Evita Argentinian Steakhouse

Health Department should close this place.Talk about a gross place to eat, this is one of the worst in kosher chicago. I'm used to the devon junkholes, but this takes the cake. bugs, filth, etc. No sanitation and the staff shrugged when i brought it to their attention and just said I should go eat somewhere else then. I recommend you avoid at all costs and do like me and call 311 if you experience the same.

This is a great kosher restaurant in Chicago. Really enjoyed the steak and appetizers. The food was great. The service was good and the ambiance was very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

unreal. We had a party at this place so we were upstairs, not in the regular part of the restaurant. I don't know what the prices were because it was a joint effort for the party. All together we had a great experience, the food, the atmosphere, the place was rustic which was just a great look to the place, and the service was great, friendly waiters and great people. go here if you want great food and if you have the money for it!

TOO EXPENSIVE!!!!!! Horrible chicken sandwich or $100+ steak. I wasn't prepared that kind of thing. Service kinda sucked. If you know the owner you're taken care of. We were an after thought. Ambience was that of a small gross nothing place.

Fair warning, parties of "one or more" are automatically charged 20% gratuity. Obviously that's not how that works, because the staff has zero incentive. Predictably, the service was not great. Don't cry for me... We ordered one steak and received another. We got half our drink order, yet - automatic 20% tip. What would cause an Argentinian steakhouse to implement such an unusual rule? Do their regular customers not tip appropriately? Perhaps this isn't actually an Argentinian steakhouse? The steak we received, but did not order, was fantastic. It had a certain sweetness in flavor, possibly from a long marinade or brine, and the kiss of a 1,000+ degree grill. The Opera Cake was amazing.Prices are ludicrously high. Truly the highest price I have ever seen for a steak anywhere in the world, right there on Lincoln Ave near Devon, by that one motel.It was a vexing combination of entitlement and indifference.

If I can recommend one place for the best meat in the greater Chicago area, it's definitely this one. The service is beyond anything I have experienced. The owner and his whole staff were super attentive and always checking up. Combine that with one of the best pieces of steak I've had and it was truly a great experience. Also, highly recommend the bacon dates and the taquitos as starters! And .... Amazing ambiance !!! 100% TOP

Food was absolutely delicious! The staff was helpful in describing any dish we had questions about. It is a BYOB. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

The moment we walked in we see the manager yelling at the staff. We should've known to turn around and go somewhere else. They bring out over priced meat that they probably bought at Peoria Packing. They bring out the food and it is mediocre at best. A lot of the things on the menu were not available. The meat was tough and had a sweetness that was very strange about it. But that's not even the worst part, we were charged twice for our dinner on two different credit cards. We tried disputing it and they forged my signature on the credit card receipt with a name that doesn't correspond to us at the bottom. Steer clear from this place! Horrible people horrible products and just a horrible experience!If you go on there reviews you can see the owner and the way he talks to people that leave a bad review! It's actually sickening that anyone goes here after seeing this.

This was one the the worst steak houses I have ever been to. If you want to get ripped off this is the place. You walk into Evita you immediately notice the smell. A heavy odor of musk and industrial cleaner. The menu they have on OpenTable and other public sites are years out of date. Expect to pay about 40% more than the online prices. The online menu for short rib was $41 but at the store it was over $60. We should have left when we saw the prices but we had ordered a couple of cocktails and we decided to eat there. We had fish and a sandwich and with 3 cocktails our bill was close to $150. My martini cost a $1 more because it was a dirty martini. The drinks were small and not worth the price. Upon receiving the check we find there is a mandatory 20% tip added to the bill. All that for just bland food. Nothing special. Do not eat there. This place was a total rip off. We eat out a couple of times a week and this tops our list for the worst.

Evita Argentinian is an outstanding steakhouse, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I have never had a bad experience there and I'm certain that you won't be disappointed. Bon appétit!
