Finger Licking Restaurant

They used to be good... seems like they've gotten too comfortable. They were always rude, it was something you could look past because of the food but the food is not good anymore. Pounded yam Fufu is supposed to be white. It usually is and was all the other times I ordered it... pictured there is white specs in it... the rest is brown....The suya beef had to be a day old. Some of the food tasted spoiled. This use to be my favorite but they will never get money from me again. I also believe if you're not of their ethnicity they really don't want you there anyway. If it seems like their friends are there I wouldn't buy. It's like teenagers, they allow their friends to influence them. The last time I was there she took my food to the back for no reason, when she came back to the front the woman at the register and her friend who was dining started giggling and looking me up and down... The okra soup is good but even that is starting to taste weird... I had to eat it with amala.... not the best combo....... those were the only thing s edible... AND! The meat pies... the meat is sometimes not cooked ... which I can't wrap my head around.

I was warned by my partner that the service would be... uhh.. intense? And it was true. I went with her and her mom (it's their favorite spot) and it sort of felt like her mom and the waitress were grumpily interacting and neither wanted to be there. Anyways, luckily the food is pretty good. I really like my egusi and according to my partner and her mom their erikaikon stew (which seems hard to find) is also very good. The best moment was when i approached the counter to look for the bathroom and was stopped in my tracks by a nearly shouted "what do you want" before i sheepishly said "bathroom" and they said "near the door." fun stuff!

The food is good, although my husband makes better Egusi and Jollof at home(we like it with extraaaa habanero). The service is not that great, depending on who is serving you and if you are Nigerian or not. Also, the restaurant is in need of a MAJOR renovation. I love the wood plank ceilings, reminds me of the islands. It has the potential to look GREAT and appealing. It needs some decor, it's boring inside. I usually go during lunch time when I'm in town, so I don't know if they ultitIze their stage. If so, GREAT... if not, might wanna do that and get maybe some live entertainment because their are so many Africans in the Houston area. Lastly, they should play more and better music. I'm not even Nigerian and I be wondering if they will ever play the many songs that I know. Seems like they play the same ole songs. Hmmmm, a little dancehall wouldn't hurt :)

Hands down the worst African food I have ever had zero flavor I paid over $50 for an Uber eats order and was sadly extremely disappointed.

Food was terrible and plain! She tried to tell me the reason that the chicken was hard and chewy was because it's "chicken end" when really it was just sitting on a food buffet warmer for who knows how long! The rice was plain. Worst jollof rice I've ever had. I called to tell them about the chicken and when she said it's "chicken end" I hung up because obviously she wasn't willing to fix the problem and says "it's not like American chicken". Smh! A waste of $30!!!

I went there and oh my goodness the food was not finger licking I vomited so much when i got home it made no sense. The service and people were so nice and I appreciate the food but no thats nasty. And oh my I'm not even gonna forget about the roach in the room a literal roach omg I'm crying because i paid to east there and I'm so mad wtf were y'all thinking. Im shitting too much too i cant even explain how big my shit turds are this place is nasty i don't recommend at all find a new place i thought i was finna lick my fingers but no that food is nasty nice people and all but nasty food i wouldn't even eat it if i was starving. False advertisement and false name.

Finger licking Back In The Days was the lake today. I don't need ties any African restaurant I suggest you get someone that caters to get your food they fallen off.

The women who greet you are very rude and not helpful. The food was cold and when notified about it nothing was said but you took it outside not our problem. Mind you I had just walked out 2 minutes before. Check your food before you walk out the door because they don't care and won't resolve the issue.
