Amazing food, service and atmosphere! Veggie burger (although deconstructed ;)) was amazing! Half-chicken was super good!! Great sports coverage, and good drink selections (wines, bourbons etc.) Was skeptical at first just because the last several restaurants that have been at this location have failed, but so glad we tried it out! We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

We came to this place when we got tired of waiting at another close by restaurant. We had noticed it when we passed it, I thought we'd take a chance since it didn't look like you had to wait. The themeing is really cute, with a retro route 66 theme. There's some neon lighting and lots of vintage signs and fixtures. I really love the two Big Boy statues. Even the booths were upholstered in route 66 fabric. Our server was nice and checked on us often. One thing I like is when the manager stops by the table to make sure everything is fine, in the manager did do that here. Everyone seem to like the food. Two of our party ordered burgers - -One traditional cheeseburger and the other a spicy burger. The fries serve with the burger or seasoned and quite good. One of us order the prime rib sandwich, which was delicious. There was a lot of the shaved beef and the tater tots served with the sandwich were perfectly crispy and yummy. I wasn't very hungry, so I just ordered a half order of hot wings. They only serve the drumettes, and not the flat part of the wings. A half order is five wings and it served with a side of blue cheese or ranch dressing and carrots. The wings are delicious, but I wasn't a fan of the blue cheese dressing. I'm wondering if it came from a bottle. The wings were not saucy at all. It had all the sauce flavor but just didn't have all the wet sauce on it. They were pretty big wings and it was plenty for my dinner.Overall, we enjoyed our food just fine. I will say that the prices are high for this type of "diner" restaurant (i.e. $23.50 for the prime rib sandwich, which is just a French dip sandwich) . You would pay that price at a higher-end, much nicer place like the Arrogant Butcher, Seasons 52, or The Henry.

I don't understand the negative reviews about this place...We went here on a Sunday evening and the service we received from Brandon was great. The restaurant was slow so he was running the whole show. He was super efficient and was on top of things. I ordered the veggie burger and my boyfriend ordered the border bowl. Both meals were really good and the veggie burger was as good as the first time I had it. The fries were, once again, crispy, hot, and seasoned well. They were very good. The burger was fresh and tasted super good. The restaurant was spotless and the music they were playing was classic rock. We sat inside this time so we got a better view of all the old signs and the awesome bar they installed. The only negative thing we experienced was the temperature inside the restaurant was very warm. Not sure if their a/c is broken or what but it was like 80°+ in the restaurant. Brandon did a good job of making sure my water was full but the temperature bordered on uncomfortable.

Stopped in before our 7 pm movie with a little less than an hour (no pressure ofc lol). Ordered an espresso martini. Breana made one of my favorites to date!!!!!! So SO good! Got the fried pickles and chicken southwest bowl?? Me and the hubby shared both. Loved the food! Cute bar area and cool daily specials

I had high hopes for Famous 66. It's owned by the same people who own State 48 Tap House and I had a pretty good experience at that restaurant, so I thought I'd bring the family in for lunch (and some A/C).The ambiance is pretty cool, lots of life sized figurines out front and a nice large dining room. If only the food was as good as the interior design. Our server was Caitlyn, she was fine. Atmosphere & service wasn't the issue. The food actually started pretty strong. The Southwest Eggrolls were pretty good, piping hot and crunchy. I wish there was a creamier sauce on the side instead of salsa. However, our entrees weren't so good. My Mom got the Road Trip Club & I got the American Burger, they were both really mediocre. The fries were really salty and tasted old.The manager was not very helpful when we told him about our sandwiches. He took $5 off the receipt which was like a slap in the face when the meal was almost $60. I won't be back again.

6/22/24: large restaurant w/ plenty of parking, comfortable seating, cool memorabilia covering the walls, pretty extensive menu, and our server (Elahe) was super friendly -- and the gentleman who brought the food was as well. Worth a return trip for sure.Longer version: My prime rib dip was good, but I honestly think the skillet cornbread was the best part of this experience. The cocktails were a bit pricey for the amount we got, but I will say there was no shortage of whiskey in my whiskey slush! Almost too much whiskey for me. I could have made a meal out of the cornbread, it was a pretty good size. The fried pickles could have been thicker slices, but they were breaded well & hot, the chipotle dip was a nice accompaniment.I had not had a prime rip dip sammy in awhile so forgot how few ingredients were on it (if we make it back, I would order something else), but my pals enjoyed their prime rib cut and the sliders. You get a token to hit the Shake Bake "bar", which is where we picked up the make-your-own ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Huge cookies with a large chunk of ice cream in the middle. So huge, I had to do the Oreo thing and eat just the middle (ice cream) and save the cookies for later.I didn't realize until leaving just how huge their patio is, so when I say a large restaurant, double that thanks to the patio. If you have not experienced Famous 66 yet, what's keeping you?

Great servers and try the taco pizza, we also had a kids cheeseburger (it could have a softer bun but with a slider that is hard to find) and asparagus also good!

I am always happy to see a new-to-me restaurant in the neighborhood! The space is huge and decorated with fun signs and kitschy items. We went a little later on a Saturday night. We knew it had just opened, so I always expect a few bumps in the service road. I worried for nothing! We were seated immediately and had quick and friendly service all night. The salads were huge and fresh. We split the Nacho Mama Pizza (Ground Beef | Shredded Lettuce | Pico De Gallo | Taco Sauce | Cheddar Jack Cheese Blend | Crumbled Nacho Cheese Doritos®) and loved every thin crispy bite of this tasty goodness. It is a bit on the pricey side for this level of restaurant, but the service and the food back it up.

Highly recommend the fried pickles I had regular ranch and a friend had the chipotle and both were really good. Serving is huge. Probably closest to a diner you can find in this area. Was surprised that it was quiet last night on a Saturday night. Servers were great and attentive and lots of sports games going on in the TVs. I recommend this restaurant for that good comfort diner kind of vibe.
