Espi's Sausage & Tocino

I echo many sentiments mentioned by other reviewers. I wish I could head to Espi's for lunch whenever I wanted. Until that day comes, I stalk them from this festival to that. My favorite is the combo plate - chicken skewer, lumpia, and pancit. The chicken skewer is seasoned well with just the right amount of sauce and cooked perfectly. The lumpia rolls are small but rolled tight full of the perfect balance of ingredients. The pancit contains more than one kind of noodle, which I like very much. On most days that I spot Espi's, they have sticky rice balls. For just $1, you get a skewer of three of these lovely gems. Sticky, sweet, and the perfect portable summer snack.Espi's is often my "go to" place to hit up at festivals. They offer a product that I like for a reasonable price that is reliable. Yum!

We love the mixed plate with the pork adobo and pancit. It is one of our favorite food booths and wish we could count on them at more fairs and festivals.

I always get a combo plate from Espi's at the Folklife Fest. and this year I attended the Filipino Festival at Seattle Center in June. Excellent BBQ skewered pork, adobo pork and egg rolls. They also give a generous portion of pancit noodles with chopped veggies in it. All for $7 in 2010. I remember they were only charging $6 and it was the best value out of all the Bite of Seattle booths up to last year. They were also at the ID Street Fair in 2nd weekend of July. You can find more Filipino restaurants on Beacon Hill and Great Wall Mall in Kent.

Espi's has frozen foods at 99 Ranch (on 99 in Edmonds, Great Wall Mall in Kent, other locations) and Uwajimaya, as well as other Asian markets. The big draw for me, over that (though I have bought from the grocery), is their booth at the festivals at Seattle Center! They do other festivals like the Taste of Edmonds (they were there yesterday at the Taste!), as well. I have worked off and on at the Seattle Center for years and haven't missed an opportunity to stop off at their booth when they're there to get a plate! I go at least once each festival, haha! It IS that good! Man, like Ron the Reviewer said, it really would be great if they had a restaurant! They would totally kill! I can't wait for the end of this month for Bumbershoot! They'll be back!

Love Espi's!!! Their catering is the best! Ordered a bunch of BBQ and our guests LOVED it! :) All of their food is really good! This is a MUST!

Glad to have found Espi's at the Pagdiriwang Phillipine Festival. Espi's is a food stand that serves up Filipino favorites, with combos - all less than nine bucks! I got the combo with chicken adobo, lumpia and pancit, and added a side of a BBQ chicken skewer. The combo itself was eight bucks and the skewer was an additional three bucks, which was a bargain! And the food was yummy, too! Although there wasn't a lot of the egg noodles, the pancit was a combination of bihon and canton styles! Usually, I always see bihon pancit served at Filipino joints, but my favorite has always been the canton since I was a kid (and still remember eating it every year on my birthday for good luck!), so really liked that they did a mix of the noodles. The chicken adobo was solid, as it was tender, but wish it just had a tad more vinegar and soy sauce flavor that you just love with adobo. Lumpia was A-O-K, as it was slightly overfried. But the BBQ chicken skewer was by far, my favorite item. It had crispy edges from the grill, yet was so juicy and tender. It's what you hope BBQ chicken will be, and enjoyed the somewhat-sweet marinade. You can even watch the cooks grilling and flipping over the several skewers right by the stand, tempting all those passing by with the aroma. Get some!There was a long line during the festival, but it went by very fast. Staff was super friendly and even though when I got to the line I was still undecided about which combo I was gonna order, they were patient with me despite the long line forming. Just remember to bring cash here, as they didn't accept cards.

This is a local based company that specializes in Filipino products like longanisa (sausage), cured pork (tocino) and egg rolls (lumpia) that can be found in the freezer section of Asian grocery stores like Uwajimaya. I'm really a big fan of their longanisa for its savory sweetness (it's packaged in pineapple juice) and the fact that it makes for a quick meal with just a bowl of rice! I really wish these guys would open a restaurant because I really enjoy their food. They can be found at local community fairs around the sound like the Taste of Tacoma, Taste of Edmonds and the U-District Street Fair. I try to catch them when they are at the Seattle Center for the Pagdiriwang Festival (Philippine Independence) and Bite of Seattle.I try to schedule my lunches for the whole weekend they are at the Seattle Center to indulge in one of many combo meals that include pancit, lumpia, rice and one of the following: chicken or pork skewers, pork or chicken adobo. Combos are super cheap at $6 and you will get more than healthy portion! You can also order longanisa and tocino on the side. Once you are finished with your meal, you can also load up on other Filipino dessert favorites like: turon (fried banana fritter - looks like a lumpia), mango lemonade and halo halo (shaved ice with condensed milk and various fruit and sweet beans).Wow, this is my 100th review and it feels great to get this milestone! I ADORE their BBQ pork skewers. I visit them every time I am at Folklife or Bite of Seattle. I went to the Bite of Seattle today and wandered around for almost an hour looking for their booth...I couldn't find it and I was SO disappointed! They are the main reason I'm interested in going.I promise to buy more food from you next time, Espi's! Please don't stop being a part of my Seattle summer to-do list!
