G(or or no go): GO Here for a good time not a long time - should really be their official slogan! Tbh tho, we were there for a long time because the food was phenomenal! If you go at night..be prepared for a LONG line. We went at 6 so we avoided the crowds.W(ow) factor: The iconic bell is a canon west loop experience. Can you really say you know west loop if you haven't hit a bull's eye at Federales?A(ge): party ambiance for sure, lit energy across the boardM(enu):Crispy brussel sprouts boasts some hidden spicy peppers (and I don't joke about spice-it crept up on me and I was not prepared.) Chicken taquitos were perfectly crunchy and savory. They give you 5 but I feeling stuffed after 3.Frosty Mexican bulldog comes in a sKULL and a mini Corona sticking out of its head. Perfect mix of beer and sweet frosty. Kicked off my night phenomenally-highly rec this drinks.Free chips!!Guac was well salted and super filling.

First timer and I can always see it a happening place of a certain age group :-) Good drinks are flowing and lots of happy positive vibes. On a Thursday night very attentive bar service.Didn't try any food but saw yummy finger foods around me. Lots of options for quiet dinner locations nearby, so I will be back.

More like 3.5!!! Federales has been one of the first few bars I visited when I moved to Chicago 7 years back and since then I kept visiting. Def one of my favorites. Even when my out-of-state friends visit, I always take them here. It has really cool music, the crowd is good. The vibe is quite lit. The bar service is super quick. However, my last weekend drinks experience at Federales was a weak pour. My friends and I got our first round of long island iced tea for the 7 of us. LIIT is such a strong, potent drink and one of the signature cocktails which every bartender is expected to know how to make. But the drink that we got was excessively sugary and overly sweet in taste to the point, I couldn't even finish 1/3rd of it. Nowhere close to how LIIT should taste. Couple of my other friends also chose to pass on the drink. $20/drink. Waste of $$. Still we got round of shots. The quirkiest thing about this bar is the ice shots. It's tequila shot in ice glass that you can throw on the bell after done taking the shot. That section of the bar has a bit rustic, country side vibe. I missed my aim this time but I'll be back. However, I don't think I'll ever order drinks (only exception: ice shot) at this place!

We couldn't walk past and not do the ice shot. If you are outside you get drawn to watching and can't help but want to be a participant. We got in and went straight to the bar and got our ice shots. I have to say it was a lot of fun and I hit the bell. I appreciate the fun and casual environment.

My friends and I recently visited Federales Fulton for St. Patty's bar crawl. Since it was St. Patty's, it took us some time to get into the bar which was annoying, but once we were in, we all had a great time! We indulged in their renowned tequila shots served in ice glasses and had a blast attempting to ring the bell with them. The music, vibe and ambiance was great. The drinks are slightly on the expensive side, hence sticking to shots may make more sense. Along with shots, we also had a couple of Moscow Mule drinks and it was good. They have a huge space and it doesn't ever feel too crammed. I have not tried their food, as we usually hit this place for drinks, but will be open to try their food.

My new saying is "When in Doubt Feds It Out". Ever since my gf first brung me it has been a vibe. The staff is super dope as well, if your a regular they will definitely remember you! Even though it's one of the pricier bars, they make up for it with big food portions & strong drinks! Also you absolutely have to try the Taquitos :) you will not regret it!

Cocktails and good vibes onlySunday brunch at Federales?! Sign me up! Started off with their delicious chips and salsa, followed by their breakfast burrito and Flan French toast , and of course we're not going to forget dessert especially when they have Churros ! The Paloma's are also $10 on Sundays and I couldn't ask for a better brunch with the bestie the ambiance is such a fun vibe, everyone who works there is so awesome and sweet and it's definitely a good time with good company! The service is quick and the food came out so fresh, I forgot what it feels like to actually WAIT for my food to cool down to eat when it comes to bar chilling! Definitely 100%%%%%% recommend!

What a great place to hang. Starting at 5pm, this place lights up for happy hour, which features $8 margaritas, my recommendation is the spicy mezcal marg. Conveniently located right next to the CTA, you can even see it go by through the ceiling. Beware of the nachos, even the small size is HUGE! If you need a place to hang and catch up, this place fits the bill to a T. Cheers!

I had a good experience coming here with several co-workers for happy hour. We ordered beer buckets, margaritas, chips with salsa, guacamole, queso blanco, and taquitos. The chips and salsa were solid. Some of the chips were too salty, but they mostly tasted like cool ranch doritos, so addictive. I also think their taquitos and margaritas are good. I recommend asking for the margarita to be rimmed with tajin.Our servers made sure to check on us throughout our night. We were able to readily place subsequent orders whenever drinks and food were running low. I enjoyed their ice shot concept (if you get an ice shot, you can try tossing it at a bell they have inside). It was very lively on a weeknight, and it was a bit loud, but that is expected. Overall, it was a fun experience and atmosphere.
