OMG, Fia is by far Atlanta's best kept secret. We stumbled upon this restaurant last year after a neighboring restaurant turned my husband around for having on designer skippers, I finished my wine and he secured us a table at Fia. We've dined here 1-2x per month, whether it's pre-thanksgiving, the night before NYE, birthdays, Father's Day, celebrating big or small wins...you name it! I can't lie, the spicy sausage spaghetti is my FAVORITE....but everything on the menu slaps! No one is making fennel and vidalia anion soup! Try the lamb, try the short ribs, try the giant prawn coconut curry, try the faroe island salmon...when you run out of suggestions, invite me and I'll tell you what else you should try! Oh and don't forget to ask for Taylor!

Fia is more than the restaurant located in Buckhead's Burgess Hotel; it celebrates Mediterranean cuisine featuring wood-fire grilled specialties. Fia is open daily for breakfast and dinner. The hotel is located near the intersection of Piedmont and Roswell Roads and is MARTA-accessible via the 5 bus.I love the eclectic yet comfortable vibe of the Burgess Hotel, so I visit the hotel weekly to take in the artwork while working, enjoy a glass of wine, and eat some of the best dishes in Atlanta. The main area feels like home and actually has a library and formal dining room. The bar and restaurant also have a cozy, intimate atmosphere where you feel like you are among friends. I visit regularly, in part because of the kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable staff that work at the Burgess. Their customer service is consistent, whether it is Monday afternoon or Friday evening. The Butternut Squash Soup is so rich, creamy, with the bacon and pecans providing just the right texture. It is literally a warm hug and can be enjoyed on even the hottest day of the year. The Gnocchi stock is delicious. I do not enjoy mushrooms; however, I enjoy the jus. The gnocchi is soft and pillowy. I will note that there is a lot of mushroom in this dish (even if you ask for the minimal). The creaminess of the poached egg in the Jumbo Asparagus balances well with the slight tang of the lemon butter and the saltiness of the parmesan cheese and pork. The asparagus is perfectly crispy. I order this every time I eat at Fia.The Pork Belly is another must-order. The richness of the protein balances some of the creamiest grits in Atlanta. The microgreens are a nice addition, as they cut through the sweetness of the Jack and Coke glaze on the pork belly. The Spicy Pork Sausage Spaghetti is flavorful, and the Calabrian chilis provide a nice kick of spice. I am a Parmesan cheese fan, so I tend to ask to amp up the spice and cheese. The Mr. B. Burger is good, but it was not memorable for the price. I wanted more of the bacon tomato jam, but I appreciated the pickled onions as they provided nice acidity. The fries are tasty with the parmesan shavings and house-made ketchup.specialties

Amazing pork belly. I think about it every night. I also loved the Brussels sprouts and tentacles and the steak was awesome.

The food was delicious, the staff were amazing and the place was very cozy and classy. They will work with your dietary restrictions.m if you have any. The vidalia onion and fennel soup was to die for. I have never had a soup so creamy and flavorful. The hummus is grilled which is different from any kind of hummus you can get. The sweet grilled onion that is mixed with the garbanzo beans make a unique new dish and we loved it!

Sometimes you don't want to give a five-star review, because then I would not be able to get in when I wanted. Fia is one of those restaurants. Fia is located in the lobby of the Burchess Hotel in the Chastain are of Atlanta. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The bar are is nice as well. We had John as our server and he was excellent. This is the second time we went to Fia in a month and we were extremely satisfied with our food. We had Bronzino with Spaghetti. Typical Friday night dish. Finished off with a strawberry shortcake dessert and great wine. This place is a keeper. Hopefully, y'all don't go . Great find, all kidding aside.

I give Fia Restaurant 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. This restaurant lived up to the hype, for the most part. For a nice night out in Buckhead, this place fits the bill. The cuisine is New American and Mediterranean.Fia is pronounced "fee-uh." It's Italian for flickering flame or little fire. The restaurant opened in December 2019 inside the Burgess Hotel, a boutique hotel. The hotel's co-owner and executive chef is named Burges Jokhi. Burgess and Burges. Coincidence? Burges owns the place with his partner, Freny Jokhi. The hotel bar, Mr B Bar, was named after Freny's dad, Keki Bunshah. The Burgess used to be a Wingate by Wyndham. Initially, the Burgess was part of Wyndham's Trademark Collection. Now, it's in Marriott's Tribute Portfolio.Hotel restaurants are notoriously hit or miss. I'm happy to report Fia is one of the best hotel restaurants I've dined at in metro Atlanta and one of the better ones anywhere. Fia was named a Yelp Top 100 US Restaurant in 2022 (#32).Reservations are recommended. It was packed during our Saturday night visit. Those without a reservation either had to sit "outside" at the bar or wait until one of the last seatings of the night. That night, I noticed a walk-in party return to be seated around 9pm. Book your reservation using OpenTable and earn dining points which can be used to redeem restaurant discounts, Amazon gift cards, hotel stays, and more.Free self-parking is available on the sides and back of the hotel. For a hotel of this "caliber," the parking did strike us as a bit sketch at night. And getting from the parking lot to the front of the hotel involved walking onto the driveway and into traffic. Not the safest. The restaurant and hotel are gorgeous. It's a distinct, eclectic mix of both traditional and modern design, decorated with art from different cultures. It sounds gaudy, but they managed to pull it off. The international flair reminds me of The Consulate restaurant in Midtown. Fia's dining room is cozy and offers a variety of tables and seating -- white tablecloth, wood and stone surfaces, booths, banquettes, and armchairs. There's also an outdoor patio.During our dinner visit, the drink menu featured over a dozen cocktails from Mr B Bar plus wine and bottled and canned beer. The food menu had many salads and apps (e.g., Warm Goat Cheese & Tomato Tartlet, Grilled Giant Prawn), a handful of entrees (e.g., Braised Lamb Shank), several woodfired items (e.g., A5 Wagyu Ribeye, Bell & Evans Moroccan Chicken), and large sides. Here's what three of us had:Specialty Cocktails* Coconut Pecan Old Fashioned ($17) - coconut-washed bourbon, spiced pecan demerara, bitters* "Dirty" Martini ($18) - vodka, Italian vermouth, olives* Base Camp ($17) - vodka, rose nectar, grapefruitWines by the Glass* Red / Cabernet ($17) - Katherine, Alexander Valley, CA 2021Salads & Appetizers* Beets & Burrata ($18) - sherry balsamic vinaigrette, basil oil, pickled onion, toasted pistachios* Pan-Seared Potato Gnocchi ($19) - beurre monte, white truffle, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese* Pork Belly ($17) - Jack and Coke glaze, heirloom grits* Charred Octopus ($19) - roasted pepper, artichoke, olives, capers, lemon, olive oil* Grilled Ciabatta ($7) - tomato-rubbed, chimichurriEntree* Pan-Seared New England Scallops ($37) - saffron risotto, artichoke, oven-roasted tomato, basilFrom the Fia Woodfired Grill* 8 oz Center-Cut Filet ($49) - cognac peppercorn sauce* Whole Branzino ($42) - fennel-citrus saladShareable Side* Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($13) - pear gastriqueDessert* Bananas Foster ($15) - vanilla gelatoEverything was excellent, both in taste and presentation. The plating was beautiful. Each dish was a work of art. The attention to detail was evident. The tableware was unique and artistic, some with colorful floral patterns. My favorites dishes were the Pan-Seared Potato Gnocchi, Pork Belly, and Pan-Seared New England Scallops. Between the mushrooms and cheese, the gnocchi dish was packed with umami. Buttery too, but not excessive. And the gnocchi had perfect texture. The quality of the pork belly was terrific. The meat and grits were delicious. The scallops were fresh and plump -- among the best I've had in recent memory. Together with the risotto and veggies, the dish was really tasty. If you like burrata and octopus, I recommend both the Beets & Burrata and Charred Octopus appetizers. They didn't disappoint. The beets were well seasoned. The octopus was tender and flavorful. The Grilled Ciabatta turned out to be a great recommendation from our server. It worked better as a side than an app. The Whole Branzino was well executed and fileted to have barely any bones, which I appreciated -- another wonderful dish. The Bananas Foster wasn't finished tableside, but was still fantastic. The drinks were superb as well. I enjoyed the "Dirty" Martini in particular and I usually don't like martinis. Our server Zoe S was amazing. She was very friendly and attentive.

My experience at Fia last night left much to be desired. I've been eager to try this restaurant ever since I had a business meeting in a conference room at the Burgess Hotel, where Fia is located. The decor is undoubtedly unique and eclectic, creating a vibrant atmosphere that I thoroughly enjoyed. The clientele seemed to be primarily composed of customers in their 50s and up, mostly couples on dates with a few families sprinkled in. While I wanted to love this place, I left feeling underwhelmed, and I doubt I'll return for anything other than cocktails.Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations. While our server was friendly, they seemed more like someone who simply delivered our food rather than a waiter who actively checked on us throughout the meal. Considering the upscale price point and ambiance of the restaurant, I expected a higher level of attentiveness. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The meatballs were tender but overly curry-forward for my taste, leaving a lingering spice on my palate. The prawn was disappointingly overcooked and chewy, although it was accompanied by a refreshing citrus salad. The octopus, prepared sous vide, was surprisingly chewy and overcooked, and the excessive amount of capers on the plate was overwhelming. On a positive note, the scallops were perfectly cooked and paired well with the risotto, and the broccolini side was grilled to perfection and absolutely delicious.Overall, while Fia's ambiance and cocktails may warrant a return visit, the disappointing service and inconsistent food quality make it hard to justify dining there again.

Fia is amazing. Starting with the ambience: from the wood burning stoves in the background to the unique decor that was relaxing and set the tone. Only downside was since it was fairly dark, photos were difficult to capture the food in its best light. Now onto the food, the menu had so many unique appetizers and entrees, that it was hard to choose. So, we didn't. Instead we ordered a number of starters and sides to share. And each picked a different entree so we could try each others too. The best ones: the hummus takes top spot (very unique as it was warm and had "stuff" in it - not exactly sure of the details but it was incredible). Next up - The octopus was very tasty. Those who had the beets and burrata loved it and the tomato tart with warm goat cheese was delicious as well. For short ribs, pork chop and the duck with blackberry sauce and pieces of pear and more (that was my favorite) all got rave reviews. Additionally the service was very good and the meal very well paced. I'd highly recommend Fia and would come back when visiting Atlanta.

Came to Fia for valentines and I enjoyed it! At first I was worried that parking wouldn't be great because it's located in a hotel, but there is plenty of parking for restaurant guests in the back of The Burgess. The restaurant itself is pretty open to the rest of the hotel and I LOVED the decor there, especially the back museum bookstore like room! We sat close to the bar and I definitely will be back there for a night out!We started with a shared Caesar salad and their pork belly and grits app. Although I don't like grits, the pork belly sauce fit perfectly with the grits and it was my fav thing that I had all night! For my main I had the lamb shank and got to try their spaghetti. Both dishes were great, but unfortunately the menu didn't mention cilantro all over the rice of the lamb shank so I had to do a lot of eating around it lol. The meat itself was super tender and the sauce was great. We ended the night with the key lime tart which was pretty good too. Unfortunately the service was awful as it seemed like they were super understaffed, but I decided to not take off a star for that as our waiter was super apologetic and ended up giving us my drink for free. That was a nice gesture, but I would have preferred better service from such a nice establishment in the first place! Hopefully that was just an off day for them, because I'd love to come back for another nice dinner.
