I was here an hour before closing and the line was crazy long. I was here to get some late night ice cream and cake. I like how this place has an overwhelming selection of interesting flavors - it really does live up to its name.I got a slice of blood orange cake, cinnamon latte ice cream, and toasted strawberry buttermilk ice cream. The cake was very good and moist. The strawberry ice cream tasted like a frozen strawberry. It reminded me of the fruit popsicles I had as a kid. The cinnamon latte ice cream didn't have that much of a cinnamon taste - it was mostly like a latte. Interestingly the strawberry ice cream took a lot longer to melt than the cinnamon latte. For the price, this was a good quantity of ice creamOverall I think this is a good place to stop by to satisfy any dessert cravings.

I feel like the main drawing point of this place is the wonderful welcoming interior. It's just really nice inside and seems like a place I'd want to go back with some friends. The service was wonderful, everybody was kind, but the food was nothing to write home about.I went here twice on a Saturday and a Sunday in search of the perfect extraordinary dessert. I went away with a lemon bar, bread pudding, FROISSANT™ Vanilla, Vegan Blackberry Acai scone, Chocolate Strudel. Yes it's a lot of food, and yes I did share. We were all ultimately underwhelmed. The London bar had a wonderful tart flavor, but the bottom was doughy and didn't have any type of bite to it. Maybe it was old? All I know is, it wasn't very good. Which is sad, because I love lemon bars. The vegan blackberry açaiscone was just weird. The berries that were in the scone were probably underripe, and very tart. The glaze on top of the scone was tasty, but the rest of the scone just had a weird texture that wasn't very appealing. The chocolate streusel had a texture problem as well. The chocolate was almost gritty, as if it hadn't been cooked long enough to dissolve the chocolate. Unfortunately, even the chocolate lover in my group wouldn't eat it. I didn't taste the bread pudding, but was told it was very delicious and the price. The FROISSANT™ Vanilla was also a winner. My nieces absolutely devoured them, and said they were very yummy. For the price that I paid, I honestly expected more. This place just was really lacking the "wow factor" that I expected from a place called extraordinary desserts. Again, if I was eating here with friends, this might be a place that I would go, but it's definitely worth buying and taking home. Frankly, there are other places for less money.

Celebrating my birthday and received two birthday cakes at different venues #Shangri-La and #DameChocolat both grifters said they had to call because the website said they were out-of-stock?? I almost didn't get the Shanghai-La but thankful my friend and sister decided to call and pursue. They were both delicious and both continue to be my favorites.

My must go to when in San Diego. I love love their hot chocolate drink even in the heat of summer. The drink is so chocolatey, it's a chocolate lover delight. We came in-between lunch and dinner so there was no wait, the service was quick and efficient. They have ample space to accommodate large parties and it is wheelchair accessible.

This was my 2nd time here. I came here with a couple of friends for dessert after we ate dinner (pasta). The service was pretty good. The dessert was a little too rich for my palate tho. Also, pricey. That's all I gotta say. Thank you!

I had a fantastic experience at Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego. The cake was incredibly rich and thick--definitely worth every bite. The ambiance inside, with its dim lighting, created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. If you're a fan of indulgent desserts and a relaxed vibe, this place is a must-visit!

The name speaks for itself!! Desserts that stand out from the rest! We loved this bakery, full of sweet treats for your heart's desire. Fruity, chocolately, decadent or light. We opted for the Tortamisu and the suggested carrot cake tea. Wow! So good. Can't wait to go back and try Shangri-La.The venue was so modern, chic and luscious. Beautiful plants and flowers. Candle lit tables. All the vibes!
