Such a fun experience! We loved showing our daughter the juke box and had fun choosing songs while waiting for our food. Came here on a Thursday for lunch and so glad we did! We were at a nearby playground and got this recommendation from a Nashville local. We were able to snag a booth right away and had a great server (Holly). She was personable and so incredibly patient with our daughter throughout the meal. She refilled our drinks without us even asking and got us to-go cups when she found out we were on a road trip. So thoughtful! The food was absolutely delicious. I had meatloaf, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes, knowing I would be sharing my meal with our daughter. The biscuit was saved for later, but it was likely the best biscuit I've ever had. It was super fluffy and light on the inside. Doesn't get much better!

Travel back to the 50's with a vist to this cute soda shop restaurant. Booths are even equipped with your very own jute box! Although the only music that was being played was country. The tables had a jute box by the wall. The jute box theme was even carried through to the rest room where walls were adorned with framed 45 records. The food tasted like home-made. I enjoyed a hamburger with greens. Other side choices included fried okra as well as the traditional french fries. We topped off our lunch with a root beer float! Service was great and fast! Even faster than McDonald's! There was also outside seating. I came with my service dog and had no problem as we had at other places during our trip.I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for lunch during your stay in Nashville!

Absolutely loving the old school diner look. They have the 50's style bar stools and bright, neon lights. There's a long counter where individuals and small parties can sit. This is a perfectly viable option when there are no tables available, and on weekends, this could certainly be the case.Originally our large-ish group (8 or so) sat at the counter. However, when a table opened up, the staff, well, begrudgingly moved us. This meant a change in server, which I know is a headache. Needless to say, we were very appreciative of their accommodation. That's really all the good I can say about this place. From here on out, the service was sub-par. Lots of empty glasses needing refills throughout the meal. I got an omelet with a side of sausage and fried potatoes. The omelet didn't appear to be seasoned, and the sausage and potatoes were way overcooked. There was little to no satisfaction derived from eating this. This truly is your prototypical diner. Somewhat of a rarity in present times. I can certainly see the appeal for people wanting a standard diner breakfast following a raucous night out. Being a diner, however, doesn't preclude it from serving acceptably cooked sides. I've had some of the best breakfasts in my life at diners. This should be what Elliston Place Soda Shop excels at, and unfortunately that's not the case.

Helloooo cute diner vibes! I went to Elliston Soda Shop with some friends over Spring Break in Nashville recently. We ordered the Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae and an order of the Banana Pudding. The Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae comes with a huge warm brownie topped with banana slices, vanilla ice cream, fudge drizzle, whipped cream, and maraschino cherry. I really enjoyed this as well. This thing is HUGE so perfect for sharing with friends! I found the brownie to be a bit too dense and wished there was more ice cream because the bits at the end were just brownie (no ice cream/whipped cream cream). But the star of the show. O.M.G.... is the Banana Pudding. She is quite unassuming (translated: ugly-looking) but man this was legit TO DIE FOR. It's so good. Perfect amount of banana flavor, delicious Nilla wafer pieces, pudding was custardy and thick (but not too thick). This is hands down the best banana pudding I have ever tried. NEED TO GET AGAIN!

If you are looking for good food and fast service, come here! We stopped by for brunch on a weekday and we were seated right away. The hostess was friendly as she greeted us when we walked in, and she dropped off menus as we sat down. We looked over the menu and it was simple and fast to look over. The server came over soon after and she took our orders. I ordered the #1 (two eggs, bacon, side of home fries and biscuit) I also asked for a side of gravy and sausage and I got a strawberry soda with the added "Zinger". My sister ordered the fried chicken and biscuit entrée. (fried chicken, with two eggs & pepper gravy) Food didn't take too long for it to arrive and it looked so good once it was brought out. It was a lot of food and everything was great. The sausage tasted really good and had a great flavor. I also really enjoyed the potatoes as they were hot and had a nice crunch on the outside. The biscuit with gravy tasted soooooooo good. The biscuit was moist, airy, and warm. The chicken was delicious and had a good taste to it.The only thing we didn't like was the soda with the added phosphate. That has got to be one of the nastiest drinks I've ever tried......The inside was clean and its decorated nicely for the holidays. Service was good, food was great, and we had a good time.

Hanging around Vanderbilt and needed a fast place to grab lunch. This place was fast and comforting. The staff work together to make sure that you get your order quickly. They have a diverse menu with much to choose from. You can get some spicy favorites or opt for all veggies. I had an elaborate order planned before I turned my head and saw the stack of shake cups... so the plans changed to save room for a shake. Orange is unique. Vanilla can't lose. For those who are fond of the 1950s and 1960s, you'll hear your favorite earworms. Cheer up, sleepy Jean. Oh, what can it mean to aDaydream believer and a Homecoming queen?

We had a reservation for breakfast for a party of 6 on Friday, 10/13/23, at 10:00 am. There were plenty of open tables, but a reservation would probably be a good call on a weekend! I wish I remembered our waitress's name. She was wonderful!I got the Three Egg Omelet ($11.99). It was very good with a very generous amount of vegetables! The biscuit and potatoes were great!I got the Cherry Famous Soda ($4.99). Would not recommend. It didn't have much flavor.Others got the Fried Chicken & Biscuits ($12.99) and Two Pancakes & Two Eggs ($13.99) and they enjoyed them.Good service and good food!

This place is so cute, the red and white diner vibes are definitely a hit.The service is really what makes this place stand out. The staff are incredible! Super attentive and helpful.I got the four vegetables plate - squash casserole, turnip greens, fried okra and creamed corn. My favorite was definitely the squash casserole. It was so flavorful. I tried my friend's milkshake which really had me singing. Overall worth a visit!

Meat and threes are hard to come by nowadays. And although this isn't your traditional cafeteria version, it's still pretty good. You can customize your sodas, get a great milkshake and piece of pie as well. Overall it's a solid option. Give it 4 stars because it never fails that we've had to wait for our food and for service constantly. Even when they aren't busy. The day we were there it seemed they had an impromptu staff meeting to discuss the new wine they were offering. That's fine, but it was pretty busy and we would have loved to leave and have our check handled. The staff is super friendly and amazing though. I recommend this place to tourists all the time!
