Fatso's Last Stand

A consistently delicious burger if you're concerned about the sauce, get it on the side. And do not pass out the delicious french fries with the Merks cheddar on the side, again dip it as you want them to be slathered in this delicious cheddar sauce.. They have some good special deals for a double fatso with a drink and a fry. That's actually reasonable to consider. If those are the things you're looking to fill up on and have a complete meal..For the little ones, there was a junior fatso a single paddy. Tonight I opted for the first time for the chart broiled chicken sandwich . And damn I gotta remind myself to get this again. It's so delicious me just like it would be with the fatso with a sauce on it. It's so good. I added bacon to make it even better.If I was in need to get one of their milkshakes, I would because it is pretty damn hot today, but the polite worker at the counter was very nice as I kept adding to my order after already closed order. Keep in mind they do charge if you're using credit card so bring cash if you can .. and enjoy the outdoor patio. And FYI, there is no bathroom.

Hello Fatso's!FINALLY! After a year of living in the Windy City, I finally got my Chicago Hot Dog experience! Fatso's you did not disappoint! Here's the rundown:The staff is NOT HERE TO PLAY! This is no place for making small talk with the cashier! This staff was TOUGH- and it just added to the charm :). I ordered a Chicago dog with a side of fries and fountain drink! My partner ordered the two-dog special (two hot dogs, fries, and a drink). We easily could have just split one order of fries!The food is DELICIOUS! Come hungry! We enjoyed the small patio area where we ate our food and left feeling full and happy! This is the perfect spot to show an out-of-towner looking for a TRUE Chicago experience!Thanks, Fatso's!

Crowded counter, please stand three feet back from the pickup counter section. Seems expensive for burger but inline with other good hamburger stands that will slap an egg on a burger. You can get a single to save money. I just looked at the combo price and at $15.75 it seems high. Depends on how much beef you get. I'm dropping a star for value. The 'Samuel's Double Fatso Extreme' is a good deal with Bacon and an Egg added to the Double with cheese. Burgers served with a grilled onion, lettuce and tomato. Fries and a drink for the special. The outside patio was a pleasant, quiet and clean place to eat. I'll definitely come back during the outside patio season for the double fatso extreme.

Ended my night with a char dog from Fatso's. There's a credit card fee, so make sure to bring some cash. I got my char dog with everything. However, I could've gone without the sport peppers since I removed them after realizing they were really spicy. Loved the celery salt and mustard. Definitely don't need ketchup. The char was nice, but since they split the hot dog, there isn't as much as a satisfying snap when you bite into it.

The wait time for the burger was longer than I'd have liked, especially for being the only current order. I guess that is a non-cost price for fresh cooked food. The outdoor seating area was a nice vibe. The two downsides that lost a star would be the cheese sauce which was too thick and not very tasty, and that the soda machine was over carbonated making it too foamy. Overall though it was a classic burger shack experience. Ohh, also I paid almost thirty bucks for everything in that picture, which is less than bueno.

Got a char dog. Pretty solid food, but I would get a double char dog because the ratio of meat to toppings would be better.

Loved Fatso's char dog. The toppings were all fresh and applied generously. Perfect poppy seed bun holding together the all-beef dog and all the toppings took me to heaven. Heard their burgers are fire too. Next time..

Burger was trash. The fries and deep fried pickles were soggy. Especially the fries not just soggy but under cooked. Never again.

Since these folks do not steam their hot dog, they grill it, it is going to taste a tad different. It still works amazingly well, and this one had all the trimmings to make this hot dog special. Love the little way they make the endings all cute.Prices are a tad on the high side but they serve alcoholic milkshakes! I thought about ordering one but figured to back off. Maybe I will get one of these and a hot dog before I leave this city.The floors were very sticky so points lost for ambiance.Great late night snack food overall.
