Emory's On Silver Lake

It had been several years since I had been in and the menu has changed a lot since then. There are now very limited vegetarian menu options and they have much more of a bar beverage menu than food, but the food they do offer is high quality and tasty. The service is friendly, but they don't tend to check in on you often, or very sincerely when they do actually check (asking over their shoulder as they walk past the table and round the corner to go get something). The ambiance is very nice, upscale, and boat house themed, and they also have covered and heated outdoor seating options. This place is great for a later lunch or dinner if you're a meat/seafood eater and are comfortable with the prices.

Food was extremely disappointing considering the price. I ordered a dish that came with halibut and copper river sockeye salmon. It looked like a TV dinner and tasted even worse. Both filets looked and tasted they were previously frozen and heated in a microwave- chewy, dry, flavorless. Service staff was uninterested and didn't match the ambiance and pricing of the menu. When you're charging $50-60 for an entree, top tier service is expected.

This was my second time at Emory's and it was just as great as the first time. The restaurant is decorated so cute for the holidays. We got to sit outside in the enclosed/heated patio by the fireplace and it was the perfect temperature and so cozy. This really added to the ambiance. We ate our hearts out and it was all so tasty. For drinks, we got the peppermint martini and double chocolate martini from the holiday menu. I definitely preferred the chocolate martini. The peppermint martini was good but I feel like it was missing chocolate. That would've made it perfect. For appetizers, we ordered the flatbread bruschetta and the brie. Both were really good. For the salad, I ordered the hearts of romaine. I wasn't expecting the salad to come out this way - I do appreciate the presentation but I like when my salad is evenly coated with dressing so that was a slight miss - otherwise tasty. For dinner, I got the meatloaf and it was so good. Every bite with the mashed potatoes and broccolini and meatloaf was just so cozy and delicious. Comfort food at its finest. For dessert, we got the chocolate mousse, apple pie thing, and a peppermint sundae. All were great. Overall, it was a tasty night and I am still thinking about the food a week later.

We came here for the all you can eat crab night and it was really fresh, The crab was great. I appreciated you could have it cold or hott, served with lemon and hott butter. They also have a great chocolate martini and their spicy bloody Mary's are great. Got the shaking beef appetizer? I think that was my favorite part. Steak was cooked great in a yummy sweet savory sauce. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 stars is because the service wasn't the best I have to say, like our waitress just seemed to be missing a lot of the time, but when she was around she was really nice!

The service was good and the steak was ok. My drink was good and big fireplace sets off the dinner. We live close, so we'll be back.

We came here for dinner the other night when my parents were in town. We had never been before and decided to give it a try. The restaurant was beautiful and the view was gorgeous. We got there around 5:15 and were seated immediately. I definitely recommend making a reservation if you don't get here early because the place got really busy as the night went on. They have a great deal for early dinner with 3 courses for $28. I got this along with my parents while my husband ordered from the regular menu. We got bread to start which was a tasty sourdough and a delicious garlic oil to dip it in to. I got the shrimp cocktail and the Caesar salad to start (it was $5 extra for an additional appetizer). The Caesar was tasty and a good size. The shrimp cocktail wasn't my favorite as the shrimp was just lightly tossed in cocktail sauce and I prefer it on the side to dip the shrimp in to. For my entree I got the garlic crab which came with a cluster of crab legs, potatoes and corn. The crab and potatoes didn't have much flavor but the crab seemed fresh. I ended up dipping it in the garlic oil from the bread which made it delicious. The corn was too greasy so I didn't eat much of it. For dessert I got the chocolate mousse which was tasty. My parents got the cod and shrimp scampi which they both enjoyed. My husband got the duck which he really liked and the apple pie for dessert which was delicious. Service was quick and friendly.

I've been going to Emory's with my family ever since I was younger and this was my first time at Emory's after a long time. The interior is almost the same as I remembered and the view is still beautiful that overlooks Silver Lake. The food is still as good as I remembered. I ordered the steak with crab on top with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Price was $32 which is pretty good for steak and crab. Complimentary bread was soft and warm served with olive oil. They only do happy hour at the bar though which is kind of a bummer because they have great happy hour menu.

Where to start. 1) Antontys has ruined this place. 2) 8 people working floor. All the customers are covered by one person. They won't let people sit where they want. Bar or outside. Food is same. Drink have got really small!!

Food is okay drinks goodI usually go for happy hour as their regular prices are little highBut what makes this place is the location on the lake and the staff and service are very attentive The only thing I don't like is that they charge you a kitchen fee on your bill.

We have gone to Emory's many times and never had a bad experience so holding a catering event there was a no brainer. From the management, to kitchen staff, to service, everything was exceptional. Scott and crew, I can't thank you enough.
