While in the Chicago area we had a chance to visit this yummy pancake house. The restaurant was cute and clean. Service was prompt and the hot coffee was always being filled at your request. My daughter said her hot cocoa was the best she ever had!

I ordered online via Yelp & it took an hour and a half to get my meal. I got there pretty early to pick up & they said they were keeping an eye on it. Telling me it was the waffles that was taking so long. I tried to be patient and the. asked again they said they were having it up. Then all of the sudden the owner said I should have ordered it from their website vs via yelp. I am out of town - we were trying to get a meal. Why would it matter where I ordered ??? They had my order and then she said they accidentally gave my order to a doordash guy that literally came in for 2 min. They had to remake my meal. They relatively nice but I it was VERY off putting that she made me feel like it was my fault to took that long to get my food. Also nothing to accommodate the fact that I waited so long - didn't have any remorse that it took me that long to get my meal. Even once she handed me my bag she said "next time order directly from our website". No thank you I will never be back. Side note: Food was decent but I also paid extra for breakfast sausage and got 2 for $7

We went out for our usual Saturday brunch with my 91 year old mother. Elly's is close to her residence, and while she goes there with friends, we hadn't tried it before. It is a brunch location so they didn't go overboard of decorations. But, although not decorated, it was ample in size and it was clean.The restaurant is nice, and has a great brunch menu. Mom ordered her usual, Eggs Benedict (and as usual, ate a few forkfulls, only). I had the Lox and Onion Omelette - the lox used is very salty and made the omelette itself too salty, but delicious none-the-less. My son had a Skillet. The food, overall, was great.The service was fair. We had a server who was either new or distracted. We had to remind them several times to bring items, some of which never made it at all. When the check came, we made sure those items were removed.I don't believe service like that is typical. My mom would never recommend we go there since service is more important than the food to her. So, when Elly's comes up in our brunch location rotation, we will return.

The service was attentive. The portions were fast, exactly as ordered and huge! Never felt rushed and the bathrooms were immaculate.usually when I ask for well done hash browns I get soggy hash browns with a tad bit of color, here they were perfect!

Old fashioned pancake house with all the usuals. Nothing fancy, but good place to take the kids. Appreciate the gluten free options including French toast, pancakes and waffles. Some items fall flat, such as the crepes, but overall something for everything.

You are welcomed on all sides: visually clean modern design with warm accents, a friendly host, a knowledgeable, friendly wait staff, and a warm comfortable booth. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette with hash browns. The food came out hot without a long wait, but also not rushed. The folded omelette was flavorful, but there wasn't anything specifically making it outstanding. The hash browns were the same, good but nothing outstanding. This is typical diner food. The price is good, and the fact you can Apple Pay through toast is a nice touch. If you want a modern, stepped-up diner experience for breakfast, this is a good choice.

Came in on a Monday morning for brunch. It was very busy but got seated pretty quickly for two which was awesome! The inside is spacious and decorated nicely. I ordered the meat lovers skillet and upgraded my pancakes to s'mores. The skillet was tasty and definitely filled with tons of meat! The s'mores pancakes were good but too rich to eat the whole plate (if you have a super sweet tooth I'm sure you'll love it!). It is on the more expensive side for breakfast - our OJ was $6. Otherwise a great experience!They have two parking lots but it was so busy I had to circle a few times to wait for someone to leave to get parking. There is street parking though.

There's something for everyone. We had the veggie omelette, kids cheeseburger and avocado toast. Everyone was happy with their food. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed and tasty. Service was a little spotty as they were super busy.
