Their brisket appetizer was some of the best brisket I've ever had. The vegetable soup is a little spicy but is very good. Great plantains!

Second time ordering Pepper Soup. First time was in person. They asked this Yankee "how hot" can't remember if I took 50 or 75 %. Today I ordered 100% online. Pepper soup hot as the Sun. So delicious though. Worth the pain.Trying to treat a lingering cold. Hope it works.Interior too dark for me.

Food: I've eaten here a few times and tried different things. The flavor does not miss but the freshness and quality does. Each time I've been I can tell that things ordered have been cooked days ago and reheated. But the suya is always good. Service: The servers are friendly but it takes a while to get the food. Even if you're the only ones there. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. One experience worth noting is when my husband asked for a specific dish, one server told us they were out, she insisted they were out of it. We asked another server and she said they had some but it would take a while to prepare. I can't remember what the dish was but I do remember it tasting a bit spoiled or old so I think the server found some that had been stored and reheated it for us. Ambience: The old place near Austell Farmers Market looked like it may have been a vibe at one point but they have moved to a new location and we usually order takeout so I can't speak too much in this .

I went there on a Friday evening and it was empty at 8 pm. Sat at the bar and ate the Friday special which was reasonable. Ordered rice and stew to go and eguisi soup as well. Got home to find out they gave me two Egusi soup. On top of that, they charged me an 18% service fee because it was 9:15 pm when I closed my tab. The service fee is for Friday night after 9 pm for so called entertainment. And the tv wasn't even on nor was any music playing. Terrible experience and will NEVER go back. I should've gone to Little Lagos instead

The suya and some of the other food I ordered tasted ok but the presentation was awful. The plantain looked & tasted 3 days old. If you want African Finedining please go to Ike's Cafe.

This place was kinda tucked away in the back of a shopping plaza but good thing the letters are bright green and very large so you kinda see it as you drive/pull in.Upon walking in we were told to sit anywhere, the waitress walked up to us looking like "what do you want to order" and we were like we don't have menus lol so she went to get them and we decided pretty quickly on what to get because they had a lunch special for weekends. She was attentive and nice but I would've liked more water, it was a plastic water bottle. We ended up getting the stewed chicken (a little overcooked) but had a good flavor, with jolloff rice it was good. It also came with beans, they are interesting because they were sweet tasting. My dinner companion opted for the greens instead of beans so I could try them. They were good and spicy but had a fishy taste, he said it was from crawfish powder or something. I forgot we also got plantains as well, they were good too. All in all the meal include a lot of food for the price, it was pretty decent.

I ordered to a to go meal from this spot. I had the Efo Egusi and pounder yam. Flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The yam consistency was perfect for handling and the food was freshly prepared. The only downside was that I ordered more than 45 minuted ahead and the food was still not ready when I arrived. It could have been a busy night but I was surprised to still have to wait.

FAD IS HORRIBLE SO STINK N SO NASTY Been trying To find an African restaurant with better Egusi then Ayo African After trying this one I don'think I ever will find one better than Ayo it smelled really really bad even though the taste was not bad it smell like Doodoo And me having a Nigerian boyfriend I know what things are supposed to smell and taste like I told the owner he was very very nice about the situation and told me I could come up and trade it for something else but the smell really turn me off and also I live about 30 minutes away from his restaurant so that is not plausible.. after eating the egusi I feel like my mouth smells like shit‼ I will not ever be coming back to this place and definitely will stay and wait for Ayo to be open on Mondays instead‼ I forgot to mention the POUNDED YAM WAS CLUMPY WELL OVER HALF OF THE FUFU WAS CLUMPY N plantain was almost black as tar and it smelt very weird All in all I ended up throwing half of it in the trash .. I was REALLY hoping to like this spot. I wanted to be "extra" and order some African food while me and the kids watched C2A. My sister told me how good this place was, so I was excited, especially since AYO had nasty comments about them (a dog in the back and a can of Raid out on the counter .) Any who, FAD was a disappointment. The chicken was DRY and the plantains were also DRY and OLD... The food wasn't even hot. That mess seemed like it was just chilling on the counter for like 9 hours. The jollof rice was okay. I also liked the good customer service, too. But they need to get it together on the old and dried out plantains they served me and that dry behind chicken... waste of money and time.
