I love fish tacos and theirs are good! I just prefer grilled over fried. These were fried. I was charged for a combo of 3 fish tacos plus rice & beans. All I got was the tacos. There as lettuce, tomatoes and avocado on them. Many other responsible priced Mexican food items. My son got a steak burrito which he said was substantial and good. They give you a couple salsas to go with it. Charging 25 cents for a to go bag is well over the usual 8 cents in Everett.

My husband and I ate here yesterday and it was a really awful experience as a whole. I ordered the Fish Tacos Combo with a margarita and my husband ordered a Wet Burrito with ground beef and a Pacifico beer. The service was the worst part of the entire experience even though we both had to also stop eating our food because mine was absolutely tasteless (even after adding salt and hot sauce) and my husband's meat inside his burrito was burnt completely black. As for the terrible service, it started off with the table not being wiped clean. Okay, no problem, that wasn't a big deal by itself. But then a second waitress came to wipe it off, okay fine. Then when she took our food order our drinks we ordered right when we sat down had still not been provided. After she set down our food we patiently waited for her to bring us some silverware. Without it there was no way my husband could start eating the wet burrito he ordered. We figured she would bring the silverware with our drinks. Nope. After staring at our food and watching it grow cold for at least five minutes I got out of my seat and walked to the front cash register area to politely ask for silverware. The waitress seemed annoyed and gestured kind of like she wanted me to sit down and she would bring it to me at a later time. I decided to just continue to wait for her to hand me silverware. Then she told me for the second time someone was getting us our drinks. As we sat there, I started to notice even more that the place was not particularly clean. We should have left as soon as I saw the two grody and forgotten in-plain-sight candy machines standing by the front door. After eating for awhile, and even adding salt and hot sauce, I still did not like the tacos and stopped eating them. My husband stopped trying to pick around all the burnt-black meat in his burrito and just gave up on eating it.The waitress never came to check on us ever again. Then we got tired of waiting, so I walked up to the cash register again and asked to pay. Two waitresses were present but both told me that my waitress would be back soon. I stood there waiting so long that the cook even stopped his work to walk up to the register and ask me if I needed something? I told him I was trying to pay and wanted to leave. As I continued to stand there waiting, I noticed my food ticket with the four total items was sitting directly next to the register. Anyone could ring me up. Why must I wait until my waitress finally reappeared from the back? I honestly was beginning to feel extremely frustrated and like a hostage. I really just wanted to pay and leave immediately. Finally my waitress reemerged from the back. She let me pay and I will never be ever going back to El Taco Boom. I almost wish I would have been comfortable enough to tell her that the food was terrible. But honestly, I don't think she ever noticed that we stopped eating it, and even if she did, I got the distinct impression that she would not have cared. I'm extremely disappointed because it was WAY too expensive and the service and food were absolute appalling.(Directly after that we were still so hungry that we walked to a nearby Mexican restaurant where the service and food were exactly opposite from El Taco Boom. Thank goodness!)

My girlfriend and I met up here for our monthly meet.Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Credit cards are an accepted form of payment.Indoors reminded me of a Teriyaki joint rather than a Mexican restaurant. The bar area is dark and felt like a small closet. Beer choices are extremely limited.A posted sign in the window stated Happy Hour on draft beer; however, we didn't receive happy hour prices. We nibbled on complimentary chips and salsa while deciding what we were going to order. Sub-par.I had a couple draft Pacifico's for $4.56 each. My girlfriend had a couple bottles of Modelo Negra for $4.56 each.I chose the Regular Burrito for $7.75: ground beef, rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo. Absolutely delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Three Taco Combo for $9.50. She stated that she enjoyed her meal choice as well.Service was all right and friendly enough.Overall, I'm glad that we tried El Taco Boom. To be honest, I will only go to El Taco Boom in the future to pick up a to-go order, rather than dine on-site.

This is a delivery review, but over the last 5 years or so, it must be for 20 deliveries, including a couple big orders for football parties and stuff. They always make good. They first came up in conversation for having the best carne asada fries around here, and that turned out to be very true. I had to give up potatoes along with other starches, or else they'd probably still be making it for me a couple times a month. Even after 10 minutes in a car, their asada fries are bomb.Lately I've ordered more tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, and these aren't things I have all the time anymore. I save up space for cheat meals with this stuff now, and Boom is always worth it. Big servings, big flavors, fair prices. They throw in plenty of extra salsa and guac when you order it, and those come in handy if there's any left over. (There's often none left over).I know where the place is, kinda, but still haven't been in. It's silly to keep loving their food without posting about it though. Long live the Boom!

Bad service. Gone downhill the last few years. Don't come here. Food is okay but service sucks. The owner is rude too from what I saw a few times.

My husband and I stopped here on a whim on a Sunday afternoon. I had the Chile Verde Pork - the best chile verde I've ever had. And the corn tortillas...fantastic! The service was okay, a little slow, but we didn't have anywhere we needed to be and it was gloomy, rainy day anyway so it was fine. My husband really enjoyed his meal, too (beef consomme or something like that?). We'll be back!

Plenty of other spots to go to. Ordered the 3 fish tacos combo, paid just under $17. Got told afterwards that there's no combo and it's just 3 tacos. For $17. lol. Goodluck!

Very disappointed. Brought a friend out of town and was excited for her to experience karaoke on a Tuesday. Just for us to be treated very poorly. We had to seat ourselves and on top that waiters were very rude. They all in the corner just gossiping. Totally killed the vibe. Food was mid. Super basic and could get it anywhere else.
