice enough to bring me some doughnuts after visiting my brother in Nashville. The Maple Glaze Doughnut is rolled in sugar, infused with vanilla buttercream, and topped with maple glaze dusted with cinnamon. Taking my first bite I was immediately impressed by the thickness of the doughnut and how sweet the maple glaze was. Texturally, the outside of the doughnut is crisp and sweet while the interior is chewier. After my second bite, I encountered plenty of vanilla buttercream lurking inside the pastry. I'm a tough customer when it comes to doughnuts that are supposed to be "packed" with filling and are not (Stan's), but it's safe to say Five Daughters Bakery knows what they're doing. The vanilla butter cream is a little difficult to see in pictures because of the light color, but trust me, there's plenty of it. Their buttercream frosting was incredibly rich and reminded me almost of butter. It does balance out nicely with the super sweet maple flavor though.Doughboy approved.*Also, great customer service. I emailed them a question about nutritional information and not only did they provide me with it, but they also replied the same day (Thanks Ronnie Meek!). Unlike other businesses that sometimes take weeks to respond (The Cheesecake Factory).Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Oh my goodness!! How many ways do you say YUMMY?I was visiting Franklin TN for a wedding. My job was to help put the brides flowers together. I thought what a treat to take doughnuts. So I researched bakeries and found Five Daughters Bakery. I went there and at first I was oh boy I'm not gonna find it cuz it was located in a factory being renovated but eventually I found it. The atmosphere was darling. The employees were all so helpful describing things. Thank goodness cuz at first I was a little overwhelmed. Needless to say the doughnuts were the biggest hit!! Definitely recommend to everyone

The 100 layer donuts are amazing and perhaps the best I've ever had (seriously)! We ordered 6 and ate 6! I also have to say how wonderful the service was.

Loving the new 5DB space in The Factory, very bright and open. Service is consistently good. Those behind the counter are welcoming and not pushy despite usually having a line. I went in specifically for the orange quinamon roll and carrot cake 5 layer donut. Both were delicious and I really enjoyed the cream cheese frosting and light carrot flavor of the donut. Hope the quinamon rolls stick around.

Their gluten-free desserts are awesome. I got the Samoa donut and the Snowcap cookie. It was so tasty and filling and I cannot recommend it enough. The bakery itself is very clean and good-looking. The staff is sweet just like the desserts they sell. The prices are on the higher side but definitely worth it. 10/10 at Five Daughters Bakery.

How can you not like this place!? Once you get past the initial sticker shock when you see the prices, you get reeled in by the magical selections. The service is usually good, albeit many of them appear pretty tuckered out...probably from the early morning hours. The ambience is upscale diner-ish, and they have certainly paid attention to all the minutia when it comes to aesthetics. The only minus in the hole equation (get it...donut hole), is the coffee. Not that it's bad, but it's not great either. We'll be back!

Cute spot. They have a nice selection to choose from. I ordered the lemon blueberry cookie. Super soft yet crunchy. I wanted to grab another one but I didn't need all of that sugar. Cute spot to take pictures inside. I was able to get in and out. But right after me, there was a line. They stayed busy. Keep up the good work. My cookie didn't stand a chance for a photo.

Ok, we were visiting Nashville and while planning our trip, this place popped up everywhere, in every recommendation. So we went, and it was good. But I do not see what all the the fuss is about. We all (3) agreed that the lemon blueberry was the best flavor.

Oooofff we tried this location a couple times within the past month and not sure if it's just this location or what but the donut game is off...either some doughnuts are just way tooo sweet or too salty and not as fresh, they kind of have a little sour taste. Nothing taste as good as the gulch location. We usually do not finish the donuts and it's such a waste considering they're over $5 a piece. On the other hand the cookies are amazing! Their London Fog cookie is one of the best cookies I've had there, wish it wasn't a seasonal cookie! I'll have to remind myself just to get cookies here and not the donuts. First time I was here, the girls were wonderful, second time, they were ehh. I don't think they're not trained well for a Saturday crowd.

My son sent me 14 assorted flavor donuts for my birthday; 12 were delicious, but the apple fritter & the orange one (that I can't remember the name of, but it was an unusual shape) I do not recommend-the apple fritter was dry & had very few apples in it, & the orange one had no orange flavor at all. The rest of the flavors-lemon, maple, berry, salted chocolate, cookies & cream, etc., were all very flavorful, but so rich I could only eat 1/4 donut at a time. I think they were delivered by Uber Eats, & the delivery was seamless.
