Nice place, Pike Place Market adjacent so touristy. The ribs were good but I don't prefer the thick bark. It's like a coating of jerky. But was really awesome were the sides. Mashed potatoes with carmalized onion gravy, greens w/ roasted tomatoes, a fantastic biscuit with orange citrus butter. And we had some of the carmelized onion Mac n cheese with pretzel crumbs on top. Would go back.

Great beer and service! Tried out the Octoberfest beer and the hazy IPA. Love some local beer! Chill bar with a good ambience! Will be back!

Idk what was better, the food or the service. The environment was great also, not packed and a vibe most restaurants can't hold to. Highly recommend

I was walking by and ran into this place. Took a second look and say hey why not. Place has a sports bar feel with tv's and a couch. They don't have a big selection of food for a bbq joint. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it wasn't bad. Only gives u a few Jo Jo's so seem like there holding back on them. Overall if I could give it a 3.5 out of 5 I would. If u want a basic bbq place and a decent price... check it out

This place is nice overall, but terribly confusing to this Southerner considering the lack of bbq staples. Most of the menu is not bbq and they do NOT have sweet tea. If you are looking for southern or Midwest-style bbq, this is not the place for you. If you are open to a PNW take on bbq, you might be intrigued. I assumed there'd be more bbq since it's in the name. We tried the smoked salmon entree, buffalo chicken nachos, burnt ends nachos, and brisket bbq plate. Each entree was tasty, but the smoked salmon was really delicious and served atop a non-traditional cornbread pudding. They do not have standard bbq sides (e.g mac and cheese, fried okra, baked beans, or corn bread) and instead have kale and potato jojos. Jojos were unexpected, but awesome. The brisket was moist and tender, but the sides were underwhelming even though they were made well. I also got piece of coconut cream pie for dessert, which was outstanding. There is an excellent and eclectic collection of local beers on tap. The decor is basically mountain west cabin. There are some cozy chairs in a corner. One wall has toile wallpaper featuring Bigfoot. I'd go again for beers in the oversized arm chairs. Will echo the other comments- this is not a full service restaurant. I have mixed feelings about tipping 20% after paying and then having to fetch my own stuff and refills.

I was just walking around Pike Place and decided to stop in at Etta's for a quick bite. It's a fun place with all that PNW charm. They have a simple menu consisting of the BBQ basics, and have their own little fun twist on it. I landed on the brisket nachos and they were pretty tasty. It was definitely big enough to share with a friend. The restaurant is large enough that there's plenty of places to sit and gather. They have a little lounge area, high top family seating, and a cute little bar. It felt very homey, welcoming, and relaxing.Etta's is counter service, and the gal running the joint was doing it all shy of cooking. She was so friendly to everyone that walked in, and was constantly cleaning and dropping food. It was also a plus to sit down to eat! There's a ton of places in Pike Place Market to eat, but not many you can sit down at just take a beat. I'm pretty happy I stopped in. Be sure to walk just a block more and try Etta's BBQ.

Etta's Big Mountain BBQWalking through Pike Place with bags (last day in Seattle and we had already checked out of our hotel). We really just wanted a place to sit down and grab some food and drink. Stumbled upon Etta's Big Mountain BBQ and checked out the menu posted on the outside wall. I was immediately intrigued by the Charred Broccoli, but was turned off by the lack of patrons. Unbeknownst to us, they weren't even open yet. Thankfully, they unlocked their doors 3 minutes early and put all worries at ease.It is a counter service restaurant with multiple beers AND cocktails on tap (they're called Taptails). Since we were getting on a train soon, we didn't order the entire menu per the usj.Charred Broccoli - IN LOVE. It is a lovely plate of charred broccoli pieces, radicchio, and pickled onions on this delightful cheesy sauce.Pretzel - The pretzel we got was a bit over cooked for a soft pretzel. It was supposed to come with toasted shallot mustard, but it could've just been regular fancy brown mustard.Garlic Butter Shrimp - They boyfriend loved the shrimp, but found them to be quite messy. Please note: they are shell on, boiled shrimp. Jojos - BIG AND CRUNCHY. These were really good with the Charred Broccoli cheesy sauce. The malt vinegar aioli tasted like regular mayo. I expected an obvious tang. The TapTails are pretty good. The Negroni I ordered had Dolins Vermouth; not sure of the gin. (I'm going to order another right now.)Overall, I'd totally go back. The restaurant space is comfortable, especially if you have a big party (big tables). The staff were kind and friendly. The prices were good, especially for the area.If you're at Pike Place and just want to sit the heck down with a beer and nibbles, I highly recommend.

Made a reservation for early dinner before a Saturday night Kraken game. we ended up not being super hungry yet, so my husband and I shared the beef brisket dinner. Every part of the plate was delicious. Came with 2 good sized pieces of brisket, small mashed potatoes and gravy, cooked greens and a super yummy biscuit. It was the perfect amount of food to share. Hubby also had to try the coconut cream pie and said it was very good. best brisket I've ever had, we will go back for sure.

I knew better than give Tom Douglas another shot, pro-tip if a chef has 8 restaurants then he's not able to pay attention to any of them. We were at Pike Place Market and gave Etta's a try. Absolutely ridiculous prices for counter service and mediocre quality food. $28 for brisket came with just 3 slices of very well done, falling apart but also dry brisket. For that price, the meal came with very small paper cups filled with 1) beans that would have been better from a can, 2) potato salad that tasted ok, and 3) the weirdest cole slaw I've ever had. $26 for a half rack of ribs with the same small sides is unacceptable. Ribs were dry and had little meat. The chili tasted good but was almost entirely meat, we had to buy a couple of chili bowls from Blazing Onion to mix in with it to make it eatable. My wife loved the wings with the spicy sauce. The staff was the only saving grace, very friendly and helpful (of course it helped that the restaurant was empty on a game day)
