Fig & Olive is in the Gold Coast area of Chicago. It is on the second floor of a building on E. Oak St. and has a great ambience about it. On a previous visit, I had a seared tuna sandwich, which was exceptional, and my wife had an order of crostini. She loved the crostini and almost ordered it again on our most recent visit.Instead, she got the Little Gem Salad and added shrimp to it. The shrimp were delivered on a separate place and were grilled and spiced perfectly! Both of us enjoyed our cocktails, and the service was very good. They have a great happy hour Monday through Friday, which we will try to make it to in the near future. This is a wonderful and engaging restaurant!

I was excited to try this place to close out a celebratory weekend. I made a reservation and came for Sunday brunch with a large group of friends. The place is two floors, and you need to go up to the second floor to get to the dining area. The inside is very fancy and makes you feel like a basic b when you have brunch here. I got there late but my friends enjoyed the assortment of dips. We also got a mimosa kit for a few of us who wanted to drink, which comes with 3 juices, a bottle of champagne, fruit for garnish. We chose peach, orange, and pomegranate juices, and we got to mix the drinks ourselves. It was enjoyable but expensive. For the main course I got the Mediterranean baked eggs since I'm a big fan of shakshuka. It had a nice texture and flavor, but it was $24! For eggs, tomato, and bread the small portion was definitely underwhelming. I feel like there should have been another side that came with it for that price. I had a bite of my boyfriend's salmon burger, and he definitely made the better decision this day. It was absolutely delicious but heads up it's $29... A few of my friends also said it was underwhelming. The service was great though. The staff are all very kind and friendly. I don't think I'd return.

First time dining at Fig & Olive! Beautiful dining room and bar area, booth seating as well as fun lounge chairs and couches in the middle of the room. Intimate setting but not too much as I would love to come here for a casual glass of wine after work.We ordered the Mediterranean tacos and the steak with a side of fries. Tacos were flavorful, enjoyed the gluten free chickpea tortilla! So soft and tasty. We ordered our steak medium but it was a little rare but still very good! It tasted like flavors were infused to the meat itself, yum. Fries were nice and crispy and the aoili made them even better (nice on the steak as well). Will def come back and recommend to others.

Had the best experience dining here tonight. I was in love with the ambience, the bar is absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing. Our server was very helpful and attentive as well, and the rest of the staff was quick to pour our wine and water. The food was just as incredible as the place. We ordered the riviera crostini trio, the Mediterranean tacos, and the mezze tasting, all with a bottle of Sauvignon blanc. I honestly am so happy with my experience, I plan to come here again very soon and will be highly recommending this to my friends.

Thoroughly enjoyed happy hour here! I love the atmosphere and ambience of Fig & Olive. It was lively and trendy, with good lighting. The Rossellini drink was strong and tasty, and I ended up getting a second round! For the food we got the crostinis and all three were delicious. We also got the tasty croquettes which were heavier and filling. We shared the flatbread and that was also very tasty! Everything was great all around and I left definitely feeling happy!

A very lovely restaurant visually. When we got in, we went to the second floor accidentally and that part of the restaurant is just stunning. Had to call them because we didn't know we were supposed to go up to the third floor. That part of the restaurant is not nearly as nice as the second floor, but it was OK. Joseph, the manager was extremely accommodating and gave us the first round of drinks on the house due to the confusion. We started with the wild mushroom croquettes with black truffle aïoli, and they were delicious. Full of flavor and very crispy. Then I had the Moroccan spiced salmon which was divine. Expertly cooked. He had the Amalfi seafood risotto and wasn't big on it. I enjoyed a few bites of it. It had a really odd spice in it. I couldn't put my finger on, but it was enjoyable for me. They gave us a nice slice of lovely herbed focaccia bread. Gobbled that up. Martini was made well and the wine was nice and chilled. Very cozy corner booth. Jen was our server and she was lovely. My only complaint really is the air-conditioning kept blasting on and off right onto my back. Other than that a really nice experience.

Visited Fig & Olive for dinner and drinks while in Chicago for work. Mediterranean is my absolute favorite! We tried several appetizers include the bruschetta's and hummus dips. Loved everything, except the baba ganoush. I'm sure it was amazing for others, this is just a personal preference. The roasted carrot hummus was so good and a flavor of hummus I've never tried, so pleasantly surprised! The cocktails were amazing and strong :) the bar and restaurant were beautiful and although we weren't seated by the windows, I'm sure there was a nice view! The service was a bit slow with drinks but not too bad. I would definitely visit again!

We went to restaurant week at Fig and Olive and it was so delicious! We sat down and were offered bread to go with our glasses of wine and when I tell you, this bread was the best bread I have ever had. I hope you believe me it was so dense and moist just like a piece of cake, but it was a delicious piece of Rosemary bread. We ordered all four courses of our restaurant week menu meal. Our waiter was fantastic and recommended that we get the prosciutto crostini and the buffalo burrata. Everything was so good. I basically licked the plate clean. I will definitely be coming back here for a happy hour at the bar because the aesthetics of the bar are just fabulous.

Fig & Olive is a beautiful restaurant, with a warm interior and comfy seating. I would note that it's a bit dark. I made a reservation two weeks in advance for a weekday dinner and was surprised by the empty restaurant. So, I can't really say if a reservation is needed at all. However, we were quickly seated and the staff were very friendly. To jump right into food, we ordered the crostinis for appetizer. We decided to try all three options, which wasn't the best idea. The caramelized onion crostini was a lump of cold, caramelized onion on a crostini - refer to photo. It was just too much onion. The onion was way too overpowering and I couldn't taste the goat cheese. The tomato and burrata crostini was much more pleasant: fresh, light, and the perfect amount of pesto. The favorite was definitely the prosciutto and fig crostini - blend of flavors with the cheese and jam and textures with the almonds. I recommend the latter two crostinis and skipping the onion one! Fig and Olive have the BEST fries! It was so fragrant of rosemary and the perfect amount of parmesan and salt for flavor. They were perfectly fried as well. They were generous with the amount of fries! Highly recommend! For the entrees, I had my heart set on the branzino as soon as I saw the menu. And it was absolutely amazing. However, it was small in size for the price. The fennel, potatoes and kale were a nice addition to the branzino. I'm not sure what was in it, but the sauce was delicious. I don't think the branzino alone will be filling, but I would recommend this entree! From the chef's favorites menu, we ordered the Amalfi seafood risotto. We also loved this entree. There was plenty of seafood and risotto in the dish, and on its own can be very filling. The sauce was bold and flavorful. We thought the branzino and risotto paired well. Overall, the food was 10/10 minus the onion crostini. The portion sizes are small for the price, but everything tasted amazing,

Came here for happy hour and we were definitely not disappointed. The bar has these gorgeous trees that are now decorated for Christmas. We were greeted very kindly by the host. The person running the bar was extremely kind and professional. There was a moment that it got a little busy and he made sure to let us know that he'll be right with us in just a few minutes to check-in (this was without us asking him for anything). Food: you can never go wrong with oysters and they gave us decent size ones. The veggie tacos were surprisingly tasty - nothing it'd order again but something that I was pleased to have in the moment. The crostinis were so yummy. There was a, Burrata pesto, caramelized onion, and prosciutto + manchego cheese (listed in order of my most fav to least fav). Overall, this space is not too bad for a happy hour deal!
