This is definitely authentic El Salvadorian cuisine! The pupusa are cooked so perfectly that you will be seriously contemplating ordering one (maybe 2) more! The yuca and chicharrón are crispy and not greasy, which shows the quality and care that goes into everything that comes out of the kitchen.Definitely a hidden gem that we can't wait to visit again. Mexican-Salvadorian breakfast served ALL DAY and if Salvadorian food isn't your jam, they have Mexican favorites to mix in.The staff are so sweet and hospitable that it feels like you're eating in a close friend's home! One waitress took the time to chat with my husband and I for a bit and it was so nice. Very clean and tidy with quick service.

I was in search of a traditional Mexican breakfast, and this hit the spot. Our server was friendly and welcoming. It's a nice, clean restaurant, tucked away in a corner. Prices were reasonable. Definitely coming back.

I had the carne asada and it was just ok. The meat was very small and it had what it seemed to be refried beans from a can. I also had a pupusa and it was much better and of a good size. What really kills the vibes is the music. It's so boring and it kills the vibe. Maybe for a church could work but not when you wanna have a good time. Next time I'll just order to go.

Tried this place for the first time today and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. The place has a nice atmosphere, attentive staff (Erik) and the food is solid! We tried the pupusas, tamales, tostadas and of course, their chips and salsa. It was all tasty and great quality. We're definitely coming back soon!

Recently I had the chance to try a new gem in Katy. El Sol restaurant, what a wonderful breakfast experience we had. First the restaurant itself was bright and airy very clean and inviting. Second our waitress was very welcoming and helpful in the ordering and dining process. Third the food was absolutely delicious and very flavorful! We both had Papusas and my brother had a glass of horchata it was cold sweet and delicious! I highly recommend this place!

DECEIVING PRACTICES, REGULAR FOOD, GOT THE BE PATIENT WITH THEIR MUSIC...This place has a menu that displays several "Lunch-specials", like any other restaurant that provides an incentive for an affordable lunch on week-days. for this, they announce plates with a Fountain Drink included, for X price. But, their Fountain Drink machine has not worked for several months, so they bring you a soda can instead. But when charging you the check, they charge for that Soda can separtedly. Why drink is not included as the menu promises?, well , because the menu promises from the machine, not from a can, same difference!, this is ridiculous. But they do not clarify you this when you order. All in all, the food is not that great, you need to wait easily 15-30 minutes for a Pupusas order, plus, all the time they will be playing out loud Christian music, whether you like to hear it or not. Funny, they have these deceiving practices... Would not recommend it.
