Taste: 4.5/5Price: Slightly overpriced Got the 1. Corn Soup and 2. Kewpie Burger that came with Truffle Fries1. Corn Soup was very tasty but also really expensive, ~$12. Although it was good it was somewhat small and not very filling. It includes chicken but ours only had a few tiny pieces. For its price, I would expect something heartier. 2. Burger was good but also small. The patty is disappointingly thin, so would recommend paying the extra $4 for another patty if you're rich. It was pretty light on the other toppings too, so not the most filling entrée. Bun was very good and tasted fresh. Truffle-oil shoestring fries were surprisingly good and crispy, probably the best shoestring fries I've ever had. Overall the food was good but portion size was too small for the price. Getting only one dish might leave you hungry. Glad I tried it.

We tried getting a table on a Saturday, and the wait was over 2.5 hours. Tried again on a Wednesday, and still waited 2 hours. It was worth the wait. Recommend hitting Coupe & Flute a couple blocks down for a champagne flight. With the old school hip hop blaring and ambiant lighting, it feels as if you're invited to hangout with your older brother and his cool friends. Except this time they're cooking up some of the best plates in Seattle. The wine list was impressive, they have Chenin Blancs heading South from France to South Africa. Cocktails in Corona bottles. Tropical notes blended to foreshadow what was to come.Boy did it come. A consonance of staples with Guamanian twists, the kind that leave your plate clean and has you asking for seconds. Words don't do this place justice. But trust me, there's a reason folks are lining up the block.

3.5 stars, but rounded up. I came here with a group of 5 so we tried pretty much every cocktail and a good selection of the item on the menu. Nothing blew our minds. Cocktails came out pretty, and I enjoyed their take on the old fashioned. The other cocktails were average at best.My favorite was the eggplant rice dish and the bulgogi bowl. I ordered a burger without pickles and they brought out one with pickles. The server realized the mistake and asked if we wanted another, so we said yes. We were charged for both. Not a big deal, but the burger was so overhyped that I felt like it was nothing special. The fries were good though! Seafood tostada was decent. I wish the donut hole dessert was a little less doughy and more fluffy. We loved the sauce it came with...suggestion - maybe it should be added into a cocktail.Overall, decent, but overhyped.

Overall, I give familyfriend 3 star rating. The wait was too long. The food was quite tasteful but was overhyped.

BIBA! BIBA! BIBA! I want to keep this my little secret, but the word is OUT!!!familyfriend IS the Vibe Dispensary you didn't know you needed in your life! What can I say about familyfriend that hasn't been already mentioned?! Only open for about 2 months and making waves in the Seattle burger community!!! I have been coming here weekly (if not more often) since the soft opening at the end of November. And I have been a HUGE fan of the owner who has significant and noteworthy ties to the food and drink industry! Let's just say I have followed him and his many connections in the Seattle area from 22 Doors, Liberty, Salare, June Baby, Lucinda, Musang, Tomo, to Loretta's just to name a few! I have been to the familyfriend popups at Saint Bread as well! I really went because of Batchoy - we'll chat about that later. Now let's talk shop! familyfriend is located on Beacon Hill with only street parking available. It's a cute spot with bar seating, 2 large communal tables, and some booths. And consider your self fore-warned - it gets busy and packed, even on weekdays! The menu is small, unique and the dishes are done very well! The owner and some staff have ties to Guam with Filipino roots, and it is reflected throughout the menu with Corn Soup, Kelaguen and Batchoy. So for those who don't know La Paz Batchoy is a noodle soup dish with offal, egg, and topped with chicharon, in simplist terms, but packs a major flavor punch that makes you wonder what else is in that broth - it's a Filipino secret flavor bomb! AND THAT KEWPIE BURGER WITH TRUFFLE FRIES - all caps and it would be in bold if I could! Shut the front door!!! This has my heart - in more ways that one! You just need to try it!Additionally, the elixirs show the owner's vast knowledge of the drink industry! He is a significantly well known mixologist in the Seattle area! His take on the "old ffashund" with honey calamansi - delicious! The Lola - to die for! And, lastly, the staff are awesome and ready to make recommendations - take their word for it, they are in the know as they also have significant ties to the food and drink industry! The hospitality is welcoming and warm-hearted!I highly recommend a visit! Who knows, you just might be sitting next to little ol' moi!

So happy to see a Chamorro restaurant in Seattle! My partner is Chamorro and he loved every single dish that came out. It was very reminiscent of his childhood. The mergroni was delicious, but I definitely preferred the Lola. It was like you were sipping on a slice of paradise. We also got the kewpie burger that was not pictured. It definitely lived up to the hype! It was a great smash burger with lots of flavor. We would go back to the restaurant for the burger alone. It was our first time with a seafood kelaguen. We've had of course chicken and beef kelaguen. However, this seafood kelaguen was amazing! You can definitely taste the lemon that makes a kelaguen dish. The shrimp and octopus was perfectly seasoned and tender. Plus the sauce on the side was a perfect pairing. The tostada, besides a normal soft flour tortilla, gave it the crunch factor that pulled the whole dish together. The corn soup was by far our favorite dish. We didn't think much of it because it's just a side dish at a rosary. However, this corn soup was PAAACCCKEDDD with flavor. We couldn't even pinpoint what seasoning or spices made the corn soup so amazing. The chili oil was a perfect touch as well. We didn't want to say it, but it was definitely the best corn soup we ever had. We were hoping to get the sponge cake, however the doughnuts were on the menu instead. My partner really enjoyed the doughnuts because it was very reminiscent of his childhood. The place is amazing in so many different ways and we love to see the representation for Chamorro food! We definitely will be coming back with our families to try out more dishes. We came in on Super Bowl Sunday and were lucky to snag a spot at the bar. Even though the place was packed, they attended to us very quickly and our food was quick as well. They were constantly checking up on us, which we appreciated. The place felt very homey. It would be great for date night or to watch a game! We did wish that they had a website or instagram because we were unsure whether the place was going to be open. We are definitely going to be inviting our friends and family to enjoy authentic Chamorro food!

Loved this spot, and the people here were so warm and friendly! Everything we had was great from the drinks to the food.I had the coconut lemonade that was such a tasty flavor combination. It is a little on the sweeter side, but still tasty nonetheless (and probably would be good with a shot of rum, haha). The corn soup was so comforting, and I loved the flavor of it and how warming it was. The La Beacon Batchoy (la Paz style) is also super tasty with the fermented shrimp broth. It has pig offal that I personally love, but some other people may not. If you like seafood broths or rich intense flavors, this is for you. My husband got the old fashioned with honey calamansi and the kewpie burger and truffle fries and thoroughly enjoyed it as well.We also got the mango typhoon donuts, and I loved the flavor and texture of them!Overall, I am very happy with everything there, and the pricing is reasonable and comparable to other restaurants in the area and we will be back to try more!

This cool bustling small local spot is the newest rendition of this space. Formerly one of my favorite old bar night haunts _years_ ago (Tippe & Drague), they kept the dark red side exteriors but everything else was revamped & refreshed with a pleasant new slate. Bright yet dim, loud yet cozy, they specialize in Guam-inspired Pacific Rim cuisine. Open floor format, one side focuses on tables and the other a bar. The front can be so cramped when busy that I recommend people entering open the door slowly as sometimes folks are waiting just behind it.Until I manage to squeeze a seat inside, I've been grabbing take-out from dinner rushes. The gals who always greet me were always super friendly & receptive to my vegan option inquiries. With just 2 currently listed (plus available sides of fries: plain and truffle oil), I've tried both of them. Just good grub; the rice bowl takes my tops vs the sope. I wouldn't order them often because coconut milk can be too fatty/rich for me.Wonderful newer neighborhood spot along with Fable next door. If you see people hanging out outside, that's probably the waiting list.

familyfriend was so good and lived up to the hype! I came with three other people at 5:25pm on a Saturday night, and our wait was 1.5 hours. Luckily there are plenty of spots to grab drinks/pre-dinner snacks just down the street (fable, milk drunk) to kill some time. The restaurant itself doesn't have a ton of tables, so I'm sure that's why the wait can get so long. Food was great! We ordered the corn soup, tacos, tostada, burger, vegan rice bowl, and both desserts. Everything was delicious but in particular, the corn soup, burger, and rice bowl were top notch. The burger was a perfect smashburger (we added an extra patty for an additional $4 which was worth it), and the fries were really good too. I'm usually not one for truffle fries, but their fries weren't overseasoned at all. Also, you should definitely order their hot sauces! They were such a great addition to the dishes, and our favorites were the fresno chili and garlic, the pineapple habanero, and ranch (not a hot sauce but still delicious). If I could buy a jar of the fresno chili and garlic hot sauce, I 10000% would.

There is usually a wait here so I recommend going early.Ambience was good, a little cramped in the bar area as the place was a bit small and does its best to accommodate. Food here was a miss for me.Burger was on the smaller side, was good but nothing special. Fries were good, and they gave a good portion.Corn soup was the highlight, sweet and savory. Batchoy was unique, if I were to compare the broth it was similar to wonton soup because of the egg noodles.A bit overpriced given the portions.Overall, an interesting place to try.
