Espresso and Milk

This place has been on my list for a while but I never got to it until I ran across it on the way to my internship. The inside, while small and with no seating, is beautiful with an overall white marble tone. I've been there three times, each time getting a different drink. The rose chai latte was not overly floral as I find with most rose-flavored drinks, the matcha latte was great, and today's honey lavender latte was the perfect blend of the flower and honey. The baristas are very kind and have been willing to answer any questions I had.I'll definitely be back throughout the summer to get my caffeine fix before work and hopefully during my time as a graduate student as well!

I love espresso and milk's bougie take on coffee. This is a small coffee shop in the civic opera building. They have hardly any seating, it's more like a to go coffee shop. The service is fast. The baristas are sweet and nice to talk to for recommendations. The ambience is very modern and chic with only blacks and whites. I tried their limited menu option beverage called root beer espresso. It was very interesting! They mixed in root beer with espresso on ice. I really liked the combination. I love when coffee shops bend the rules around coffee and come up with something exciting.

This is probably one of my top coffee shops in Chicago. This place is on point. While my husband likes a traditional latte, I'm a matcha person & it's hard to find an actual legit matcha latte in Chicago. Yes, there are some places but they aren't using quality matcha or know how to properly prepare it. This place does. Their espresso based & matcha based options are both amazing. They have interesting specials utilizing unique syrups/ingredients all the time that are not your usual basic options, I'm talking cool sh*t. I love that. Just highly recommend. This is one of my personal favorites period. And I love the added eye candy of them being at the bottom of the civic opera building. Just can't go wrong here.

I stopped by this coffee shop on my way from the Union Station. It is a small area with no seating, but it's perfect for getting your caffeine fix while on the go. When we were there, they had 4-5 people working behind the bar, which made for speedy service! I had the mocha with guava which was a new flavor combination to me. I thought it was interesting and enjoyable! The pricing is comparable to other coffeeshops in the area. If you're not looking for a place to sit, this is a good option for coffee!

The place is very clean and the staff were super informative. Our strawberry matcha lattes were delicious, best I've ever had! The strawberry flavor was super strong and paired well with the matcha.

I stopped by this coffee shop on my way to a conference. Although the line was long, I was able to order quickly. I got an iced brown sugar maple latte, and it was amazing! One of the best coffees I've had since I moved to Chicago. 10/10 I recommend it to any coffee lover. I only wish it had more seating but other than that a must-try.

Be sure not to miss this extraordinary place to find coffees and teas along with tasty morsels.... Look on the walls to find rarely available chocolate bars.....quite lovely and a great treasure for someone special. Sam and his staff are there to make this experience warm and inviting. Ro

I had the brown sugar maple iced latte with oat milk. I like my coffee on the sweeter side so I added some more of their house simple syrup and it was perfect. Staff was incredibly sweet and helpful when I was trying to decide what I wanted to try. Would definitely return, 10/10.

Really fast service, great coffee even if a little overpriced. Not a sit-down cafe. Great for run-in and run-out stop on the way to work. Coffee is very flavorful. 4 stars for price.

Amazing quality. Get the cappuccino. The most high end sophisticated coffee shop in Chicago.
