El Tigre Churros Y Platanos

This place is hard to miss. My navigation took me across the street. If my brother in law wasn't with me, I wouldn't have known where to go. We came by on a Friday night around 10:30 pm. Yelp says the place was closed but it was not. We wanted to order one thing and it was churros. I've had them before since my sister had ordered from them. Prices were $5 for an order of churros. I had a $20 so I had asked for 4 orders. The lady said, "8 pieces?" I said, "OK."It took about 5 minutes for them to prepare the churro and give it to me. When she handed me my order, there were 4 bags with 8 pieces. I was thinking it was 8 pieces for 4 orders. I ended up with 32 pieces!We got home and dug right in. Churros were nice and fresh! They were fried to a perfection. The actual churro had a slight saltiness to it and the sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon meshed well with the fried goodie. Definitely coming back again when I am craving churros late at night! Only problem is the location is in a sketchy part of SD and limited parking. Not a good place to come if you're alone.

This churro is the bomb!!! Crispy not too sweet great flavor. They are very friendly and inviting service with a smile. I will frequent this spot.

So good you must come here and try the churros. Freshly made in front of your eyes. The best I ever had. Each order comes with 8 long pieces. We had get another set after getting a first round. Also good are plantains. We now just tried the champunado which seems to be a corn soup. Also amazing.

This place is great for fresh churros and the staff are super friendly! I don't need to drive all the way down to the border anymore which is great! They also open till 10:30pm so it's nice to have a late night snack.

The churros are crunchy outside and soft inside! Sweet plantains are with just right amount of sweetness. The food came to us very quickly! People work there are friendly. I would love to go back and try the hot dog!

Awesome place! The original one too. The other ones at the malls aren't as good as this place. :)

Freshly made when you order! Can't wait to come back and try the fried bananas and the tamales! Everything is really $5! Can't go wrong, everyone was super nice and fast to get your dessert!
