El Pueblo Mexican Food

My girlfriends and I stopped into this El Pueblo for a drink and a quick taco. We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of having Joe as our bartender. I ordered a drink called Airplane-Mode. Not only was it so delicious, it was beautiful. He also made us legendary Strawberry Margs . JUST TOO GOOD!Between Joe, Ikaika, Dean and Carson, we felt so welcome. Huge thanks guys!! Sorry if we were kind of high maintenance. lolIf you want to have some laughs along with tremendous Mexican food and cocktails, this is the spot.It was such a great experience, I can't wait to come back.

THEEEEEE best fish tacos in town. You'd think for the price they would only be subpar but we waited for a long time and got FRESH, HOT and pretty large chunks of fish. The sauces are what really make this place - I'd recommend the Verde!! There's a whole salsa bar with jalapeno/carrots Only thing missing is cilantro and onions haha Although I'm usually a diehard flour tortilla fan; I'd recommend corn for these !!

As locals, we absolutely love this place! The staff is incredibly kind and amazing. We enjoy stopping by for a beer and margarita, and we can't get enough of the fish tacos and happy hour menu. It's such a fun, chill, yet upscale place to hang out.We're so pleased to have El Pueblo over Death by Tequila. Death by Tequila was too fancy and overrated.Oh, and we looOOOoovee las jams!!!

Good crunchy tacos, great salsa. Rice was great but cold. Beans were good but the cheese could have been melted. Both came in small portions so that was not great for me. My girlfriend's torta was good but she preferred to have had lettuce and tomato instead of guacamole which wasn't good. She'd prefer fresh avocado instead.

I'm a big fan of the original location near the Delmar Fairgrounds on Via de Valle. Nice to see they opened up this location in the former space of fancy restaurant Death by Tequila. As such the ambience, here is very upscale and even nicer. Fish tacos at this location are $1.29 at the moment. Prices seemed very high for other items. Service here was excellent and it's better staffed than the original location.

Probably the best affordable happy hour deals in the area. Plus $1.19 fish tacos everyday, when you on a budget, hungry and want a drink this'll place will do. The carne asada chips hit the spot, $8 during happy hour. Heavy on the guacamole and sour cream, enough meat for the price. Big enough serving to share or have as a meal and then some. We got the patron margarita tower, 4 margs for $40. You can choose your own flavor (cucumber, spicy, pina, mango, etc). Margs aren't bad. Beer on tap. Miches come with candy. Would definitely come back to try more food and other cocktails!

Best fish taco deal in Carmel Valley!!$1.19 big size fresh fried fish tacos, crispy batter, fish is fresh, shredded cabbage, white sauce and your choice of corn or flour tortilla. No better deal around!Place is well decorated, great vibe, staff is super friendly, many other happy hour options food and drinks. It's open until midnight everyday!

Allll right. Just came again on a Saturday morning around 1045am. My siblings (we introduced them to this place) wanted to bring their friends there. Had to get another set of fish tacos for $1.29 each. The word of mouth marketing really works! I thought about getting something else but you can't beat this deal! 3 tacos is the golden number for me, not too little where I'm still hungry, and not too much where I'm stuffed to the brim. And I always stick with flour. I just prefer the chewiness of the flour tortilla compared to the corn. Hands down best service in town. All the staff are so friendly, I have never come across anyone that was less than. I really hope the fish tacos deal sticks around!

If you've never had a fish taco from El Pueblo, you are missing out! I have been to some of the other locations, but was really excited to try this one out. We ordered at the counter and found a spot to sit at, there is indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff is continuously checking in, which is rare to find at counter service spots. They also have a full bar and make delicious margaritas. I believe we had come in during happy hour which is available on weekends! Fish tacos are always fresh and flaky - paired with delicious salsa you can pick from the salsa bar. Carne asada burrito was also outstanding, the meat is seasoned and cooked excellently. The quality of the food makes it all great. It is a very beautiful spot, in a great location. Looking forward to coming back.
