El Sol is a vibrant gem that transports you straight to the heart of Mexico. The beautiful murals outside and authentic Latin paintings inside create a welcoming and lively atmosphere. The Saltillo tile flooring and bakery vibes make you feel like you've stepped off the street and into a charming Mexican bakery. When it comes to food, El Sol truly shines. The chips are made from scratch and are nothing short of amazing, perfectly complemented by salsa that might just be the best in Arizona. The carne asada here is a bit unique compared to other places but is absolutely perfecto. It's no wonder I find myself eating here two or three times a week. The option to order a burrito in a bowl without the tortilla and add an egg for a protein boost is a thoughtful touch that caters to various dietary preferences. The service at El Sol is as warm and inviting as the food. Being family-run, the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff make you feel like you're dining at a friend's house. They ensure you're well taken care of and add to the overall wonderful experience.El Sol is a delightful escape with its beautiful ambiance, exceptional food, and welcoming service. For its authenticity, flavor, and heartfelt hospitality, I'd give it a glowing 5 stars. It's a place you'll want to return to again and again.

I was hesitant to try here due to mixed reviews but I'm glad I did! I had the Chorizo Plate for breakfast which comes with mix of chorizo and eggs, potatoes, beans and tortillas (corn or flour). The employee said they make their chorizo in house so had to try it out! It was good, but could use a bit more flavor. The potatoes were bland, no flavor. They also give you salsa bottles when dining in. The green salsa was spicy and the red was mild and perfect for me, which was funny since it's normally opposite. We also got a Pineapple Empanada to share and it was delicious. I wish there were more baked goods but they only had the fruit empanadas and some cookies. The restaurant is clean and the prices were decent. I will come back again to try more dishes!

I recently visited El Sol Mexican Cafe in Chandler, and it left a positive impression. The Sausage Breakfast Taco was a winner--juicy sausage wrapped in a warm tortilla. But the real star was the Chorizo Platter. The chorizo was perfectly seasoned, and the accompanying sauce was addictive. El Sol is a great breakfast spot for flavor enthusiasts.

Que Rico Buñuelo! Yummy los Frijoles perfecto. When I go to a Mexican restaurant first thing is judging the rice and beans. This place is 5 stars. Next is salsas I tried their hot and mild. Definitely home made and fresh. Wish I lived closer I would be coming here often for lunch because they close at 2pm. I bet their chilaquiles are just as delicious. Oh, wait inalso had a hibiscus agua de jamaica which was also perfectly done. Visiting from San Diego. Until next time!

El Sol is the most authentic Mexican food place that's I've encountered in the SE Valley, Chandler (downtown)... the pastry selection is very big and everything tastes sooo yummy... the sit-down breakfast is also awesome... I've had a few family gatherings catered by El Sol, and everyone is always impressed... so sending a shout-out to their staff... the food you create is perfect, and enjoyed by all!

Been here twice now for breakfast burritos. The first time was solid, closer to a 5 star review. This time around, the burritos are just okay. Both the chorizo and bacon breakfast burritos had very minimal of both chorizo or bacon. They were both more heavily egg burritos, which is incredibly disappointing considering I am NOT going to restaurant, especially a MEXICAN restaurant, for their eggs... will give them a third chance, but unfortunately, if you are looking for a solid breakfast burrito in the area, you have a 50% chance of it being a really good or subpar burrito. Considering how many Mexican restaurants are in the area, not sure if the gamble is worth it.

I am a native Chandler resident and have been trying so hard to find good Mexican food restaurants locally. I would also like to note I am a menudo fanatic but unfortunately I was disappointed especially with so many high ratings for their menudo. 1st - Overpriced $15.50 for a bowl with a few hominy which with tax and card fee = $17.212nd - the meat (cow stomach/ tripe) was full of hair. Yes I know that there should be a few here and there but the amount I spent picking off was a bit excessive. 3rd - The bolillo tasted like pan dulce I couldn't even finish one of the halves. With this said you should instead try Parrilla Los Picos in Mesa, AZ - Alma School and University. And no I don't work for them or being paid to advertise them. They just honestly give you the biggest bang for your buck and they are not stingy with the amount. You also have an option to do unlimited menudo bowl for the same price as the 1/2 you get here. Please up your menudo game!
