This is our new favorite spot! The flavors are like nothing you've ever had before. The tortillas are hand made. The seafood is so fresh. The fish & chips taco was incredible, my favorite. Next up the de coco tacos , so crispy and a bit sweet. The de espada tacos which is swordfish were boasting with flavors , a slight spice to them. We ended with the coconut pudding which was surprisingly fresh and so delicious. The place is very small, if there's a line expect to wait 15-30minutes depending on your party. Absolutely worth it or just come on week day when it's not so busy. Our server was Diana and she was very welcoming despite it being very busy. She took the time to talk to us about the menu and answer the questions we had. She recommended the dessert & we were glad we got it. We're coming back this week and bringing my mother in law. Definitely the best seafood tacos in town! With three tacos each and dessert with a aqua Fresca we both were more than satisfied.

Our party of 6 lined up 15 mins before opening on a Saturday and snagged indoor/outdoor counter spots. The place is small, I doubt they can seat more than 30 at a time. So, getting there early was crucial. I ordered the estilo baja, de coco, and de hongos. The mushroom one was delicious but the coconut shrimp was probably my favorite. I really like the batter on the Baja fish but wish they did not use the same slaw on both the baja fish and coconut shrimp -- my friend got the swordfish that had a jalapeño slaw that looked realllllyy good too. Our plates came out one by one so not everyone got to eat at the same time, but it also gave us time to chat over a leisurely 1.5 hr lunch, which probably didn't help the wait time for those still in line to get in.Still, the way they handle it guarantees your tacos are fresh out the kitchen, service was attentive, and we enjoyed multiple rounds of margaritas!FYI: they do not do take out orders, even if you eat-in but wanted another one for the road.

10/10 recommend! My bf & I went on a Sunday, got there about 12:30pmish, waited 30-45 mins to get a table, definitely worth the wait and you want to get there as soon as they open as items sellout quickly!Drinks: We got the Al pastor and Pepino santo. The Al pastor tasted like pineapple, it was delicious. The Pepino was very freshening & my BF loved it! Food: We got 3 different tacos, each comes 2 tacos. Perfect for couples or 2 friends to share! We got De Hongos, De Coco and Estilo Baja. All 3 I highly recommend! I love the De Coco as I LOVE coconut shrimp. My BF loved the Estilo Baja. But the De Hongos really stolen the show and completely surprised us. It was so flavorful! Service: Very quick and very attentive! All the servers were friendly! Ambiance: We loved the ambiance. It was group seating which was fun because you got to see what the people around you ordered and talk to them about their favorites. I mentioned couples or 2 friends but with the seating you can also do big groups too! You just need to get there before they open to ensure you are able to get seats next to each other. I will definitely be back again!

Came at 3pm on a Saturday and were told we would be the last customers of the day as they had sold out, so definitely recommend coming early in the day! We tried the Baja fish, coconut shrimp, and blackened swordfish tacos - we loved the blackened swordfish most as the fish was perfectly cooked and flavored well. The Baja fish taco and coconut shrimp both had the same slaw that was delicious, but we felt the batter could have been crispier and the particular fish that was used that day was not our favorite. Definitely worth a visit and we hope to come again!

This place is worth every good feedback that we have heard so far and that has convinced us to finally come in. We're so happy to be living a mere 5-minute drive away from it as we will be returning!Ambience:Their cozy corner location in Barrio Logan is perfect for a casual date night. We loved dining al fresco and overlooking the street. The ambience is a little bit upscale (but still relaxed) that tells you early on that the food is elevated but not in an intimidating way. What we got (each order of tacos comes with two):De Espada (blackened swordfish,) Estilo Baja (battered and deep fried fish,) and de Coco (coconut battered Baja shrimp,) all in handmade corn tortilla... everything was amazing. I can't even pick which one I like the most and I almost would always say, it is the Baja taco. But each one was just perfection. Their delicious slaws also made such a huge impact. They made sure not to use the same slaw to give each taco a sense of uniqueness and to avoid flavor fatigue. Ingredients are so fresh as well.Smokey mango cocktail - I rarely see mango as a key ingredient to a cocktail so this was a treat! Delicious, refreshing, and not too strong.Pudin de coco - a sweet ending to our meal. The cold pudding was soft and tasted of coconut cream. A very simple yet comforting dessert. We loved our time here and made our date night so special. Staff was attentive as well! Street parking wasn't a problem for us, with it being in a residential neighborhood that isn't too busy. Try to come in early as they only have limited inventory of fresh seafood every day.

Delicious fresh seafood tacos with slaw on top like I've never tasted before. I found their flavors unique and different from others but still keeping things familiar. And as it's known they only use fresh ingredients daily. They open until they're sold out - and some days that can be early. So I suggest you get there earlier if you wanna guarantee your food. I loved the smoked fish dip and their two tacos we tried. Even their cocktails had uniquely powdered the rim of glass with cumin and surprisingly totally worked with a cucumber forward drink giving a nice savory twist. There isn't a whole lot of seating so you may end up waiting in line with its popularity. But honestly it's just a good time hanging out in the area watching the low riders drive by.

Cool small spot in Barrio Logan. Very tasty fish tacos when we went and a delicious hibiscus sweet tea. The slaw on all the tacos was amazing. I was hoping for more than tacos with the hype and name but can't take anything away from them when the tacos were so good. The service was super fast on a Wednesday afternoon. We have seen the line down the street on weekends. We got the Baja, the blackened, the shrimp, and the fish n chips. Each order came with two tacos. All were great but ultimately it was an expensive taco shop. I have heard of other items being available and hope next time I am fortunate enough to get something other than tacos.

I love fish tacos and these were the best... literally the best I have ever had. The blackened swordfish was the superstar. The fish was tender and perfectly seasoned and the slaw complimented but did not overpower the flavor of the fish. The de coco tacos were very unique with the coconut shrimp's sweetness balancing the chipotle slaw. And the beer battered fish with spicy slaw was a step above any regular fish taco. We had a second order of the swordfish and with we had room in our full bellies for another order. The pineapple margarita was so tasty and fresh. We waited a bit, but since we came on from Las Vegas we would have waited much longer. The long bench seating added a community feeling with everyone raving about their food. The wait staff were attentive and the food came out really fast! I have a few favorite spots that we must go to every time we're come to San Diego... Fish Guts is now on that list. Bonus points for introducing me to this cool neighborhood with some cute shops and beautiful murals.

Came around 7:30pm on a Saturday and thankfully got seated immediately. Their outdoor seating is cute and nice for people watching hahaI thought the prices were very reasonable! We ordered the Estilo Baja, De Coco and De Hongos. The shrimp and fish were well battered I think the slaw on top was maybe more than I needed haha so I took some off to better taste the fish underneathThe highlight for me personally was the De Hongos mushroom tacos! The mushroom flavor was incredible and fused so well with the manchego cheeseI ordered the Smokey Mango Margarita but that unfortunately didn't arrive by the time we finished our tacos so we had canceled it! If we are in the area again I would come back to try the drinks and other tacos!

*Maya* and Diana killed it. I stumbled into this place with a friend, and honestly, the entire experience was excellent. You gotta wait a little bit, but good things take time--why would quality food service be any different? I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms or cilantro, yet the veggie taco somehow blew me away. Everything we ordered was brilliantly balanced in flavor. They were out of the salmon, so we will be back soon to try it. The swordfish was swoooooon! The fish and chips had the right amount of attention to detail in the garnish but somehow still had the ability to read like a classic. Even the hot sauce you can order on the side didn't miss a beat. Obsessed. Will not eat any other fish tacos from here on out. Give Maya a raise, we will be back just for her. Cheers.
