Estrada's Mexican Food

I want to give this place a better review because they're really nice , I think the prices are very fair , I love their hot sauce and I've been eating here a lot lately because my boyfriend lives in the area. Here's why I cannot, every single time I order something that comes with guacamole they don't put it on the order . They even ask me if I want Mexican or American. I say Mexican, of course . I have yet to try it . I also would never recommend ordering their chimichanga. It was more like a wet beef burrito. It was not deep fried and extremely soggy and they forgot the guacamole that makes it if you ask me . They're carne asada fries are delicious and definitely stand out compared to other taco shops in town. I'm really hoping they see this and be more careful putting orders together so I can raise this review.

We had some friends coming over and we wanted something easy for dinner. Becky and I prepared appetizers and side dishes. For our entree we enlisted the help of Estrada's (9630 Carlton Hills Blvd, next toPathways church). We ordered a tray of 12 chicken enchiladas. Bex called in the order around 2:00 for a 4:00 pick up. It was around $50. When I arrived at 4:00 they weren't quite ready which was fine by me, that meant they were fresh. And they were.After about seven minutes or so I was handed a huge tin pan full of fat chicken enchiladas. So fat, in fact, only nine fit in the tin. He had to put three in a Styrofoam clam shell container. I also received a large container of shredded lettuce and another full of shredded cheddar and Monterrey jack cheeses. Along with a grip of different flavor/heat levels of salsas.Easy-peasy. Once home, we tossed them into the oven to keep them warm until it was time to serve.They were fantastic enchiladas. Stuffed with shredded chicken. They were much bigger than the enchiladas you receive if you order a two enchilada plate off of the regular menu.We loved them and our guests loved them as well.

Went to the farmers market in this parking lot and stopped by here. Heard that the meatball soup was popular so we ordered that and fish tacos, chips and guacamole.Didn't realize that they charge a full bag of chips. It came out in a small brown bag. The guacamole wasn't as fresh as I liked. Fiancé said the fish taco was good. It was big. Albondigus was flavorful and meaty. It was a big container not the half size. It came with two flour tortillas, rice, onion and cilantro for you to make your own taco.Although the fish tacos were good, we wouldn't come back for that. We would come back for the meatball soup.

Food is good, however, last night I bit into a beef flauta and had pain shooting through my tooth. Turns out, I bit into a toothpick. I was sharing the flautas with my 3 year old, so I'm glad I was the one to bite into it and not her. But this is the 2nd time this has happened, that's why I'm writing this review. Everything we have ever ordered from here is good. If you call in an order for pick up, add 5 mins onto what they say when it will be ready.

I stopped by for a couple breakfast burritos. They were made quickly, service was prompt, and there was plenty of seating inside. I'm a fan of the habanero salsa with the burritos. I'd say it's a solid spot of you're in the area.

Three stars. Not because the food is bad, but because they are overpriced for what they provide. A Cali burrito is already 10.25$ plus tax, and it only has the meat, cheese, and fries.There are equal or better places that do not skimp on ingredients. I'm surprised they don't charge extra for straws here.

I got the potato taquitos. They were very good and I would get them again. I also had the horchata, if your thirsty get the large....the medium is more like a small.

Quit tasty price was rite . Prices on yelp old prices what they use to be . I would go back very nice people who work there .

Best of the three Estradas in Santee! Love the carne asada, green salsa and Mexican guacamole!

California burrito is terrible, it come with tons a fries and few pieces of meat that's it
