Excellent Restaurant! 70 Years in Business!Very Clean! Good Friendly Service!The Best Garlic Shrimp that I have ever Tasted! Carne Asada Steak was Tender and Tasty!Everything was Great and Worth the Drive from Silver Strand State Beach!

This location has been a staple for my parents for years! Its my second time coming here and its definitely gonna be on my "frequent" list. The ambiance makes you feel like your in the home of a close friend, better yet in middle of Old Town.The food is phenomenal, I had the 2 beef sope plate and my fiance had the enchiladas suizas plate. Customer service was homey and attentive.Sorry for the lack of pictures of the entrees, they looked good so we dug in lol

Food is good I had cheese enchiladas with egg. Very good ranchero sauce everything tastes authentic. I really love there salsa, it's smooth and delish. Service was excellent, he was friendly and mild mannered.I live the art and it's old time comfort of comfy booths and nice clean tables

Went here for the first time yesterday because of the good reviews. The service was decent, I did have a large group so I know mistakes happen and always expect it. The chips and salsa were ok, the salsa had good flavor but the chips tasted stale. I ordered the carne asada plate and added the nopalitos for an extra $1. This meal was already almost $20 so I was shocked at the serving size. The smallest and thinnest carne asada I have ever seen. It was enough for maybe 1 or 1/2 tacos. For $20 that's not what I expected. They also forgot to give me rice and they did correct that which is good. My mom had to ask 4 times for another drink. The lemonade had no syrup in it, tasted like lemon water. Just not the best experience

We have been coming here for years when we vacation for a week. The music is sweet. Miento by Pepe Aguilar set the mood. The setting is as pictured here with original paintings and lights. I ordered the especial Chili Verde Burrito dinner. The dish was traditional not adventurous hearty comfort food, spices mild. The refried beans had chili verde added. That was a nice touch. The waitress was Boomer-age (as we are), attentive and not overly busy. The wife & I had a nice meal celebrating and enjoying our life long companionship & love. Thank you El Patio.

I've lived in the area for almost my entire life and never knew of this place! Excellent food, drinks, and customer service. The prices are very fair. This may now be my favorite Mexican restaurant. Complimentary chips and salsa. And when we were running low on chips, the server refilled it without us even asking! WOW, I've never had that happen and it made me so happy. The margaritas and micheladas are delicious. They come with the chamoy candy rim. The margaritas have the same creamy/icy texture (so not like a slurpee) as my favorite taco spot in Tijuana. I ordered 2 apps as my meal, queso fundido and fiesta flautas. I enjoyed both and they were the perfect size. I would've liked the queso to be a bit more cheesy/melted down, but the chorizo was perfect. The actual entrees come in large portions and can be shared between 2 people. I can't wait to be back!!

Food was amazing!!! Service was amazing they were so nice and very helpful!! I love the ambiance and how it feels and it felt like a nice home cooked meal !

5/5 food and service. By far the best Mexican food we had. We came from Sacramento to vacation and would come back here next time we are in town. Love the interior of the restaurant and it's packed inside I guess this place is just that good!

Best fajitas in San Diego. I've been coming here my whole life but the food keeps getting better! My grandfather (a certified menudo expert) gives the menudo a 9/10 (my grandma's only barely beats it).
