My friend suggested we go here after golf one Sunday morning. Not living downtown and wanting to try this place for quite some time, I was more than happy to go along with the suggestion. I sampled three tacos and one burrito. The best of the tacos was the shrimp and octopus. However, my favorite item was the Frontera Burro. Filled with hot and fresh mushrooms, squash, corn, and beans and rice, it is one of the best burritos I've eaten in quite some time (and the portion size is more than adequate). I gladly pass on my friend's suggestion to come here if you are in the mood for some great Mexican food and a friendly open atmosphere.

I've only been to El Tesoro twice. Each time I visited was a Saturday when they first opened. My first visit I had taken a walk in the neighborhood and wanted to try the horchata and I had it with espresso. It was good. The next weekend I ordered carryout and had a couple of tacos. Oddly enough the pescado and chorizo taco were bland. It was the strangest thing.I want to definitely try again. The presentation of the food was great but no flavors were there.

Came here with my husband and toddler for dinner. Line was long but moved pretty quickly. They had a lot of drink options which was nice and all outdoor seating with very limited parking. We were excited to try this place but were very disappointed. We ordered the roasted tomato and salsa verde and queso which were all very bland and tasteless. I ordered a fish taco and the first bite I took had a huge toothpick in it. The fish was bland and I lost my appetite after getting a toothpick in my food. My husband ordered the carnitas burrito which was loaded but lacked any flavor as well. Very dry and bland. The only part he enjoyed was the tortilla. We ordered my daughter a quesadilla which was your run of the mill and the esquites which also did not taste great. Wasted our time and money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

The ambience was great, I really love the tents and lights and it feels really homey. They had hispanic music and cumbias which made me want to dance. The food, was absolutely delicious, I got the tostones with guac which were scrumptious and the guac really tasted authentic, the tostones were big and crunchy. I got a mulita and it was also very hot and tasty. The employees were very nice and serve you your food. Overall, would definitely recommend. The only downside was trying to find parking as it is kind of in the corner of a neighborhood, so you need to find street parking if you are driving.

Best outdoor space in Atlanta! Amazing food for the whole family. The mushroom tacos should never be skipped!! I've never had a mulita style that didn't absolutely blow my mind!!! No wrong choice on the menu. Be warned that for kids most food is a bit spicy but the cheese quesadilla is mild and great for kids.

Always a great experience at El Tesoro! If you enjoy having fresh good quality food and phenomenal drinks on a patio this is your place. Though there's people driving in, el Tesoro has a great neighborhood vibe with a massive patio. They offer tacos, burritos, quesadillas, brunch, drinks, etc! I love going for weekend brunch, I typically order a chorizo burro with a bloody Maria (basically a Bloody Mary w/ tequila). Just be mindful because there can be a gnarly line at times.

This place was the bees knees. We stopped by on our way to an event and I seriously will be going back just for this place alone. The seating is outside aside from a few tables in tents, but they had fire pits going to make it super cozy. The staff were some of the best I've ever met, seriously happy to be working there and with the level of quality they turn out, I don't blame them.We ordered the tinga de pollo (chicken burrito), tamales, asada tacos, fish tacos, and the shrimp and octopus tacos. The burrito was bigger than my arm and absolute perfection. The melty cheese just made it so unbelievably good. The fish and asada tacos as well as the tamales were good. Don't get me wrong but the shrimp and octopus? I could order 500. I will be daydreaming about them forever.

When my cousin told me where we were going, you know your girl immediately had to look it up. The first picture I saw was tostones. I was sold. Something about this spot was new and refreshing. It was exactly what I was looking for on my trip to Atlanta. Fun and open outdoor seating surround the walk up area for ordering. To the building's side is where you pick up your order. Everything looked delicious but I grabbed the carnitas mulita. Before I talk about that l, I have to mention all the dips. Yes that's right, we ordered all the dips as per the flyer. The guacamole was chunky and had a kick. The queso was thick and more of a dip rather than melted queso. It had so much flavor. But back to the mulita. They crisp up the cheese on the outside and then dress it as a quesadilla. My only complaint was I needed more carnitas. They put a few big chunks of meat, but it definitely could have been filled out more. The agua fresca was a mango tropical flavor, also very refreshing. I wish I could have got the whole jug. This place is truly a gem. I hear the happy hour is lit. If you're in the area, this is a must visit.

I've passed this place many times with the thought of stopping. Nope. Line around the corner. Today, it was beautiful in The A. So why not. The line took about 35 minutes. I was in front of a couple with a cutie dog named Judy. I noticed people getting out of line and coming back with a drink. I asked the two guys behind me (one of them had disappeared and returned with a delicious looking drink). They told me to go through the fence and walk up to the bar. Score. They held my spot. I got a Texas margarita and went back to waiting. I decided on tacos. Carnita, barbacoa, and an awesome shrimp and octopus. OMG. I also got the best queso with Serrano peppers on the side. I sat in the sun smiling. There are large water jugs in several places. On the lower outdoor patio, they have games. Ok, the line was long, but talk about worth the wait. I'll be back with hubby.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Today we walked over to El Tesoro to pickup food for a family get together. We ordered two Taco Party's and the manager Chris was beyond accommodating and kind. He asked all the right questions and made sure we didn't leave anything out. Seriously this place is fantastic if you're having family over (6-8 people) call ahead and order a Taco Party it is the perfect amount of food and as usual this place is 12/10 always exceptional food / service. Glad to have yall in the neighborhood. Ambiance is also friendly and inviting and perfect for families to dine in.
