They use old, expired ingredients. The only safe thing to consume are the sodas, but they're $5.This is the worst taco shop in San Diego. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

ATTENTION MANAGEMENT:I've been a business owner for over 15 years.I know when it is time to fire an employee. An employee represents your company.Today 8/30/23 8:00am I ordered a Buenos Dias Burrito. I paid about $12. That is pretty expensive for food and it comes with high expectations if the price is going to be so high.See the photos, any human being knows how to make a burrito. You fold in the sides and roll it into a burrito. My burrito was first rolled and the edges folded in. Guess what happens when you make a burrito this way? All the contents fall out. You put the flaps into the burrito then roll it. Not the other way around. I never knew anybody to be so stupid to make a burrito backwards. I guess your employee don't respect you and don't care about your image or his job. My burrito was filled with a gallon of beans, a few pieces of carne, a spoon of eggs and ham. I didn't order this. And it was folded wrong. I think your employees need to spend less time laughing and clapping and having their own time and recognize they are working for you and your business.I took my burrito back for a refund. I know I paid about $12 on my credit card. I was given $7.39 back in cash.I think your business needs be restructured. Starting with a new cook that has experience folding a burrito and caring about the customer who eats it.Your cook just threw any old shit in a tortilla and half-ass rolled it up. He needs to find a new job if you know what I mean...

I have been here 3x so I feel well versed enough to leave a reviews.First time we came here was on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy, food was prepared pretty quick and there were two out door tables in front on the side walk for people to sit on. We sat outside as we were going to run errands after.I got the chilaquiles with green sauce, scrambled eggs. My husband got a breakfast burritos of some kind. These were the best chilaquiles I have had. The tortillas were crisp, the sauce was spicy and had such a good flavor. Best part they are super close to my house.Round 2. We got rolled tacos and carne asada fries. The rolled tacos were pretty unremarkable. The beef was stringy, not seasoned and came out of the roll on the first bite. The carne asada fries were different. The meat on them is more like pot roast than carne asada. They also use a thicker fry and the fries were seasoned. There was something about the cheese too that was different than traditional carne asada and I forgot to take a pic and it has been a few weeks. Overall wasn't impressed.Round 3 was back for breakfast. I got chilaquiles again and my husband got a breakfast plate. His eggs were supposed to be scrambled but were over easy so he didn't even eat it. He decided he would stick to burritos there for breakfast. On the second go round my chilaquiles were not as good. They were on the soggy side and did not have nearly the spice of before.Overall a decent taco shop close to my house for when I get a hankering for taco shop food.

Haven't had anything yet that I didn't like. It's not the best by any means, but just a short walk from home for me so it totally satisfies. Can't believe how expensive taco shops are these days but guess that's not really they're fault.

The meat was flavorful, a bit dry since guacamole was not included. Service was fast and quick. Reliable menu. I have had their California burrito and rice/bean burrito and both were good. Friendly place to order Mexican food, tacos should include guacamole though

I live in the area (The Square area) for the last 5 years. Tonight was the first time I've visited this establishment. I ordered a shredded chicken burrito with extra cheese. The cheese was an extra $2.50. I passed. The burrito, still a premium price (just under $10), was small, just had near zero flavor. Salt is rather inexpensive. Would I return, thinking this is a one off? I don't think so. I was warned by neighbors but thought I would give this place a chance anyways. So many better taco shops in the area.

El Rey Moro Taco ShopI've eaten at El Rey Moro Taco Shop several times in May and June 2020 via Delivery (Uber Eats). What got me hooked to order from here were reviews stating that this was a "hole in the wall" type place. I love trying those types of places! So far, I've tried:- El Kaz Burrito (Carne Asada, Eggs, Hash Brown, Cheese, Rice, Sour Cream and Guacamole)- Rosarito Omelette (Ham & Cheese; served with Bread and Hash Brown)- Baja Cali Omelette (Cheese, Avocado, and Sour Cream; served with Bread and Hash Brown)- Chorizo con Huevo (served with Rice, Beans, and Tortillas)My favorite of everything I've tried - the El Kaz Burrito. It is ginormous too (yes, technical term).NOM NOM NOM. Plus - a Mexican friend of mine likes this place!!ENJOY!!

How can you mess-up a bean burrito. The beans were bitter, cheese & guacamole was processed. cheese didn't melt, guacamole was an unnatural color and the taste I can even describe. I would not even serve this to my pet. I will not going back.
