Fat Miilk

Sleek, minimalist vibes with coffee price on the bit of the high side, but I love supporting women owned small businesses so here I am!The marketing alongside the vibes is nice but not cozy. There aren't many chairs to work from or even chat with friends with. Definitely more like a grab and go place. However, the coffee itself is DELICIOUS! I am currently craving one as I write this from West Loop so it is a bit far of a drive. I'll definitely stop by whenever i am in the area though!!! Rooting for you Lan Ho! you go girlllll!!

I love a traditional viet coffee so I was excited to try Fat Milk after seeing it on social media.The decor gives a "cool" vibe, but the energy inside doesn't. When I got to the register I told the cashier that it was my first time and I was wondering what I should get...I mentioned that I like a traditional viet coffee and she recommended that I go with that. So I did.I noticed that they filled the cup up with so much ice.The coffee was very strong, but good. It would've been nice to adjust the levels of condensed milk that was added or adjust for sweetness. This drink wasn't very sweet.I wanted to also try the matcha, but probably won't go back. Overpriced, rushed, and not the friendliest or most welcoming employees.

Pretty good Vietnamese iced coffee! I'm such a fiend for Vietnamese iced coffee, and I think they have a good balance of coffee to condensed milk. The interior is so cute and nice--the hundreds of coffee canisters made me laugh. It's really interesting how they dispense the coffee through tap, and it still tastes just as good as if it was freshly brewed. They should consider making more specialty drinks! An ube Viet coffee here would be so bomb.

Based on one visit.This place specializes in Vietnamese coffee using the Phin (tin coffee drip container). The coffee is brewed drip style indirectly: There is a large area with a trough where very large Phins are used to make the coffee by hand. Then the coffee is transported to the counter where it is distributed. See pictures. I make this style of Coffee at the office sometimes. I usually don't use condense ed milk which is the norm. I was skeptical and ordered an iced phin with condensed milk. It was really good. Note that this style of coffee is quite strong. But I love strong coffee.They also have other drinks including brewed coffee, Americanos, Cappuccino's, teas etc. the place has a big city masculine vibe. The seats are not that comfortable at least for me noting I am 5'10. Very friendly service from three people I interacted with.I really felt welcomed. Big plus noting this is just one visit.Definitely worth a try.

Huge fan of Fat Miilk! I've tried their Vietnamese iced coffee and their lattes, and both were incredible. The decor is super cool, but there aren't many spots to sit / hangout. That said, this is one of my fav coffee spots in Uptown!

Visited July 16, 2024.The Iced Vietnamese Traditional Coffee is delicious! Highly recommend this if you like strong coffee. Some places have a lingering aftertaste but Fat Miilk is pretty smooth, not too sweet (with condensed milk), and does the hassle of the dripping process for you! Service was great and had great authentic restaurant recommendations for the area. Ambiance was a clean dark interior.

Overall Thoughts: Fat Miilk exudes sleek, minimalist vibes and features a limited menu specializing in Vietnamese iced coffee. The space is small and seating is limited / not ideal for working, so it's mostly a grab and go spot. The prices are high for small-ish portions, but man the drinks are *strong*-- I was wired all day and night after drinking a 12oz cup of the traditional Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. It's not as sweet as Vietnamese coffee normally is, but I think I prefer it that way. The entire cafe space is super cool in terms of interior decor! The all black with the textures on the wall make it have such a cool feel. This space is definitely a grab and go coffee feel as opposed to a WFH type of cafe. The coffee is DELICIOUS. It's one of my favorites in the city! The ladies who were working there were nice and service was quick. Lan, the owner, is so sweet and extremely friendly! This is 100% worth stopping by at before or after a meal in uptown.

Came here on a Sunday mid morning and it's was pretty busy but our orders came out pretty fast. Modern, artisty aesthetic with plenty of seating. I got the Vietnamese ice coffee. Excellent flavor but I do find that it's pricey for coffee. It comes in a cute cup. Would come here again.

On a mild Sunday afternoon, we stopped by Fat Miilk for a creamy oat milk latte and it was delicious!!! Smooth, flavorful, just a touch of bitterness and lots of ice to keep it cool. It was so good, I grabbed two bags of robusta beans to take with me. The staff were friendly and the whole place had a laid back vibe. Sit at the window and sip while you watch the denizens of North Broadway going about their business. Good stuff. Cheers to Fat Miilk for bringing a Vietnamese coffee shop to Argyle. Once my bags of beans run out, I'll definitely be stopping in again!
