Good: incredibly delicious and fresh! Amazing portion Ambience: very small cafe with a few sittings, no waiter service. You order and eat. Good is so good that ambience doesn't matter haha

The breakfast bowl was highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. I decided to add bacon, and it was the best decision. I took this delicious bowl to the beach, and it was the perfect idea for a relaxing afternoon.The bowl had a delightful sweetness from the onions and a generous amount of potatoes and avocado, which is always a plus in my book. I will definitely be returning for more!A heads-up if you're planning to eat inside: the space is pretty small and fills up quickly, but overall, it's a fantastic spot. Highly recommended!

I've been to Evette's a few times now, and there food is really good! I think particularly anything that comes with the fries, the pink sauce, and cheese. The pitas are just ok - I would personally go for the bowl. And I honestly think that the halloumi is better than the meat because is that good. During my last visit, I got the steak pita which was good but I'd get the bowl in the future. So much flavor. Things to note is that there is no public bathroom, but they do have several tables inside. During my most recent visit on a nice Saturday at lunch time, the tables were mostly full, but we were able to find a spot.

While exploring Lincoln Park, we stumbled upon a little place that served Mediterranean cuisine. The place was small, with a couple of bar stool tables, but it was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience.We ordered the falafel bowl, which was very good. The falafel was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the accompanying salad and couscous were fresh and flavorful. The staff also recommended the Halloumi taco, which is a cheese taco. While it was not as impressive as the falafel bowl, and much smaller than we expected, it was still a decent taco.

3.5 Solid but not transcendent Lebanese and Mexican mashup. Get your falafel taco on, I guess. Not sure I remember anything beyond that. Really.

This review is for the Evette's in Timeout Market.I've heard a lot about this place in the Chicago foodie scene; yet, I had never made it to their Armitage location. I found myself at Timeout Market this evening and I was pleased to learn that Evette's has a location here in the market. I had a difficult time deciding between the steak and the chicken. Based off of the servers recommendation I went with the chicken, and I'm glad that I did because it was amazing. Not only was this one of the best shawarma plates that I have ever had, but generally speaking this was one of the best plates that I have had in a long time. The combination of flavors and how they all compliment each other is something that really sets this dish aside from so many others. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, moist, and delicious. I was also content with the portion size of not just the chicken, but the plate itself. Some of the vendors at time our market charge meal prices for sample size portions, but that is not the case with Evette's.The chicken shawarma plate was not only delicious, but it was also beautiful. There were a variety of colors to the plate and it was presented in a way that made me stare at it for a few minutes to appreciate it's beauty before rolling my sleeves back and digging in. The server not only helped me decide which protein to go with, but was generally laid back and a pleasure to interact with. I don't think it would be fair to kiddie the ambience in this scenario since it is at the time out market, but in case you didn't know the market is loud, busy, full of diverse people, and is a great representation of life in the city. I've tried almost all of the restaurants at time out market and Evette's is my new favorite choice. If you don't check them out, then you are playing yourself!

TL;DR: Great garlic feta fries and chicken shawarma, Odd couscous spiceWalked in on a Friday at 7:00pm and there were a lot of tables/seat available. To me, this seems more like a lunch vibe since it closes at 8:00pm. The garlic feta fries are delicious and can easily be shared. The Evettes Plate with chicken shawarma is yummy and the salad that comes with it is refreshing since they add in pomegranates in it. However, the couscous is not my favorite cup of tea because the spices remind me of Fall time.

Great service! The meat is cooked perfectly. I got the salad this time around I got the salad. it was really filling and super fresh. Ambiance is super casual. Love hanging out here during the hot summer months!

Met a friend here for a casual lunch. She had falafel, I had a steak pita wrap and we shared the amazing garlic feta fries. Both of our picks were satisfying and filling, and somehow felt healthy (like I didn't hate myself after). The menu was small, which I appreciate because it felt thoughtful and intentional. I definitely need to go back for their brunch menu that is available only on weekends.

Service was fine, food was not. The shawarma was bland and someone forgot to add spices and salt. It needed to be doused with sauce to make it somewhat edible. A waste of 15.00 and totally not worth what I paid. Shocked at the positive reviews. I dont believe online reviews.
