Fish Pond Restaurant

It's nice to go to a restaurant that feels like home. Everyone is so nice and the staff helps each other out. Great food and great prices!!! We will definitely be back and we have already told our friends.

Craving some good ole country diner food that makes you want to go home and take a nap afterwards. This is the place. From blackened catfish sandwiches to chicken fried chicken or steak whichever you prefer, you can't go wrong by stopping in for a bite. This will be my new favorite stop on the way home now. I can have a guilty free meal cus I can pretend that I cooked it myself. Don't let the outside fool you, this place can make your stomachs stop gurgling and have you passed out watching tv at your table minutes after your food arrives. This is the place old timers come to hang out and drink coffee, watch the news on a Sunday and catch up with the locals. This is our kind of country diner!!

We're never going to come back despite my husband's love for a fried food. It took them 20 minutes to take order, and that's because I called one of the waitresses and ask if she was going to take our order. then another FORTY to bring our food. One fried catfish platter, one seafood platter and 2 burger patties with friends fries, 3 tees and 1 water cost us guess how much??? $120+. You have to pay it on the way back and since they have a bathroom outside of the main building and it's so nasty by the way, I had to take kids to the bathroom and my husband stayed there to pay. After we took off and he told me how much he paid I was SHOCKED. I have no idea how that happened because our check was max $50-$55. I called them but they never returned any penny.That was our WORST restaurant experience. Do not recommend this place.

Their sign and online presence says open at 6 am, we arrived at 6:22 am and they were not open and did not seem to know when they would be open. Perhaps a better bet would be trying for lunch or dinner, but I will not be trying there again.

Great little hole in the wall with good food and good service. I ordered the Western Omelette and it was so big, I could only eat half. My husband had the skillet and he polished it off as well. Great portions with friendly staff. We will be back.

Wife and I went on a Thursday evening around 6:15. Plenty of open seats. Place is definitely not much to look at but I've been in much worse. I had the fried chicken, onion rings and corn. Wife had the fried catfish, fried squash and sweet potato fries. Overall the food was good. Chicken was fried well but slightly under seasoned. Catfish was good but needed salt. Onion rings were definitely homemade, they also lacked salt but overall were very good. Wife said the fried squash and fries were perfect. Prices are super reasonable. Service was good. There are a few items on the menu that I really want to try so we will be back.

Fabulous food great service fun atmosphere. The chicken fried steak is the best size of a large platter great steaks too

Boudin balls great gumbo wasn't bad but I've had better. Hubby had an awesome breakfast. Busy but service was good.

This is a local spot in Willis and it's amazing. We go here often and we are never disappointed. The decor is "Cracker Barrel like", very eclectic and fun. Very good food. It's a must try.

Very nice place to eat, clean and friendly people the food is awesome and large portions.
