Mama Mia! Beautiful Italian yummy salty meats, provolone and fresh veggies. They were nice to substitute arugula for lettuce.

We stopped in this morning because we were looking for a gluten free breakfast. My wife got the avocado toast on gluten free and she loved it! I got the Morning Breakfast sandwich with turkey. The sun-dried tomato aioli is delicious! We also had the peanut butter mocha and cafe Viennese (honey cinnamon latte) and both were delicious!The staff were very friendly and gave recommendations. The restaurant was a nice setting that you could definitely sit down to work or have a nice meal.

Tried to order online. Followed the link from their website to the app they advise you to use and the link didn't work. So downloaded the app seperately. The app works until you go to pay when it does not do anything - no feedback if the order was placed and your card was charged or if the order failed. So now I didn't know if my credit card was charged so i called their phone number - straight to a mailbox full message! Ugh.I drove to the store to see if the order was placed and pick it up. They asked what app I placed the order through and when I told them their app, they immediately responded "oh yea, that doesn't work." Why do you not take down the app or revise your site then?! I was pretty frustrated but just smiled and placed my order since I had a hunger child to feed.I placed my order and it was made reasonably quick. My son got a small turkey and I got a large roast beef. There was little difference between the quantity of meat of the two sandwiches. The meat and dijon mustard tasted fresh and good, but I expected more meat on the large. I'd give this place a star back if the online experience and phone is fixed. And another star back if there was more than two thin layers of meat on the large" sandwich. 1st impressions go a long way, so doubt I'll be back soon.

Food was good. I love going to local cafes. I would go back. My only negative is that my friend asked the woman who took her order what was in a couple coffee drinks and she didn't know. The woman taking the order also asked my other friend if she wanted cream in her cappuccino. A cappuccino is a cappuccino. Anyway, all that said the food was yummy, vibe OK, and location great as it's right off the 15 freeway.

So happy I finally got the chance to try this place!! Elmisa is a cute little cafe with a lot of great food and drink options.We got the Rula, the Hampeño sandwich, and the mango/pineapple smoothie. One thing that stands out is their ingredients are very fresh. Both sandwiches were soo tasty and the flavors complemented each other well. The Rula is like a pesto/chicken sandwich, while the Hampeño is the perfect combo with jalapeños.The smoothie was really refreshing and I could taste chunks of the fruit which is my favorite.I think I would give this place a high 4.7/5. The only downside is that it is a little pricy for the amount of food, but since the ingredients are so fresh I'm not mad about it.Would recommend a visit here!!

Came across this delightful place when looking for a quick & cute breakfast spot. The staff were all really friendly and the breakfast was great! They had a nice variety of items on their menu, I'll have to go back to try some more! They also have a pizza place in Escondido called Pizza 22 (read this on a sign in the cafe) which I'm sure is just as good. Will have to try that some time too!

Popped into Elmisa Cafe to meet up with my cousin after bot having seen her in LITERAL years!Had the Prosciutto and Fig toast and a Tuxedo Mocha. Both were amazing!!The staff is super friendly and helpful if you can't make up your mind as to what you want. They have indoor and outdoor dining options and the ambiance is really nice.10 out of 10 would definitely recommend

Who knew food that's so simple on paper could be packed with so much flavor!? I absolutely love the food at Elmisa Cafe; it's fresh, delicious, and healthy enough to make you feel good.I realize my regular plate and food in my photo here looks a bit different from what someone might see on the typical menu, and that's because we often order off the catering menu for work. Despite the differences in specifics, I wish they served the Pinwheel bites regularly, because they are genuinely the tastiest pinwheels I've ever had every time I have them. Off the regular menu, breakfast is my favorite here. The Urban Veggie Sandwich and Avocado Toast are absolutely delicious and take the #1 spots for me, but I'd happily take any breakfast sandwich I could get from Elmisa and call it a very good morning.This spot is easy, delicious, quality, and super reasonably priced. It's got great vegan options. If they came up with a gluten free bread option, I'd become even more of a regular than I already am, but either way I would definitely recommend it!

It always shocks me that this place beat out a Starbucks (used to be a Starbucks but I don't think it did well enough but Elmisa almost always has a [short] line).I love their drink options and their food is *chef's kiss* so good! Lately I've been getting the large Reuben and it is so filled to the brim with meat and good sauce. I love it!

It was my first visit and I only purchased an iced beverage for the drive home, but I was overwhelmed by the amount of customers inside the establishment purchasing drinks, sandwiches, pastries and various snacks. Everything I saw was very inviting, and made me wish I had not just finished a meal only minutes before.I selected an Spicy Iced Chai Tea Latte, and it was extraordinary to say the least! A heavy bite of Chai, yet smooth on the palate, and delightfull for the tongue. Located near the freeway; ample parking; quaint indoor and outdoor seating; and extremely friendly staff.Highly recommend.
