WOW! The Food is CRAZY crazy CRAZY GOOD! But this is a very small Cuban restaurant with only five tables. The latin music runs a little loud. The owner doesn't speak English. The offerings are very limited and there isn't a public bathroom. They do have a menu posted on the wall and also a pizza menu but I don't know if those things are offered. We walked up to the counter in front of the buffet pans and asked what they were serving today. A younger lady was there that might be the owner's daughter that speaks some English. She lifted the lids on the pans of food and three pans were beef and four pans were pork. She said pick white rice or black beans. I tried the Ropa Vieja (Cuban Beef) with white rice. OMG YUM it was so tender and full of so much delicious flavors. It was really great! My husband also had the Ropa Vieja but added on an oxtail and a garbanzo soup with pork. I tried a little sauce from the oxtail and it was ULTRA amazing! heard that the soup was just as great! They didn't drop a check. We walked up to the register to pay. I don't know the individual pricing but the total for two Ropa Viejas, one oxtail, one soup and one water came to $32.00.This place is located in a rougher part of west Glendale. Your navigation might go a little wonky here and it will bring you to the newer end of the shopping center. This place is located behind the newer part.Crazy GREAT food! but communication can be challenging.

This is one of the best secrets kept in the west valley. The food taste is very good, the condiments used in the Cuban Cuisine is something different to any other food I have tried before, different to Mexican or Puerto Rican, etc.I ordered pork, rice and beans and tostones.Friendly service and good portions of food, I can't wait to come back to try other dishes in the menu!!!

Cuban restaurants are pretty rare in the Valley, so thank goodness for this relatively new one on 67th Avenue near Bethany Home Rd. It's a small cafeteria-style eatery in a strip mall but it should be easy enough to spot, not only because of the convenient location near the Glendale-Phoenix border but also because of the elephant mascot-figure standing outside. Inside you'll find a simple bare-bones dining setup and a counter area displaying some Cuban delicacies such as pastelitos. Although there is a menu poster on the wall, be sure to have them show you the dishes being served that day - there are items under the covered trays that are not listed in the menu poster. I ordered ropa vieja and rabo encendido (a braised oxtail dish); white rice (arroz blanco) was served with the order. Both entrees were over-the-top flavorful! It was one of those dining experiences where you want to keep eating even when you're already full - that's how delicious they were. The two entrees with rice and a can of iced tea cost me 20 bucks flat. If you're looking for a really flavorful meal, this place is a good choice.

Best flan I've ever had in my life. I love the cafeteria style set up. I had rice, beef, fried yucca, and beans and everything was amazing.

First time trying this place, the food is really good! So much flavor and a really good portion! The cortadito was perfect!! The owner was so nice and patiently show us and explain to us the whole menu. Too bad is really far away from home, but we'll be back soon!

This was our first time trying Cuban food, and my sister and I are absolutely hooked. The owner was extremely kind, and took the time to show us all of the menu options of the day. The food was flavorful and satisfying, without leaving you feeling groggy after. 10/10 would recommend!

The food is amazing here. Homemade taste , everything looks fresh and the portions are huge. The staff very kind . It's like a hidden gem in the heart of the city. You will need to go very early in the day, otherwise you won't be able to buy anything, because the food is so delicious that the run out very quickly.
