Cozy and romantic atmosphere, they bring lights down in the evening, music is nice and the volume is perfect so you don't need to yell at each other! The food was awesome, as a pasta lover I appreciate good aldente pasta and when it comes with champagne sauce and smoked salmon and capers.. was easy choice! Bruschetta flight is an excellent idea so you can pick and choose what you - worth trying! We liked the Italian wine selection - complimented our dinner perfectly! We will be back to try the fire wood pizza next! The service was quick and friendly

I found this place as highly rated authentic Roman Italian food and have to say I wasn't disappointed! We got arancini special of the day and a flight of bruschetta with napoli, roma and calabrese. Arancini was one of the best I have had and was perfectly crispy! The flight was very flavorful and had the freshest ingredients. The house bread was super soft from the bakery and we were in love with it! For our main entrees, we got the spaghetti nonna giovanna and lasagna. The spaghetti was uniquely flavorful and one of a kind vegetarian pasta. Overall, authentic food, great service and casual rustic ambience made our day!

The definition of a mom-and-pop establishment! Would highly recommend getting yourself a reservation during the colder months as the main indoor dining area is very intimate and was nearly full on a weeknight. We snagged a rez and we got the last empty table. The server was very attentive and was quick to elaborate on any questions we had on the menu. After noticing us showing interest in some of the spicy entree items, she offered un-prompted that any item could be made spicier according to our tastes. We ordered the fried calamari, a pizza with giardiniera and sausage to share, penne in a spicy marinara again with sausage and finally gnocchi with slow-cooked pork. All of the food came out in a reasonable time and was very fresh. The calamari was tender and not chewy in the slightest, and pizza was a delicious, thick pan pizza. Spice lovers will absolutely enjoy the spicy penne and the homemade gnocchi were little pillows of heaven!Enoteca Roma is certainly going to be one of our new go-to's when we're itching for Italian!

A cute spot with a nice range of Italian offerings. I had the orecchiette barese, which was good but not great. My friends ordered tortellini and polenta, and both liked their food as well but didn't think it was great. We all ended the dinner agreeing that the food was good but definitely not worth the steep prices. The service was great and the server answered all of our questions. Lastly, the back patio was so cute but a rat ran by at least 10 times and we were scared to put our feet on the ground.

I times 3! INCREDIBLE, INDESCRIBLE ITALIAN (but I'll try)!Self described foodie here. Grew up loving Cafe Lucci in Glenview and last great Italian meal was at RPM Italian. Lettuce always has a good product IMO.Came here for an early dinner because we were going to a show at the Salt Shed (awesome venue). My friend is a big friend of mussels and they have it listed as a specialty on their menu. But, alas. No mussels tonight. It was suggested that they could use baby clams instead. Holy cow! This appetizer was amazing. The clams were great and the broth with the tomatoes and garlic was to die for. I could swim in this broth it was so pleasant! We could have ordered a bunch more bread and dipped in the broth and left completely satisfied, but we were here to dine!Course 2 was the bruschetta flight. Fantastic. Enough said.Course 3, we split the Colossea salad. Each ingredient complimented the other! Plus, you can't forget the greens. We're trying to be healthy here!Main course, I had to try the venison bolognese. My friend agreed. So, we split a small order of that AND the polo al limone e rosmarino. Both of these were great! The pasta was perfectly cooked and I loved the bolognese. The chicken came with two breasts and the potatoes and spinach were fantastic accompaniments. We had dessert, too. But, I think I've said enough. Will definitely eat here again!

This was my first time at this restaurant. We arrived with a reservation, we stood outside by the hostess podium for what felt like 10mins, waiting ... waiting for the other girl to take us inside to a restaurant that had 5 people total in the inside area. Than we waited & waited... the bartender said let me give you some water. Finally the waiter came, took our drink and appetizer order and guess what, more waiting!! Service was horrible! No bread to the table which most Italian restaurants bring as soon as you sit down. I had the penne cervo which was good but nothing to write home about. The inside restaurant was very warm, barely any air conditioning. Disappointing, doubt I'll ever go back with all the great Italian restaurants in Chicago.

The cheese board with the burrata was $19~ it was so small, and came with 3 slivers of apple slice. Calamari was huge, but lack luster. The veal Marsala was upsetting, and so bland. Barely any bread for an Italian restaurant. Items were not worth the price. Noticed service for other tables fluctuated and didn't seem to flow. For instance, one table placed an order ahead of us, and my party received our drinks then appetizers first. These dudes were waiting like 15 minutes for their first round of drinks and appetizer. Coursing, I guess, was weird. No music or candle lights, sorta lacking in the ambiance department.
