Farmstead Table

I love what Amanda & Erika have done for society. The apple cinnamon French toast was just as delicious as it was 15 days ago. We also tried the chicken sandwich, and the grilled cheese both fabulous! The chicken was super moist and flavorful. The grilled cheese was delicious, but also super rich, and paired nicely with the tomato soup!And I remembered to take pictures this time!

Walked in for early brunch. The team was welcoming and we got seated right away. Soon after, the place got busy with reservations. There is a mix of bench and individual seating. They can rearrange tables to fit a larger party or intimate two person dining.The quiche was delicious, flaky crust, good size, not overwhelming and just right with a side. The salad was okay but wish there was a little more than just summer greens. Maybe some cherry tomatoes or cheese crumbs would have been nice. Shakshoka was good, comes with two eggs and nice vegetable mix.

First overall impression , It looks good ! There is plenty of street parking and it's located In front of a train station the green line . The stop is Newton center . I sat at the bar while awaiting my order. I placed " Grilled Street Corn Tacos ". I had to hustle to a waiter, that kept starring at me without ; so much as a salutation, to be able to place my order . The hostess at the front did not greet , that's uncomfortable. I would say the service is not good . The vibe is uptight and not too friendly . The street tacos, I ordered were delicious and you can taste the freshness . After this terrible experience at least the food was good . I also want to stress I waited about 15 minutes for my order inside and the didn't even offer me a glass of water . I did leave a small tip because I asked them to keep the change because we all must present "grace " above All !

Came here for lunch and parking wasn't too bad, we found street parking. We got seated right away. We ordered a basket of popovers which was delicious with the jam and butter. I also got the freshly squeezed orange juice which was refreshing.5!3 grilled cheese was very thick and the cheese was rich and gooey. Tomatoes soup went well with it. We enjoyed our meal!

Went to Farmstead Table for a work dinner, and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant's small, cozy setting set the perfect tone for our gathering of 15. From the perfectly cooked salmon to the indulgent crème brûlée, every dish showcased exquisite flavor and finesse. The attentive staff made our evening extra special, ensuring we felt welcome and accommodated. The ambience struck a balance between cozy and elegant, creating a memorable atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Newton.

Yummy! I would definitely come back. The vibe is a classy farm-to-table establishment. Service was a bit slow that night because some waitstaff were unfortunately absent for a last second reason, and we felt bad for our waiter who was definitely struggling to handle all the tables. We ordered:1. popovers (yummy - also maybe, wouldn't get this for dinner again because it was served with jam and butter, which didn't make much sense as an app)2. garlic mussels - delicious! served with a few grilled baguette slices, and as usual the mussels had a delicious white wine based sauce hiding beneath the pile of yum3. I had a hangar steak medium rare, which was served with a fresh chimichurri sauce, next to a bed of polenta decorated with a medley of rainbow carrots. I would definitely get this again, delicious meal.Glad to come back another time!

Food is great. Service great. Ambiance was a miss for me. Farmstead table would be 1,000 times better with music. I know the speakers broke, but we probably wouldn't go back because ambiance was weird in the near silence of the evening. Lighting could also be better/warmer. Hoping for these improvements because the place could be really great with an ambiance bump, which is really meaningful in a dining experience.

The food is amazing. I wish I could make this 100/5. The service is excellent. Try the pancakes, the grilled cheese, and the shakshuka. We love the feel of the place and the decorations A LOT. Yummy! So much better than Thistle and Leek.

My husband and I came on an awfully rainy day/night and the restaurant was still busy - a good testament to them! We ordered the calamari, statler chicken and steak frites - all were delicious and well portioned! For dessert we got both the chocolate bread pudding and crème brûlée - also delicious and not a bite left on the plate! Our server was wonderful (Sergio) and it wasn't too loud to have a conversation, nor too quiet to worry people could eavesdrop! The customers were of all ages too - I saw a grandma with her young adult graunddaughter, young couples, older couples, and even a little 5-6 year old having dinner with her family!

Food quality. Has really deteriorated. Service was ok but not special. Ambiance nice enough but a bit tired. We had meals here in previous years Thant were much better.
