El Torero Mexican Restaurant

Came to El Torero for dinner with a friend. There are a few parking spots in the front and a good sized parking lot in the back and parking is free!You walk in and seat yourself and there are menus laying about. The menu is EXTENSIVE and I mean extensive. Every combination is outlined. Upon sitting down, servers will bring you warm tortilla chips and salsa. Halfway through our first basket, they asked if we wanted warm chips? Of course we said yes and they gave us a new basket and took our half empty basket of chips? A little wasteful here because I would like to believe they threw away those chips. Servers will refill salsa by bringing a salsa kettle by which I found to be really cute.When you order a soft drink or water, you get your cup AND a mini pitcher to refill your drink. So cute. This is definitely a mom and pop owned restaurant and all the staff here were great. I ordered the shredded steak chimichangas. My chimichangas were meaty and crispy even after a cheese dousing. The salad component was pretty standard. A solid Mexican dinner and none of that Tex Mex stuff!

Always good food and good margaritas.Sosa is good as well. One of our regular places in the Highlands.

Atlanta is quietly an ethnic food town and El Torero is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at. The best thing here is the Chile Rillenos which are huge and overstuffed. In fact the beef one is so delicious which such a great sauce its akin to a Mexican stuffed pepper. It was so good I was in Atlanta for a week and went here twice. I wish I had gone again. The owner is legit with great service and a delicious all you can eat chips and housemade salsa. I will be back.

My first time visiting for date night on a Monday. Very friendly hosts and the food along with drinks were great. I had the fajita special and special ABC burito that was huge. We also had Texas Margarita pitcher that had us nice LOL! definitely will be back to try their ribeye.

So freaking good every single time. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. The Chili Relleno is the best in town. And their salsa is amazing too. Would post a pic but I already inhaled it.

The food was amazing so fresh and plentiful! I had an appetizer and had to bring home a to go box! The staff was super nice and the place is a local favorite! The prices are reasonable and the drink menu is great! My New Mexican favorite when I'm in Atlanta!

We work not far from here so Ive been coming here for over 25 years. The food has always been delicious, reasonably priced and great service. Not too long ago, some new faces have taken over and as hard as it is to believe... it's EVEN BETTER NOW! I just ordered (3) meals togo... they said it'll be ready in 3 minutes.... I arrived in 3 minutes and there it was, ready to go They're always smiling and sharing the joy. We love this place. Hope you agree ;-)

El Torero never disappoints! I used to go to the location on Druid Hills before it closed. This location is smaller, but just as good. The cheese dip is one of my favorites - probably the best. I highly recommend coming on a weeknight when it's quiet.

Mark and Manuel made sure our experience was top notch! The food was excellent and the adult beverages were quite delicious! Might I recommend the Texas margarita!! We did not have to wait for a table and our drinks and food came out promptly! The salsa made my nose run...yes, it was spicy but delicious!

Been a long time customer... solid food and generous portions... love this place! Amazing salsa!
