Back at it again and the sushi is just as delicious as the first time! A new favorite emerges- Lady Diana is 10/10! Excellent texture and flavor. Ask for a side of serrano peppers for a little spice and razzle dazzle! Yum!!The ceviche salad is refreshing, perfect for a warm/hot day and packed with a freshness that I truly appreciated. I think crunchy wonton would be a nice complement for scooping! Lumpia rolls?? Yes please. These tiny morsels are perfectly crunchy and soft middle! There's a vinegar sauce and a sweet sauce mix for that perfect sweet & savory! Forest Park is another favorite! I just love the freshness and the spicy! I could stand spicier honestly-- habenero peppers would be the perfect heat! The madhouse came in solid third for me, full of character and crunch! I quite enjoyed everything I had today! The service was great as always, the ladies are kind and make solid recommendations! It's a really nice looking spot with good music, I don't understand why this place isn't packed!

The signature sushi rolls and pork belly buns never miss. Service varies from time to time, but the ambience 10/10.

Our first actual Chicago Restaurant Week experience was at Enso Sushi & Bar! I can't believe we've spent ten years in the city and not participated in a restaurant week... but better late than never right?!Enso was such a great place to kick off our #CRW experience! The variety of items included in the dinner menu combined with the normal portion sizes made it a real treat! You get to choose a starter (we recommend the spicy miso soup), 4 dishes and a dessert per person! For our mains we chose (in order of our favorites, not as ):- surf & turf roll (the premium beef hit!!)- beef teriyaki with rice (was not expecting this to be in the top 3 lowkey)- sashimi sample (Akami, hamachi, salmon) - pork belly buns- takoyaki- garfiled maki- duo-seafood maki- tonkotsu ramenWe got both the green tea cheese cake and chocolate mochi ice cream for dessert My favorite part of restaurant week is definitely being able to try sooo many different menu items all in the same visit!! It really gives you a good understanding of whether you enjoy a restaurant and would return. Service was quick and friendly and the interior has a cool aesthetic!

This is not a vegetarian friendly restaurant! None of their flooded or noodles can be made vegetarian because everything is mixed in fish sauce. I was told I can get Yakisoba noodles made with only soy sauce. So I decided to order the Veggie dragon sushi and veggie gyoza. The person I went either ordered the Godzilla. At this point I have explained to my server I am vegetarian multiple times. They sent out sushi order together on one plate. Never in my sushi eating experience has a restaurant even put a vegetarian roll and a non veg together. They took it back to separate it and moved the non veg roll to another plate a drizzled spicy mayo in that section to cover it up. WHAT THE F***! The gyoza was also bland. Skip the $11 5 piece gyoza go to your nearest Trader Joe's and pick up the veggie gyoza for 1/3rd of the cost and you will get more. I am completely disgusted by the experience here and would not recommend to anyone. I didn't even eat my roll at this point..

Went to Enso for my first time last evening and it surely will not be my last! When you walk in, you will be delightfully surprised by the interior - very cool paintings on the walls and ceilings along with upbeat music. I started off with cucumber maki which was some of the best I've had to date! Then I ordered the vegetable Pad Thai which was also some of the best I've ever had. Along with the food being divine, our server (wish I grabbed her name) was an absolute gem of a human and wish I could be served by her every time we go out to eat. Enso is a hidden gem and you will not want to miss out on it! Highly recommend

Atmosphere 2.75 nice and reserved. Drinks 3-3.5; price $$-$$$; service... maybe it depends on the night our waitresses appeared slightly oblivious at times but they were kind. Food: fresh, good flavor, taste. Drink: zesty rita...a little sweet but great taste. Lumpia: excellent and nice crunch. Miso soup.. good flavor. I was scared it was going to be bland but it wasn't. Rolls: fresh, perfect flavor, crunchy lobster roll, crazy 8, soul of fire, and fire dragon was nice. Duck breast bun was nice with a little crunch and perfect zest. Chill atmosphere that wasn't too loud where you can hear your thoughts. Parking is pay box on street and challenged. Busy neighborhood with many activities. I would return.

Certainly there's a lot of sushi places around here. Enso is another, and it's among the good ones. It's surprisingly affordable, maybe because it's not that large of portions. About the only complaint is it's not exactly that much food. The sushi is fresh though. After looking around for a place to get sushi, we chose to come here. It's conveniently close to the Damen Blue Line. This place has a cool vibe. Kind of quiet. The prices aren't that bad, especially for around here where it's hipster stuff. It's about $6 for a basic roll. We got a few of these. Best one was the Avocado Roll. It was good in spite of being simple. An example of how good food doesn't need to be elaborate. The rolls were as fresh as food gets. For sure it's pretty easy to find sushi around here but it's harder to find it fresh and cheap. It's possible to get both here. There's also more on the menu such as gyoza, ramen, and other good Asian stuff.
