food is always great here. tried to e fish tacos for the first time and they were pretty good. you can't go wrong with food here. vibes are chill, workers are chill. i didn't like the cabbage salad that came with the fish tacos though. prices are a little high but you get quality food here, so it's worth it.

The food was really tasty, but it is on the pricey side. For that reason and the fact that we wanted to save room for some other food later, we only got an order of (raw) oysters, cioppino, clam chowder, and a salad - but all were solid. My favorite was the cioppino, but the chowder was also very good (and I've had lots of clam chowders, from everyone's favorite soup/salad buffet place to famous places in Boston). I'd come back for a nice date occasion.As a side note, the staff did a great job of coming to clear our empty dishes in a timely manner.

If you're looking for delicious, fresh, no frills seafood, this is your spot. Simple. Delicious. Super friendly and helpful staff. The place is a little echoey, so can be kind of loud. Seating is all first come, first served. But they had a good amount of seats available. A solid selection of beer but also a couple non-alcoholic drinks on hand too. Don't question it. Just go.

I love this place! Soo many choices and all so fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly. Inside and outside seating. I had the perfect lunch of shrimp cocktail and clam chowder. The cocktail sauce was extra horseradish-y, which I love.

Stopped by for a quick lunch with friend. All of the seafood was fresh and delicious. Oysters: The oysters paired great with the lemon juice. It is fresh which you can tastes a subtle sweetness, BUT I still tasted fishy at the end. The oysters did not have a stinky smell though. Maybe not the freshest oysters in town, but not the worst. Calamari Steak: This was ordered by my friend, and she did enjoy it. But it is not an amazing and must have dish. Grilled shrimp Salad: This was my favorite order! The shrimps are perfect grilled, it is juicy and lightly seasoned. I could still taste a subtle sweetness of the shrimp. It is large, tender, and soft. I love it with the lemon juice on top. Definitely recommend this! Sashimi platter: the fish is just so fresh, sweet, and melts in your mouth. My second favorite. Sautéed Mussels: I asked for no butter (lactose intolerant) which makes this dish a bit more lighter (super glad). I can taste the fresh mussels, no stinky or fishy tastes. The sourdough is great as well, goes well with the sauce/soup. Another of my favorite things. Shrimp Tacos: my friend enjoyed the shrimps more than the toco itself. We both agreed that it is better to order a shrimp platter or salad if you want to taste the shrimp (an overall two better options) since the shrimp is just SO FRESH! Overall, this place is a great for a quick meal. The employees were all friendly and helpful. The parking lot is a limited, so you might have to park on the street. There's also outside seatings and lots of seating inside. Great place to try out some fresh seafood in town.

Outstanding fresh seafood in La Jolla! Stopped here for lunch and was pretty impressed with the offerings. Ordered a bowl of cioppino, a scallop/shrimp burrito, a yellowtail/squid burrito and a calamari sandwich. Everything was awesome (except for the cioppino, they added too much butter and it did not taste authentic). The scallops here are really big and really sweet -- some of the best quality I've seen anywhere -- and cooked just perfectly, not rubbery and not raw! Note that the scallop/shrimp burrito is a special so may not be always available. But you can order the scallops on their own in a sandwich, plate or burrito -- you won't be disappointed!Yellowtail/squid burrito and calamari sandwich were also both cooked very well and super tasty. I will be back sometime to have more of their scallops! Service was fast and it wasn't too hard to find seating even though it seemed to be pretty busy during lunch hour. I would say that prices were pretty fair as well for the portion size and quality that we got in return.

This is the most amazing fish I've ever had in a restaurant. I shared a sea bass sandwich and seared tuna salad with my partner. The fish was so fresh and cooked perfectly. I'm glad we got there before dinner rush because shortly after we ordered there was a huge line! Luckily there were only a few people ahead of us when we got there so we ordered and got our food all within 20-30min. The restaurant was large and had indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. The outdoor patio was very pretty it felt like a little garden. Great vibes.

Sea to table here. The array of fresh seafood is gorgeous and plentiful. Pick what looks good and either take it home to cook or ask them to prepare it for you. We've done both, however when we've had it prepared in house, it's easy, fast and very tasty. Pay the cashier, take a number and have a seat. It's pretty straightforward. We love the fresh brewed teas but there is also a beer selection too. 2lbs of fresh clams & 2lbs of fresh mussels both steamed and prepared in a light but tasty broth. Loved! 1 whole octopus, grilled to perfection. A little over salted but still very nice to eat the heartier pieces. 1 whole Branzino from Greece, steamed- no sauce, no frills but simple and delicious. Marinated anchovies with a side of tartar which was set to the side. Why smother a delicious fish in cream? The anchovies are lightly oiled and delicious. I suggest making your own sauce to dip the cooked fish or anchovies in. What we did is simple and squeezed lemon with soy sauce. If you like kick, add your favorite hot sauce in addition.
