Farm Bar - Lakeview

I've been coming to this amazing restaurant and it just "NEVER" disappoints!! The GM-Justin is the most incredible host!! Food is on point every time! Love the indoor and outdoor options!! If I could give it more than 5 Stars I would!! Can't wait to return!!

What a cute place. Reminds me of a restaurant you might find on Cape Cod.We needed a quick bite in the middle of the afternoon. Luckily the brunch menu was still being served.We ordered the Wisconsin Cheese Curds, French Fries and Caesar Salad. Everything was tasty and good size portions, but the Cheese Curds deserved special recognition. They featured a tempura batter unlike other curds I've tried. The warm cheese was oozy soft inside.The only reason this review doesn't feature five-stars is the service we experienced. Not sure if it was our server, the kitchen or a combination of both. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to place an order. The food prep seemed drawn out as well. Our server apologized for the delay and blamed something in the kitchen. Wish we knew what to expect when we were seated.

First off, service was excellent--the staff was super helpful, so kind, really attentive. Great experience. Came here last minute because it was open earlier than most other places in the area. We called and asked about high chairs, and they were so kid-friendly and had us at a table as soon as we walked in. Seriously, would go again just because they're so nice here. Cute space--just dim for brunch. What we got:- Kids chicken tendersPretty standard fair. Not bad. Our kids enjoyed it. But also not special and nothing that sets it apart from anywhere else.- Harissa Shakshuka To be fair, I thought harissa was spicy. When I asked, I was told it wasn't. To me it was. And also this isn't the shakshuka I was imagining, but also this is probably just their own flair on it. It tasted more like chili to me than shakshuka. - BennedictMy husband got this. He enjoyed it, but the poached egg was definitely a hard boil. No rich, runny yolk as you usually expect with a bennedict.

So I have gone here for dinner and now brunch and both are very good. They have a heated patio and we sat outside in February because there was no seating and it was a vibe! We both got the farmers breakfast with the short stack of pancakes to split. Both were very good tasted fresh. I do think they have a limited menu and you're not really able to make any substitutions, but, the food is solid. I think it's just a good neighborhood, place and reliable restaurant for a nice day. Service was efficient and kind!

First time customer. Had reservations for 2 on a Tuesday evening. Nice ambiance. Food was ok - but VERY expensive. I had a garden salad with some grilled chicken added in. $21 before tax, etc. I got a sangria and it was $15! AND...we were asked to leave our table so others could sit at it and moved us to the bar. There's also extra Covid tax added automatically too.

Came for Mother's Day. staff are amazing. I had the chicken crispy skin and moist meat. Nice crispy spetzel. The burgers were huge. Loved the cocktails.

Recommend ordering the Wisconsin pimento sandwich if you are coming for brunch. I enjoyed the flavor and ingredients of the breakfast sammy, and who can say no to a good side of potatoes! I would love to come back in the summer for their outdoor seating. Such a cute neighborhood restaurant!

I'm still thinking about the food at Farm Bar. Everything came out hot, quickly, and at the same time. The Farm Green Salad was very fresh, many vegetables, and not overly dressed. Get the Michigan Harvest Burger if you like goat cheese, the meat was high quality and well cooked. Get any of the burgers, great burger/buns, and perfect fries! Lastly, the bolognese was so flavorful, you get an abundance of meat and it comes with fresh parm, was also hot! Don't skip on the Wolf River Apple Crumble if you are a fruit fan and ice cream fan.For the drinks, the cider sangria was very intense, but big and strong. The Firebird was a great combination of tequila and citrus with a hint of spice. For the gin fans, order the No Pilot's License - a strong and smooth drink. Atmosphere - very intimate, relatively small place with a big bar. Make a reservation because it fills up quick and it's on a quiet street. A great spot in Lakeview.

I recently visited Farm Bar with my cousin, and even without a reservation, our experience was fantastic! We decided to sit at the bar, where the bartender was incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home.My cousin opted for the grilled cheese on tomato soup, and I went with the bone-in crispy pork chop. Both dishes were delicious, but the pork chop truly stole the show. Cooked to perfection, it left a lasting impression on my taste buds.The lack of a reservation didn't pose any issues; instead, it added to the spontaneous and welcoming atmosphere. Farm Bar is a hidden gem with friendly staff and mouthwatering food--I'll definitely be back for that pork chop!

Still our favorite local spot, to the point of our dog pulling towards the patio on walks. :)Service is always great, and the cocktails are really remarkable for a small neighborhood bar spot. I've also been loving their seasonal pastas lately - mushroom stroganoff and the summer veggie pasta!! We will continue to return to try the seasonal specials!!
