Emmy Squared Pizza - East Nashville

Like a few other reviews, this one is a mixed bag. The pizza is really good. The quality of the ingredients and overall taste is excellent. It is a particular style of pizza - square slices, thicker crust, crispy edges. Not for everyone, but one of the better pizzas in Nashville. Ordered online. Appreciated we could order direct from them (not go through a third party), settle the check as a guest, meaning, only giving the information needed, and didn't feel overburdened or was being mined for marketing data. Got there well before the quoted pick up time, and the staff was great, friendly, felt like they were genuinely empathetic about the pizza not being ready when I walked in. Still the pizza was ready to go 15 minutes before the quoted time. So overall speed and service A+. This would be 5 stars, except for value. While, I'm more than willing to pay a tidy premium for excellent food, and great service, a $26++ price tag for six 3x3 slices is a bit a pricy. The pizza is personal pizza size, or about the size of a NY style slice, only a rectangle. Extrapolate and do the math, their pizza costs a little over $60 per square foot. 5 times more per square foot than marble tile for the bathroom. And I wouldn't pay that for marble either- and the enjoyment lasts longer. Do I like the pizza? Yes. Is there value in their unique pizza, ingredients, taste, friendly service? Yes. Are they riding the Nashville wave of ridiculous pricing? Yes. Can I justify the expense? Probably not.

What a fun pizza spot! Detroit-style crust is my absolute favorite, and I was looking forward to checking out Emmy Squared after driving by several times and admiring their unique logo. I ordered dinner for takeout on a Friday evening. Pick-up was easy once I found a place to park. This is a very busy area of East Nashville, especially on a Friday night. I recommend parking back behind The Treehouse if you can't find any spots in the lot outside the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is cool - dimly lit with a modern, upscale vibe. My food wasn't quite ready when I arrived - but I don't mind waiting a few minutes when it's fresh out of the oven. The staff was friendly, and I appreciate that they have a designated seating area for to-go orders. I couldn't resist their delicious sounding Brussels Sprouts salad, and I can confirm that it's a great way to kick off your meal. For pizzas, I went with the Colony and the Big Ang, both of which were tasty. Emmy Squared definitely knows how to rock a crispy crust. I will say that the prices are a bit expensive per pizza for smaller size pies ... but sometimes that's just part of living in Nashville. Either way - it's great to have an awesome pizza spot so close by! I'll definitely keep Emmy Squared in mind the next time I'm craving Detroit-style pizza.

I come here for the amazing Caesar salad and eat scrape the bowl EVERY time and I always share a pizza with a friend. The Atmosphere is lovely, being able to see out of the long windows to the beautiful East Nashville. Service is okay.. they're never overly friendly or welcoming & as a native I honestly can't stand it but the salad always keeps me coming back. (:

Another great meal at Emmy squared. Couldn't believe I hadn't reviewed this cute spot yet after we've eaten here so many times! Went for a birthday lunch for one of my coworkers. I love that they let you do half half for custom pizzas. To start we got the cheesy bread with yummy pesto, wings and mozzarella sticks. All were delicious. For entrees, we ordered the Angel, MVP, Ang, 1 custom pizza (half pepperoni, half caprese) and 1 burger. Only thing I wish they had better parking options ($14 for an hour of parking is a bit high)

I've taken a few visitors to Emmy Squared and have had mostly great experiences here. The loaded fries are crazy and so delicious, that cheese sauce is to die for! The thick, fluffy crust on the Detroit style pizza never misses, and my gluten free friends were very happy to have gf options as well. I have a gripe with their only pesto being parsley based rather than basil, I personally hate the parsley pesto and wish they would change it! Additionally, the only time I ordered takeout from here our pie was brought out very late and very cold, but anytime I've dined in person we had a nice hot meal. I'd overall recommend to anyone looking for a casual date night, or a place to bring visitors for a late night meal

Not your typical pizza place! The dining room is tastefully decorated with an intimate vibe for dinner service with candles on the table and dim lighting. We ordered a pizza to share and drinks. The wine pours were light and made me wish I ordered a cocktail or beer. They got my dates drink wrong but once the right one arrived he enjoyed it. The service was slow but it made us feel relaxed to sit and enjoy the ambiance. The pizza was exceptional and very filling. We shared one pizza and took home leftovers. I will definitely be back to try more options!

The inside of this location in Nashville seemed very nice. There was a bar and plenty of seating. I walked in and placed a to-go order. The wait was about 25 min. The pizza had some weight to it and was cut into 6 squares, which was more than enough for 1 person. I found the pizza crust to be thick and flavorful. The mushrooms, onions, and sauce melded well together and proved to be robust. Even though this pizza was not the healthiest and probably was a ton of calories, this was a good solid Detroit style pizza that I would buy again.

Amazing service and likely the best pizza I have ever had. It was jalapeños and honey. The appetizers we all delicious. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend

Twice now I've ordered pizza from Emmy Squared on Uber Eats and the crust was still doughy. I'm wondering if it always comes out like this. It would be much better if thoroughly cooked.

Super cool pizza place. We went to the location in the gulch area. I sat at the bar. The bartender gave great service. The pizza was great. It was a thick crust style so it fills you up quick! But the toppings were awesome. Cold beer and hot pizza! what more do you need?
