Elite Buffet

Food is well prepared the staff is nice , the cat fish and stringed beans are a killer!!! My family goes there at least twice a week

Elite buffet is better than some but not nearly as good as others. Food is middle of the road. The steam tables were full and several of the items were tasty while others were hard and cold. For the price (drink included) it's not bad. Would not go out of my way to find it, but if you are nearby, it's a good place to go.

I was there today and saw disgusting thing. One of the workers was putting new food on the buffet tables. That person had food gloves on hands, seems hygienic right? But that wasn't a case. That person touched cart with gloves, then wiped counter top with yellowish washcloth, then putted fresh food on trays. The disgusting part is that person touched food with same gloves without serving utensils and combined trays . The gloves should have been changed between tasks to prevent cross-contamination. Never going there again.

I was there this weekend. The biggest roach I've see seen in life crawled off my table and hit the floor. It freaked me out so bad I just got up and walked out.

Stopped here @2 hours to closing since I was in the area. It was good because they were still putting out fresh food trays. There was a really good variety of food and nothing I ate was bad (always a good thing). Typical strip mall Buffett meaning nothing fancy, but they were cleaning /sweeping and wiping the food counters down regularly while I was there, again, that's always a good sign.The Buffett wasn't amazing but like I said, nothing was bad so it's definitely place to bring the kids!!It was like $16 for during the week INCLUDING a soft drink which I think was a very good deal!!

Soup was good but the food wasn't fresh and we were one of the first people, tasted old and cold. I wouldn't recommend this place

The service is horrible the woman picking up the plates went to my table trying to fight me in front of my kids and family .i told the so called manager but she didn't care at all .its so small with horrible customer service. Don't recommend at all

This was a really decent buffet and mostly because the food was fresh around 3pm and I was famished.Asked if they used 'MSG' and the manager said "very little".They had fresh ripe fruit on the buffet and really enjoyed that at the end.One of the better Chinese buffets in San Diego but again maybe I was bias cause of how hungry I was.For sure would return.

I have been going to Elite Buffet for over 20 years. I got take out today and was unhappily surprised. The food quality has gone way down. No avocado in the California rolls! The scallops that used to be wonderful, taste like yucky fish. Somwhow, so do the stuffed mushrooms! The salad bar looked great, but not about to pay that price for salad. Very disappointed in the overall fishy taste of everything. Sad. It used to be good. That was my last visit.

Family had lunch here at Elite Buffet on a Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant is located in a shopping center, and the neighborhood is a bit run down. Lots of homeless people around, too. Not busy at all. Small restaurant with only one entrance and exit. Lady checking us in was nice. Typical Chinese food. Nothing special. Drinks were included. Some fresh fruits. Deserts were disappointing. There were like 3 pots of soups. Bathroom could use some cleaning and updating with lots of graffiti everywhere. Only one foundation drink station, and it could use a bit of organization and cleaning. There was only one waiter, and he also handled refilling the food, too. One thing that bothered me was that there were no napkins at any tables. You had to go to the end of the restaurant to get them. Overall, compared to other AYCE Chinese restaurants, this one is somewhere along the bottom. It could be just the time of the day, but I don't think we would be returning to this place, again.
