Famous Ray's Pizza

This review needs to be updated. The business was sold and the new owners did a good job. Shortly after that, they disappeared and the doors to the business were locked with a chain, which remains to this day. So sad the original Italian owners sold it. I'll always miss the wings the mom made (best ever). But I totally get it when it's time to retire, it's time!

Every time I come so many tables dirty. How long does it take to clean sanitize tables. Notice more people getting lackidazical since Covid over 3years now

Was craving pizza on our road-trip and came across Famous Ray's. Having just visited NY last month, thought I'd give them a try. Let me start by saying, NY pizza isn't what it was 10+ years ago when every corner has great pizza :). I'd compare AZ's version of Famous Ray's to the $0.99 cent pizza ubiquitous in NY today, except it's about $3.50 a slice here. Crust was nice and crispy, which was the best part. Toppings including cheese was very light. Seems like a good option if you need a quick slice or have coupons. Probably not a good choice if you are looking for the best pizza in AZ :)

We've had a lot of 5 star pizzas from Ray's in the past, but all of a sudden the staff is completely different and we got a terrible pizza. There was way too much cheese and it was undercooked to the point that the massive amount of cheese was not even fully melted. The interior might be a little spruced up and the drinks case a little fuller, but the pizza under new management is way worse.

Clean, friendly, and great pizza! Used the restroom While waiting for my pizza it was very clean. Haven't been here in awhile looks like they've had a makeover looks nice.

Under new management. Definitely brighter and more lively in the store. Pizza and spaghetti was still awesome. Will try the wings next time.

If I could rate this negative stars, I would. Last night, I attempted to order pizza and wings from the store I always order from in Anthem using the Slice app. Without any obvious change, my order was placed at the Happy Valley store instead without my knowledge. When I went to pickup my order at the store in Anthem, I found it closed. When I contacted Slice through their chat feature, I was told that they would not refund me the money for the order because they contacted the store and the order had been made and they were not authorizing the refund. The stores pay money to use Slice. That means that they are also paying into the customer service of the app's staff, and the proper functionality of the app. When the app misleads customers, the store owner should do the customer right. As far as I can tell from the messages I got back from Slice, they contacted the store and the store refused to refund my money. I will not be using Slice ever again, and I certainly won't ever buy anything from any Ray's store.

Everything we have had here was really good..we are from NJ and we feel the East Coast NYNJ area is best pizza..Rays on Deer Valley is close to what we love!
