Filiberto's Mexican Food

Take in mind, I eat at this specific restaurant 3 times a week at least The service and food at this Filiberto's restaurant is amazing!The staff are not only friendly but also attentive and efficient who take care of the drive through and inside customers with no problem. No matter how busy the restaurant gets, the waitstaff ensures that orders are taken promptly and that any requests or queries are handled with a smile. This makes the dining experience very pleasant and keeps me coming back... along with the excellent carne asada tacos :)

One of the worst taco shops I've visited. The emptiness of the drive thru at 6pm on a Thursday should have been a red flag. I pull up, knowing the filbertos name and order a pollo asada burrito and a fish taco. I was told to pull up and I was sticker shocked at the price of $18. I pay, I get the food and pull out. The taco was like $4 and change and the burrito was $13. How was the taco pretty much the same size of the burrito?!?!?!The taco was flaccid, the fish not crispy, watery and somehow it was so wet that water from the cabbage dropped everywhere. The burrito was the smallest burrito I've ever been served for paying full price. The chicken hardly seasoned, the other fillings tasteless. It tastes like it was made for someone with a sodium deficiency or afraid of seasoned food. The worst was the salsa Verde. It was so watered down and tasteless. What a terrible example of filbertos Mexican food. The only reason I give this place a 2 star instead of 1 is because the drive thru was clean.

Ordered the Tj tacos and coke special. Meat was way dry and they didn't include guacamole so it was tough to eat for my liking. Had to douse it in hot sauce to make it palatable. Based on this one experience I probably wouldn't return.

We have been wanting to try this place for sometime. Service was incredible, I think the owner was there. He such a nice guy and extremely kind and attentive. We tried the carne asada fries, birria bowl and pollo asado burito and they were outstanding. The menu was large. The food is delicious. The service above and beyond.

I decided to stop here for some food to share with friends and ordered the carne asada fries and the carnitas fries. I have to say the carnitas fries were great! I loved the toasty pork over fries and covered with cheese. It would be perfect with a dollop of sour cream and a bit more guacamole. Otherwise, the service was friendly and fast!

Filibertos Mexican food is located off Clairemont Mesa BLVD, and I guarantee you can't miss it while driving by due to the colorful design the exterior has. I came through to get a quick bite and fill up my stomach and not break the bank so Carne asada burrito it was. The place offers a drive-through, and it has an ample amount of parking for dine in options. There are plenty of tables and chairs to sit at and enjoy your meal inside. There were a lot of great options to pick from, and they also offer daily specials according to what day it is you come in. After placing my order for the burrito, I took a seat and waited patiently. The burrito was looking beautiful, and the one thing I instantly noticed was the tortilla in how it was perfectly grilled and wrapped. Quick time first bite and wow, the flavors were impeccable! The charred grill marks from the steak instantly hit my mouth, and all the flavors were mingling perfectly! The guacamole was the star of the show in how it was present from the first bite to the last bite. The onions and cilantro played a big part by giving the burrito some flare with the seasoned beef and loose guacamole. I ordered the green and red salsa, and they both complemented the burrito very nicely.Overall, it's a great burrito spot in Clairemont Mesa, and I'll definitely be back when I'm I the area and try something new and different like the cheese enchiladas plate or maybe even catch a daily special.

The food was honestly mid I got the rolled tacos for dinner tonight and it was dry and didn't have any flavor. The service was fine but he didn't really understand much so there was a hard communication going on. The place was fine looking. Idk if I'd go back here cuz it was pretty pricey for food that isn't all that when you could go to any other taco shop and get something with flavor and a lower price or an appropriate price whatever.

Well, I gotta update my review. I ordered a sausage and egg burrito with extra sausage for my husband last week and he said it was good. Today I ordered the same for both of us and it was so good! They had a lot of sausage and I feel that it was worth what I paid. I ordered ahead from Doordash and it was ready when I got there. I appreciate that because my husband was on a short break. We had plenty of time to eat and enjoy.

Note that I am writing this review several months late.This place is on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard located between Sunny Donuts and the motorcycle dealership. It's roughly 3 and a half blocks west of the I-15 bridge. The place has its own lot and a drive thru. If anyone was familiar with this area before, it was a Wendy's location a few years back.The service has generally been good whenever I went. Can't speak for the interior since I used the drive thru. I gave this place a few chances for breakfast burritos. Tried the steak and egg breakfast burrito and the bacon breakfast burrito during my visits. They were okay, but it did taste like it needed seasoning. The salsa seemed watered down compared to other spots. I will probably pay another visit at some point to see if it has changed from last year and write an update.

I all ways look for real Mexican food and this is the place. Don't go any where else. Great drinks
