We came in for a spot of breakfast on a Friday morning since it's a short walk away from our apartment. The cafe itself is really quite lovely and in a nice quiet spot. The food was just ok - I expected a little more from the scrambled eggs (maybe a sprinkle of chives?) but the sourdough was quite nice. The coffee is also just ok.The olive bread that comes with the veggie breakfast is really good. I think overall the food just misses the mark.

Came here for Seattle restaurant week. Pretty standard dare for what I'd expect from a place like this. A single open faced toast (tartine) which was pretty good but also not dissimilar to what I put together for myself at home. I do love a good fall squash though and did like that delicata squash but it could've been sliced a but less thin. The pesto was fine but actually left me craving a more traditional pesto. I did LOVE the pecan bar though. The shortbread was perfect and you really can't go wrong with that sticky sweet pecan topping. Reminds me of the pecan tassies my mom makes.

Good vegan food is definitely possible, but Finch and Pine is one of the reasons people think vegan food is gross. Underseasoned, improperly cooked, and poorly thought out, this food is normally priced for Seattle (read, expensive) and not worth it. I paid $45 before tip, and I didn't eat more than a few bites. I'm glad I have an iron stomach fiancee who can choke down this swill. Totally gross! I guess the pastry and coffee might be worth it, because every other patron opted for those. My mistake. This is just a gripe as I did not eat this, but FFS an open face toast IS NOT A TARTINE. Use actual pastry and then you can call it a tartine. Just should have tipped me off to the quality of meal I'd have here.

Came for breakfast without realizing this was a heavily vegan-focused restaurant, but we wanted to give it a try anyway. It is quite pricey, so I was expecting something quite special, but nothing really stood out. We got the cinnamon roll, which had a nice soft interior, but the exterior was a bit dried out, and the icing lacked the creaminess you expect from a cinnamon roll topping. Salmon tartine was a bit lacking in flavor/finesse. The salmon did not taste very smoky, and the pickles were doing most of the heavy lifting in terms of flavor. Overall, unfortunately would not return.

A small, cozy cafe that my friends and I stumbled upon. Staff was so sweet and atmosphere was great. Food was good but beware of the baked eggs and polenta, I ate (what felt like) a whole pepper and my mouth was on fire for 5 minutes. Home fries were soO good because of the dip it came with, not sure what was in it but it was vegan and SO good. I don't recommend the matcha paradise because it only tasted like pineapple juice and soda water, and the nitro sweet cream was on too sour for my liking. The burnt honey latte was DELISH, hot or cold, I would come back just for that. It had a slight floral note and wasn't too sweet. Honestly perfection! They said everything is dairy free (besides the lattes) and there were a lot of vegan options. Anyways... still thinking about that latte

Too lazy to be as expensive as it is! Pancakes were burnt - would've asked to have them remade but it was takeout and didn't notice until we got home. Just nothing particularly special about the food either - also got the breakfast crepe and it was basically flavorless, no apparent seasoning except the pre-made vegan bacon in it. Would not recommend.

Today was my friend's last day in Seattle and I wanted to treat her to a lovely brunch before her flight. In my research, I came across this place and decided to give it a try. We got there a little after they opened and noticed that a line had already formed but we waited patiently and admired their beautiful interior before ordering. This restaurant takes counter orders before seating which I thought was a cool, unique concept. We ordered the huckleberry pancakes, granola bowl and a matcha latte. A lovely, jolly Fez took our order and showed us to our table. For seating, they have excellent seating outside as well as a cozy interior-- we chose to sit inside. Upon entering we noticed that they seemed short staffed but this did not deter from the quality of service one bit. The staff here was working extremely hard, especially Fez. Despite having to run around between taking orders, serving orders both inside and outside, Fez had the most positive attitude and surely brightened my day. Our food came out shortly after ordering and it was so delicious. I usually never go out of my way to eat brunch because I am usually not satisfied after brunch outings but this place was amazing from start to finish. This meal was absolutely incredible and affordable also! The granola bowl was so creamy, fresh, and perfectly sweetened. The huckleberry pancakes were light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced with huckleberries. This place and the staff that work here truly are gems. I can't wait to tell everyone I know in Seattle about this place and can't wait to return soon :D

Came here for a Sunday brunch and had a delightful time! The food was delicious and beautiful. The lattes were also phenomenal! My only regret was that there aren't a ton of options with protein, so you don't come away very full from most menu items. Next time I'll be ordering the Benedict!

I come here every Saturday morning to relax and treat myself to some food. Some of my favorites include the seasonal pancakes (I've had blueberry and apple so far), the roasted vegetable tartine, and the grilled cheese (omg the grilled CHEESE), and the biscuits. The ingredients are high quality and you really wouldn't know that they are vegan. The coffee is also really nice. I am a big fan of the seasonal sweet potato latte as well as the orange syrup and the cinnamon syrup in a latte or cappuccino.During my visits, including the one I made today, I see and hear some folks coming through and expecting their food to come out as quickly as a Starbucks drive-thru. They belittle the staff and act as though they are the only people in the café. To be clear, this dining experience is casual and relaxed--which means, no, the food is not going to be ready in 5-6 minutes. There are also, like, 3-4 people on the entire staff and a small kitchen, so I'm not sure what people are expecting.Come here to grab a delicious bite and read a good book. The tables are cozy and the atmosphere is exceptionally clean and light, with greenery flanking the space and seat cushions that are nice and plush. The staff will never rush you and they deliver in a way that is pleasant and genuine. Saturdays here have me considering becoming vegan full-time.

Super cute place! We were dropping our daughter back off at her place on Cap Hill and walked down to Finch & Pine for lunch. It's a seat yourself, look at the menu, and then order at the counter kind of place. The food choices looked great! We settled on the BLET, the tartine, 2 tomato soups, a matcha latte, and the seasonal sweet potato latte (both with oat juice). Ordering was easy and the staff is very friendly. Lattes arrived quickly and were delicious. Also not tongue-burning hot like most places. The sweet potato foam and crunchy walnuts were great on top of the sweet potato latte. There is a pleasant wait for dishes - it's a small kitchen and staff. Be patient. The tomato soup was a fast follow and delicious. Entrees didn't take too long and were both great. I opted for sourdough for the tartine and it was a great choice. The BLET was also very good, but I feel that the tartine has the edge today. You can't go wrong either way. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in.
