great evergreens with friendly employees and fresh ingredients. I love their warm bowls, especially the new curry one. it is a great place to stop by for lunch during the weekdays, but the line can get a little long during peak lunch hours, so i try to go at 11 AM or 1 PM. the interior is also really cute, especially amidst the normal chaos of 2nd ave and downtown.

I tried Evergreens for the first time today. My first impression is not good. I placed my order online. I arrived after the "ready by" time. My order wasn't on the shelf. I walked up to the counter and advised it was my first time in but before I could get out that I was looking for an online order I was told, "You need to get in line over there!" I finally got my message across and was told, "If it's not on the shelf we're still working on it." Fine. After going through the stack of order tickets they located it, already prepped, on the back counter. Someone threw the lid on and brought it out. I had ordered the digital exclusive Protein Powered which was supposed to have steak and cashews. When I got back to the office I discovered neither of those were in the salad. I called the location and was told to hold. After six minutes I hung up and tried again only to get a busy signal. What I ended up getting was adequate at best.

If there's one snack/meal/"food" that'd I'd never get tired of, it's salad. And for real, this is 2020. If you think salad only consists of spinach, sliced tomatoes and overly oily Italian dressing, you best get out from under that rock you've been living under!This location is pretty darn nice; especially compared to others mainly because it's pleasantly spacious & airy. It's also a short walk from my office. The staff is pretty standard and cordial but not too knowledgeable with some ingredients (or maybe the supplier's packaging just sucks).My go-to is often a hodgepodge custom salad or grain bowl. Sometimes minimal simplicity such as mixed greens, several scoops of chickpeas, some cucumber and my favorite toppings of lemon squeezes + black pepper. Other times a party bowl! Maybe some arugula, brown rice, corn, black peas, red bell peppers, scallions, seasonal item (like apricot), chickpea, tofu and The Toppings. Sage herb is a seasonal item usually leftover at some shops but I wish it was permanent. *FOOD HACK* I take back to my desk and - armed with my spice collection - often add powdered ginger, coriander and fennel to bowl container - reseal & shake! Ahhh, yeah. Goodness.Salad, boom.

I prefer this place to other vegetarian friendly spots in downtown. They have a seasonal salad called The Situation that I really like. It's arugula, romaine, grape tomatoes, mozzarella, bagel chips, and pesto as the base. I have quinoa, olives, pickled onion, and jalapeño added, and replace the dijon balsamic that it's normally paired with with their Greek yogurt dressing. You can add as many additional veggies and fruits as you want at no extra cost!! The whole place is super clean, the bathroom is spotless, and they were playing some of my most favorite pop punk hits from my high school emo glory days (Mayday Parade!!!). Will be a consistent returning customer!

Perfect every time. Never had to wait one minute for food (I preorder through the app). They rotate fruits and veggie options seasonally, and you can customize your order completely. It's great. The app is absolutely fantastic. Great healthy option, super fast, super good. 10/10 every time and I've been going there couple times a week for four years (this specific location, since it opened). Lights out! Stellar!!

THE BEST EVERGREENS! This place gets BUSY, like out the door down the block busy and still everyone that works there is so friendly and professional and so quick! My salad is always great and they are very accommodating to substitutions. Much more generous portions compared to other Evergreens. I love this location!!!

Please come to Chicago, I need this place in my life. We did two make your owns and it was the best thing we've had so far during our trip. We ordered when we walked in and it only took a few minutes. There were loads of pick up orders being grabbed and the pick up station was so neat and organized. Service was incredibly friendly and helpful for us newbies.

I've been a loyal Evergreens patron for years! It has always been my go-to lunch spot whether at work, home, or the airport. Their food isn't healthy in a sad way, but rather I crave their salad bowls constantly (and can feel good about myself afterwards). They got amazing recíbeles but you can customize too!Caul Me Maybe was an amazing savory salad. Strawberry fields salad will always be my favorite (although it's sadly seasonal for the summer menu). Always fresh, delicious, customizable, and efficient!

This is a great place to order in a quick lunch! There are warm and cold options. I wish they would advertise their warm plates more because I didn't know for a long time. I used the app to place the order but my request for no pineapple was not fulfilled. I think this is an issue with the system, not any employee. When I checked my receipt it looked equally confusing to me!I also got their snickerdoodle cookie with low expectations, but I am so surprised at how great it was! It was moist and delicious. When I went in staff was very polite and wanted to help me, without me even asking for anything. Had I noticed the plate had pineapple before I took it home I am confident they are the style of staff who would have remade the whole thing for me. Really really great staff!The main dish was awesome.great portion for the price, and it really does fill you up without making you feel bloated or gross.

Had the Med Over Heels in a group meeting today and it was FANTASTIC! Would choose them again and wish they were open on weekends.
