Ezell's Famous Chicken

$29.17 for an 8 piece? Hmm..had to do a double take on my receipt but I guess that's the prices nowadays? Really halfway decent chicken but it's just too much.

Stopped in for lunch on Thursday about 3pm and ordered a 3 piece with beans and mashed potatoes. What used to be a great place I won't come here again. The chicken was dry and overcooked that even ketchup couldn't make it right and the beans were a bad taste in anyone's mouth and the mashed potato's were even worse. Why??? It was lunchtime. If the food looked bad why serve it? It was the worse experience from a Ezells establishment. 1star only because I had to.

The chicken just lakes flavor. It's just fried to a crisp with no flavor. Way too expensive! Sides weren't that amazing either. Wouldn't go back

This may sound crazy but Ezells chicken strips are best to take on a picnic in a cooler. I have no idea why but they are sooooo good cold and I am not a person who likes cold chicken typically. When we get strips we always order extra so we can eat them cold the next day. The rolls of course are good but I am not a fan of most of the rest of their sides. The fries are typically pretty limp, I will throw them in the air fryer before I eat them. The other sides we have tried but don't like enough to re-order.

The food was very little for the price that I paid. I paid for a pound of chicken tenders and felt jipped from this place. The food was quick but really.

One of my favorite chicken spots. Always filling. Great service. Rarely a mistake on my orders.

Just bought take out. No Okra... or they just didn't want to cook it!Beans: overly sweet... too much Brown SugarMash potatoes: Dehydrated shit!GRAVY: Tasted like it was left over from day before.... Then added water to it to stretch it another day! What a Joke!Chicken: DRY, Overcooked!!!

Stopped in here for lunch and ordered the family meal which had 8 pieces of chicken, 2 sides, and biscuits for around $30+Our food was ready very quickly. Unfortunately, our chicken tasted very bland and was room temperature like it's been sitting under a heat lamp. It wasn't fresh or hot. The mash potatoes weren't bad. Our Mac and cheese was room temperature and coagulated. It was hard to swallow this food without washing it down with a drink.The location was clean. The cashier and staff were friendly.Overall, I'm a big fan of fried chicken. But this was a hard miss. Maybe it was an off day. But from the Luke warm, unseasoned chicken to the semi warm bowl of over boiled cheese noodles, I'm going to have to pass next time.

Ezell's Chicken has gone complete down hill! Rating should actual be less than 1 star. Order a pound 1/2 chicken strips. Chicken strips were rock hard, received pieces of miniature balled up meat that were the size of Cheetos. Basically I ain't makeshift, Cheetos! Simply disgusting! Strips were barely hot, nor did they seem freshly fried. Ezell's is flash frying chicken strips. Strips are only hot for 2 minutes. To receive food that cost this expensive was not worth it. Customers should always receive fresh food! To charge customers .60 cent per sauce and for sauce that is not authenticity made is insane. Hot sauce, that is nothing more than a bottle of Red Hot placed in a plastic cup that should be free. All of this. I will not return and Ezell's will never see another penny of my money.

Haven't been here for years. My wife & I got a 4 pc combo w/ mashed potatoes and BBQ beans. Chicken was horrible! NO TASTE, no flavor or seasoning, mash potatoes the same way. The BBQ neans were good and the biscuits were OK. I will not ever come back here.
