How I heard of this place: We were visiting the Kirkland waterfront and as we consulted about where to go for dinner, a young man approached and recommended this new place up the road. We decided gyros sounded good, so we gave it a try.Type of cuisine: Mediterranean, fast and freshly made to order. Ambiance: More cozy than a fast food establishment, yet still with reminiscenses of a chain or franchise. The decor is thoughtful, but a bit forced. The personalized and warm, friendly service made you easily forget about what might feel off in the setting. Music is tasteful and fun, with mostly an Arab influence in the video monitor above the sitting area. What I ordered: We selected a Chicken Shawarma, 4 pieces of Kibbeh, Greek Fries, Chicken Gyro Salad and Chicken & Beef Platter. Cold beverages were ordered and available to serve yourself in the fridge to the side of the kitchen/serving area. What I loved: The seasoning and spices of the chicken, perfectly balanced and robust with flavor. Why I loved it: Extra friendly service, with kind attention to the children in our group, as well. A very welcoming middle-eastern feel and an easy spot in which to feel at home.Cost: Average to high

tl;dr - good falafels, casual environment, open lateI've been here twice now and the food is quite good. This place is really casual. You order and pay at the counter and if you dine in, you can sit and they will bring your food out. Everyone has been very nice and friendly. It can take a little time to make the food especially if there's a line but it seems like it's because everything is made really fresh to order. I also like how there's a place which opens quite late in downtown Kirkland.I really enjoy the falafels because they're freshly made and not frozen premade ones.you can see them scooping and shaping them before they go into the fryer. I also tried the gyro and it was really packed full of meat and veggies. It was actually large enough for me to split half into another pita for a second meal.

I am not on the Eastside too often but happened to be in Kirkland on a sunny Sunday in March 2024 and had some time to kill... I was walking around downtown and saw Falafel Fresh and decided to check the Yelp reviews. After seeing so many positives ones, I decided to pick up a something to-go. The staff was friendly and when I asked which plate is recommended, the worker told me either the combo plate or the chicken kebab. I didn't want such a large plate so opted for the chicken kebab ($20). I had to wait a little while (totally fine) - it seems like they are preparing a lot of the items fresh, which is great! The meal included a warm pita and some hot sauce and garlic sauce (packaged separately - which was perfect for takeout). I didn't end up eating the food until about 2 hours later and it was still SO tasty. Chicken was juicy and tender and delicious seasoning. The garlic sauce is key! We reheated the pita and it was still soft and pillow-y. The price seemed slightly higher, but the portion was a pretty good size and everything seemed really high quality -- I'll gladly pay more for better quality. Definitely was satisfied with this meal and would stop by again the next time I'm in Kirkland!

We walked by this place recently and knew we had to try it. We had dinner at Falafel Fresh one night this week and we loved it.We got Falafel, Chicken Kebab Plate, Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, and Baklava. The Falafel was amazing, some of the best we have ever had. The Chicken Kebab plate was good, the chicken kebab was delicious, hummus was good. We loved the spicy side that came with the kebab plate. The Chicken Shawarma Sandwich was very good, I loved it and couldn't stop eating it.We finished with baklava, they had pistachio and walnut. We got one of each, and they were both so good, had the right amount of sweetness, and l liked that it was not dripping in sauce. I think the pistachio might win as my favorite.

Dive into the awesomeness of this Mediterranean spot! Seriously, their food is like a flavor fiesta--hummus that's basically a dance party for your taste buds and kebabs and shawarma that are pure happiness. But here's the kicker: the service is as fantastic as the eats. They've got this super friendly vibe that makes you feel like you're hanging out with foodie friends. So, if you're up for a great time with killer Mediterranean food and service that rocks, this place is your jam. This is our second time here and definitely won't be our last. 10/10!!!!! I was so excited over all the food we got that I forgot to take all the photos but here's my chicken shawarma wrap (which I highly recommend). Also, their hot sauce is a must have. :)

Falafel Fresh opened as a small eatery with limited seating on the main corridor of Lake Street in downtown Kirkland. It is an expensive area, and I cheer for any eatery that can survive this high rent area. I don't care if they are small and have simple deco. As long as the food is good, I would be very happy. We phoned in our order and did a pick-up. Service was simple and no-nonsense. The Food:Falafel Plate, $16 - 5 StarsMenu: 8 pieces of falafel, with house salad, hummus, tahini, and pitaThis dish is absolutely perfect for me. It has everything I like. The falafels are tender inside with a nicely fried crisp on the outside. The combo with salad, hummus, tahini makes this a healthy and tasty choice. Beef Shawarma Plate, $20 - 1 StarsMenu: Sliced thin grilled beef, onions, tomatoes, tahini, hummus, rice, house salad and pita breadOh man, my hubby was so disappointed. He said the beef was chewy and the meat tasted stale, every single piece. He hated his dish so much. I am very reluctantly giving this dish one star, because I just can't justify anything higher. It will now be a pain to convince hubby to give them a second chance, but I still want the falafel. Serious bummer!

Lovely Palestinian owned restaurant! We ordered the lamb and the special plates. Everything was sublime and delicious. The hummus was very good, we couldn't get enough of it! The prices are a tad high but I would say definitely worth it as it is quite a lot of food! I would highly recommend this restaurant and we definitely will be back soon!

Food hit the spot! Service is good too. Great walkability downtown Kirkland. Took my food to go before my flight but it's nice inside too. Authentic and traditional. Chicken Shawarma was really good especially with the garlic sauce! They threw in some Baklava for my birthday too!

One liner: delicious food with ~$20 per person. The location is in downtown Kirkland and this restaurant has some delicious Greek/ middle eastern food. I had their falafel plate and the falafels and yogurt sauce were out of this world. The hummus was great too and in fact the salad was the only disappointment because for some reason the veggies didn't have any taste or flavor.. I had the dessert the "birds nest" and that was amazing too. The ambience is super casual and fast dining like. Not much else to note. I deducted a star solely because the service was very lackluster. They could have greeted people or shown at least some interest in serving the customer. It almost felt like we were intruding on their personal time lol.

Stopped here for lunch while I was in Kirkland area for work. Finding a nearby parking is a hassle, but I was determined to try this place after receiving multiple recommendations. It was late afternoon, but the chef was quite busy preparing the food, I reckon the online orders.Waited for around 2-3 minutes for him to be available to order my food. They've got a tempting menu with variety of options - Shawarma, Plates, Salads, Soup, Sides and desserts. Ordered the Chicken Shawarma (combo) and Kefta plate. They don't have a big dining area. Limited seating capacity. The decor of this place is quite nice. Well maintained.Waited for almost 10 minutes for the food to be ready. He packed everything well and handed over. I felt the Shawarma was more of a greek touch than Mediterranean. Loved the flavor and really enjoyed it though. Kefta felt totally different, but in a good way. A different experience from other Mediterranean places. A refreshing experience to be honest.Loved the food and service. It's a $$ place. Should be prepared that it's expensive than most of the other Mediterranean places. But the food is really great that you could spend a little more once in a while. Delightful experience.
